Politická vize V. Klause / Political vision of V. KlausBinar, Martin January 2012 (has links)
The thesis analyses the thinking of Václav Klaus based on clashes with his rivals during his political career. The thesis works with hypothesis that Klaus is in this thinking connected with New Right, which was mainly present in world politics by Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. Values of Klaus are first analysed theoretically via analysis of conservatism, liberalism and finally their synthesis in so called New Right. Next part of the thesis provided evidence for hypothesis on national level, where Klaus was minister of finance and prime minister and third part on international level with Klaus as president of Czech republic. The hypothesis is confirmed at the end by summarizing evidence, which arose from particular chapters.

Analýza aktivit izraelské krajní pravice na Západním břehu / Analysis of the Israeli far-right activities on the West BankMrázek, Vojtěch January 2017 (has links)
There are many negative consequences related to the Israeli occupation of the West Bank. The phenomenon of the settler's violence is one of them. The aim of the thesis is to explain the conditionality of the violence and to put it into context with Israeli political scene. A quantitative analysis is made to examine the relationship between Israeli far-right parties' electoral gains and the incidence of violence against Palestinians residents of the West Bank. Also, spatial analysis is made to measure the level of clustering of the incidents. To articulate the theoretical assumptions, the theory of social cleavages was used. In line with the assumptions, the results suggest that in Jewish settlements on the West Bank, there is statistically significant connection between Israeli far-right parties' electoral gains and the number of the violent incidents. The strongest correlation is proven between the incidents and the electoral gains of the parties influenced by Kahanism, a militant racist ideology. There is a weaker correlation between the incidence of violence and the electoral gains of the parties representing Religious Zionism, an ideology that combines religion and nationalism. The spatial distribution of the incidents was irregular. There was a clustering of high values in several areas,...

Soustava Národní fronty / French National Front NetworkKurešová, Petra January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the Network of the French National Front and grasp the environment in which the party lives. The network of this French political party is represented by organizations of various types and is expanded through party press. The work examines how the party's associates influence activity within the political party and whether they are beneficiaries of the parties success and its continual development. At first there is the definition of the far right which is complemented by the historical evolution of the term. Following this is a description of far-right groups influencing the emergence of the National Front in 1972. These groups can be observed with some similarities in the organizational structure of the groups within the National front. Therefore it is important to describe the current organizational structure of the party so it can be understood how the party is presently managed. Every political party needs enough qualified people to effectively function, in this chapter the process for recruiting new members and their training is explored. The central part of the thesis is an analysis of associated organizations which aid the party in infiltrating society to disseminate propaganda, recruit new voters and activists and last but not least, raise...

Koaliční vazby v rámci antiislamistických subjektů v České republice / Coalition links within the anti Islamist organizations in the Czech RepublicProcházka, Lukáš January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis analyzes the coalition ties that have been established within the anti- Islamic scene in the Czech Republic. The analysis includes the most important counter- Islamic entities in the Czech Republic, namely the National Democracy, the Workers' Party of Social Justice, Dusk and its followers, and the Bloc against Islam and its followers. The theoretical basis of the thesis is the theory of coalitions. The aim of the thesis is to answer the questions why the anti-Islamic subjects of the coalition or other forms of co-operation follow up and why they do not follow them, even if they are offered because of their situation. Another aim of the thesis is to point out the possibility of using part of the theoretical approaches of the theory of coalition with certain modifications to the specific environment of the anti-Islamic scene in the Czech Republic, which is quite different from the national environment, for which the concepts of coalition theory were predominantly created. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part introduces theoretical concepts and approaches that have been used in the work. The second, empirical, part presents the development of individual subjects and, above all, the established coalition ties and cooperation. The last chapter summarizes the...

Projevy a determinanty podpory populistických radikálně pravicových stran v odlišném socio-kulturním prostředí: komparace Česka a Dánska / Rhetorics and determinants of support for populist radical right parties in different socio-cultural environments: a comparison of the Czech Republic and DenmarkKoníček, Michal January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis examines the suitability of generalization of the populist radical right parties (PRRP). In recent years, these parties have succeeded on the political scene of many European countries. Using the example of "new" Svoboda a přímá demokracie (SPD) political party and the established Danish People's Party (DF) it shows the differences in the party pre-election rhetoric and program, which are brought about by parties' age as well as by different historical developments in the respective countries. The historical context has affected contemporary political environment and, therefore, there are reasonable doubts about the generalization of the PRRPs. This is especially the case of post-communist countries, which, after years of oppression, had to go through a process of transformation that involved not only economic issues. This thesis is based on the Lipset's and Rokkan's cleavages theory, while it tries to confirm its existence in the given states, namely the economical, the religious, the center - periphery and the urban - rural cleavage. The inclusion of six tested factors in the analysis helps to do this. The multiple linear regression analysis tested which factors (the factors are socio-cultural, socio-economic, and demographic factors) have a statistically significant...

Německý krajně pravicový terorismus / German far-right terrorismŠtekl, Jakub January 2021 (has links)
This thesis focuses on the issue of far-right lone-wolf terrorism in Germany. Lone-wolf terrorism - terrorism perpetrated by individuals, who display no ties to terrorist organizations - is a concept, which is skeptically accepted by many scholars. The main issue with this concept is the emphasis of the "lone" part, especially during the preparation and the attack itself. Scholars, who refuse this concept claim, that in every case, the attacker is a member of a larger group - it can be either ideology-based or it can provide material assistance. Furthermore, lone- wolf terrorism is primarily associated with religious terrorism, probably because of the activities of Islamic state in recent years. However, this thesis approaches lone-wolf terrorism as relevant concept, which refers to a security threat, that is represented by radicalized and hard- to-detect individuals. The thesis focuses on three cases of far-right terrorism in Germany, which were committed by an attacker, that operated alone - Munich shooting (July 2016), Halle synagogue attack (October 2019), and Hanau shooting (February 2020). German society provided significant space for radicalization and spread of far-right ideology, especially because of its friendly politics after the outbreak of refugee crisis. Regarding the cases, the main...

Současný český nacionalismus v rámci krajní pravice / The current czech nationalism in extreme rightBauer, David January 2015 (has links)
Aim of the thesis is to describe and analyse the role of nationalism in contemporary Czech extreme right movements. Its author has two fundamental objectives. The first is to evaluate strength and relevance of contemporary Czech nationalism within extreme right movements. The second objective consists in the analysis of nationalism itself, which should reveal the true nature of these organizations and their ideological platform. This thesis presents an overview of Czech extreme right spectrum. It was essential to select movements that mutually differ and therefore represent various manifestations of Czech right extremism. All three platforms can be classified as extreme right movements strongly resonating with Czech nationalism. They see themselves as patriots who defend conservative values and national traditions. Revue of The National Idea represents an attempt to create a sophisticated, intellectual forum providing conditions for ultra-right views and ideas. D.O.S.T. movement acts as a conservative "people's initiative", standing against multiculturalism and the European Union. The National Party is then an example of extreme political grouping with traces of populism, xenophobia and pure racism. Content analysis of these three movements is the main topic of the thesis. Examining their goals,...

Mobilizační strategie nesystémové krajní pravice v Rusku / Mobilization strategies of the non-systemic right-wing movements in RussiaBeránková, Tereza January 2021 (has links)
The thesis explores the mobilization strategy of the non-systemic far right in Russia. The study focuses on two aspects of this phenomenon. First, it examines the mobilization strategy and second, it analyses its impact on the success of the far right's political demands. The thesis applies the theoretical concept of social movement and the classification of collective action by Sidney Tarrow. Mobilization is a complex issue that cannot be researched as an isolated event. For this reason, the thesis also focuses on the determinants that precede such mobilization and that, simultaneously, affect its form and strength. The thesis concludes that the most effective mobilization strategy is to concentrate on organizing disruptive and episodic actions in which the condition of the presence of an inter-ethnic conflict must be met. Among the typical features of such disruptive and episodic collective actions, the following can be listed: a requirement for displacement of the non-Russian population from the conflict area, the formation of local security and political strutures, and effective work with disinformation and media in general. Finally, the thesis determines that the mobilization strategy was more impactful on the regional level where the far right was more successful in pressing its demands. At...
