Ironie v TV talk show / Irony in TV talk show

Ježková, Klára January 2018 (has links)
This work deals with irony in popular television genre, entertaining talk show. The first partdefines the basic concepts which we work with (public communication, cooperative principle, politeness, irony). In the second part there is characterized the media dialogue, specifically talk show. The third part deals with particular public television's talk show - Všechnopárty. This thesis examines, on selected examples, how irony works in the show, how it manifests itself and how it is used by participants in talk show. The main finding is that irony in Všechnopárty is used as a communication game, mostly as a specific variant of irony called teasing (banter). It is a communication acting describable as pretended threatening of face of communication partner or of your own face, resp. communication which intentionally and transparently for the viewer violates Leech's courtesy maxima (most often tactfulness and modesty maxima).Teasing irony in Všechnopárty is used as a fun element increasing attractiveness of the show for spectators and participants of the talk show are usually knowingly involved in it. KEYWORDS communications, media dialogue, talk show, cooperative principle, politeness, irony, teasing

Italský a sicilský pijut v dobovém kontextu a jeho jedinečný přínos pozdější básnické tvorbě / Italian and Sicilian Piyyut in contemporary Contex and its unique Contribution to futher poetical Output

Ondrejičková, Sylva January 2011 (has links)
Hermeneutic rules (so-called middot), which developed during the process of the rabbinic literature formation, partially under sopherims' or Greek influence, provided with one of the main viewpoints of hypotext choice in poetry, ruled a combination and an arrangement of elements in poetry. These principles, differenciated during the 2nd century A.D. into two systems - r. Yishma'el's and r. Eli'eser b. Josi ha-gelili's lists (for halakhic and aggadic interpretation) underwent a process of contraction in piyyut. From the recent point of view is the rabbinic hypotext identification possible at most half, since partially poets advanced on the basis of the midrashic texts available, different from extant textual versions. On the basis of original textual variants connected with the identification of the hypotext, this thesis arrived at a comparative work on the development and the understanding of implicite and explicite application of hermeneutic rules. The synagogal poetry assumed a didactical function and historical remembrance function following pre-classical period. As a result of poetic activity the originated the didactical text, which instructed, assisted at the preservation of lessons and topoi taught in yeshibot (Ashkenaz), scholarly circles (Rome, Apulia, Calabria) and later on in synagogues.

Kombinování diskrétních pravděpodobnostních rozdělení pomocí křížové entropie pro distribuované rozhodování / Cross-entropy based combination of discrete probability distributions for distributed decision making

Sečkárová, Vladimíra January 2015 (has links)
Dissertation abstract Title: Cross-entropy based combination of discrete probability distributions for distributed de- cision making Author: Vladimíra Sečkárová Author's email: seckarov@karlin.mff.cuni.cz Department: Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague Supervisor: Ing. Miroslav Kárný, DrSc., The Institute of Information Theory and Automation of the Czech Academy of Sciences Supervisor's email: school@utia.cas.cz Abstract: In this work we propose a systematic way to combine discrete probability distributions based on decision making theory and theory of information, namely the cross-entropy (also known as the Kullback-Leibler (KL) divergence). The optimal combination is a probability mass function minimizing the conditional expected KL-divergence. The ex- pectation is taken with respect to a probability density function also minimizing the KL divergence under problem-reflecting constraints. Although the combination is derived for the case when sources provided probabilistic type of information on the common support, it can applied to other types of given information by proposed transformation and/or extension. The discussion regarding proposed combining and sequential processing of available data, duplicate data, influence...

Aspekty stanovení převodních cen v podmínkách ČR / Aspects of transfer pricing in the Czech Republic

ZÍTKOVÁ, Božena January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis was to outline the issue of transfer pricing, especially under the conditions of the Czech Republic and to elaborate the documentation for specific company carrying out relationships with related parties. The individual methods of assessment of these prices were introduced in the theoretical component. The possible obstacles connected to its usage were described and most important information needed for transfer pricing documentation were summarized. The practical component includes functional analysis of specific company. Furthermore, all the transactions from the year 2015 amongst related parties were identified and described in detail. In relation to the main production activity the method of net range was used for transfer price verification. The Albertina database was used for elaboration of comparative analysis. To verify the profit margin applied by the company for production, it was used the multi-criterion and gradual weight schedule with subsequent application of point method. This thesis revealed defects that have been presented to the representatives of the company's management. It was stated that it is necessary to perform the revision of profit margin because of profit misinterpretation and lower tax payment of corporate income tax. It was clearly demonstrated that the elaboration of transfer pricing documentation is not a useless administrative burden. On the contrary, it is an important base for mapping and analysing inter-company transactions. Correctly elaborated documentation can be used also a negotiation argument with related parties that are usually in a stronger negotiating position or in dealing with financial administration regarding tax inspection.

Diskurzivní teorie a princip kontradiktornosti v právu / Discourse theory and the contradictory principle in law

Stříbrná, Alžběta January 2016 (has links)
The subject of this diploma thesis is discourse theory and its reflection on the style of judicial decision-making and argumentation. Discourse theory is based on the fundamental assumption that an interaction of more people is needed to achieve right and just knowledge. This is so because an individual is not capable of surmounting her or his own subjective perception of reality. On the contrary, a dialogue enables the articulation of opposing points of view and thus makes it possible to arrive at a more objective and just knowledge. The discourse theory of law, developed by J. Habermas and primarily by R. Alexy, ranks among the theories of legal argumentation with the dialogical approach to the desicion- making as a basic feature. The judge is no longer perceived as an authority that dictates a binding solution of the case to the parties. He or she cooperates with the parties to find and co-create the law to be applied. Discourse theory also stresses the claim to the equal position of parties. According to the contradictory principle, all parties have the same possibility to defend their statements and points of view. The parties and the judge thus create a discourse community in which they argue about the disputed subject and its legal solution. The ideal of the legal discourse theory is to render...

Regularizace a výběr proměnných v regresních modelech / Regularization and variable selection in regression models

Lahodová, Kateřina January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on regularization and variable selection in regres- sion models. Basics of penalised likelihood, generalized linear models and their evaluation and comparison based on prediction quality and variable selection are described. Methods called LASSO and LARS for variable selection in normal linear regression are briefly introduced. The main topic of this thesis is method called Boosting. General Boosting algorithm is introduced including functional gradient descent, followed by selection of base procedure, especially the componentwise linear least squares method. Two specific application of general Boosting algorithm are introduced with derivation of some important characteristics. These methods are AdaBoost for data with conditional binomial distribution and L2Boosting for condi- tional normal distribution. As a final point a simulation study comparing LASSO, LARS and L2Boosting methods was conducted. It is shown that methods LASSO and LARS are more suitable for variable selection whereas L2Boosting is more fitting for new data prediction.

Ochrana dětí v mezinárodním uprchlickém právu / Compensation of victims in the context of peace operations of international organizations

Bártová, Tereza January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with the protection of children in international refugee law. The status of a person seeking international protection under international law is primarily regulated by the Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. However, this Convention does not expressly address the specific situation of the child asylum seeker. By adopting a binding Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), the broad catalogue of basic civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights of children has been confirmed. It includes the right of a child seeking international protection to obtain the necessary protection and humanitarian assistance when the child wants to exercise its rights under the CRC or other conventions of international law of human rights. CRC includes, inter alia, four fundamental principles, the elimination of discrimination, the right to life, survival and development, respect for the child's position and the principle of the best interests of the child. The goal of this thesis is to determine whether and how the position of the child seeking international protection under the international refugee law has been influenced by the CRC and by the principle of the best interests of the child. The thesis is divided into four chapters, the first two chapters deal with the historical...

Důvěra mezi státy a princip vzájemné důvěry v mezinárodním právu / Trust between states and the principle of mutual trust in international law

Šach, Matěj January 2017 (has links)
Trust between states and the principle of mutual trust in international law This thesis focuses on the role of trust in international law. The main objective is to assess the position and use of trust between states and in relevant areas and institutes of international law. Another key objective is to clarify the function of the principle of mutual trust. The thesis core is divided into three research areas. The first one aims to describe the use of principle of mutual trust and its application in international and European law. It addresses the question of who should carry the risk of trust. It concludes that the state which puts trust in another state should bear all the risks associated with it. The second area discusses confidence-building measures which are theoretically analyzed and further explored in the context of the current events of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian conflict that started in the year 2014. The purpose of this section is to ascertain how trust is created between states, whether confidence-building measures are effective and what they bring into international law. The aim of this chapter is to ascertain how trust is created between states, whether confidence-building measures are effective and what they bring into international law. The author believes that trust between...
