Psychosociální problémy u pacientů s chronickou hepatitidou C a toxikomanií v minulosti / Psychosocial Problems in Patients with Chronic Hepatitis C and Drug Addiction in their History

JAROŠOVÁ, Eva January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the psychosocial problems of patients treated for chronic hepatitis C. The aim of the thesis was to map the problems arising during this treatment and to divide them into biological, psychological, and social problems and problems leading to a change in the patient's quality of life. The disease is also assessed in relation to risky behaviour - a history of substance dependence. The work should also show how the individual components of the multidisciplinary team are involved in intervention during treatment. In the first part of the thesis, I describe the theoretical issues of hepatitis C as a consequence of intravenous drug dependence, and I deal with quality of life, the multidisciplinary team and psychosocial care with the help of professional literature. In the empirical part, I chose qualitative research through the interviewing method using the semi-structured interview technique. The research sample consisted of eight clients of the infectious disease ward treated for or shortly after chronic hepatitis C. The data analysis was evaluated by the data categorization method. The results showed a very demanding, mainly physically, course of treatment with a significant impact on the mental and social function of the patient. The reason why the clients had turned to addictive substances was varied, from a curiosity in youth, through addiction as a consequence of trauma from sexual abuse in childhood, to addiction as a consequence of leaving a children's home without the adequate social preparedness and assistance. The components of the multidisciplinary team that intervened the most were healthcare, psychiatry, psychology - psychotherapy, the District Social Security Administration, and the Labour Office. This work identifies the issues that are not widely spoken of. It has shown us that not only addiction to addictive substances is dangerous for the individuals, but that the health problems do not end even after the treatment of their addiction, and the clients have to undergo a rather demanding treatment in order to eliminate these problems. However, on a society-wide level, it is desirable that as many of these clients as possible be treated with a positive result, even if they are drawing large amounts from the general health insurance. The results could serve as materials for the prevention of socio-pathological phenomena, for educational activities in schools or for institutions in, for example, K-centres, which provide help to addictive substance users.

Aspekty etického jednání klientů Doléčovacího centra Prevent v kontextu budování jejich nové identity. / Ethical Behaviour Aspects of Clients of the Prevent After Care Centre in Connection with the Build-up of their New Identity

KOREŠ, Jiří January 2010 (has links)
The theoretical part of this diploma thesis deals with the changes of behaviour and attitude of clients who underwent drug addiction therapy. I have focused on the ethical aspects of these changes and their development within the build-up of the clients' new identity. I will analyse the environment and facilities in which the changes take place, approaches to therapy as well as addiction models, these being the decisive factors of change. I will also focus on the concept of identity build-up as presented in M. Brožová's analysis as a process of changes, which take place after therapy in communities and therapeutic facilities. In the conclusion, I will analyse the conception of ethics and the components of ethics as a basis to define signs of ethical behaviour in the topics of respondents. The practical part is a probe into the process of behaviour and attitude development of Prevent After Care clients. In the introduction, I will present the applied research methods, selection of fields, the research sample and operational procedures. Further, individual dialogues with respondents are included, including interpretation of the dialogues in relation to human practice and an interpretation of behaviour changes. In the dialogues, I will focus on the perception of changes by the clients themselves, their idea of freedom and their values.

Vliv operační léčby epilepsie na psychosociální stav pacientů s tímto onemocněním. / Effects of surgery treatment of epilepsy on psychosocial condition of the patients.

ŠIŠKOVÁ, Lenka January 2010 (has links)
The thesis "Effects of surgery treatment of epilepsy on psychosocial condition of the patients" deals with the disease which causes many social effects on the patients. The most frequent ones are limitations in the working life and mental problems. I am interested in the epilepsy issue and therefore I have selected this topic which continues the bachelor thesis written in 2008. The objective of my work was to determine effects of epileptosurgery on the work life and on the mental area. Two hypotheses were established which assumed that the surgical treatment improved the patient´s life both in the working and in the mental spheres. The hypotheses were tested by means of quantitative research; questionnaires were used for the collection of data and the respondents were adult patients, who underwent surgical treatment of epilepsy and have been in the care of the Center of Epilepsy Na Homolce in Prague, and patients in the care of neurology departments in České Budějovice and in Strakonice. The results have shown that the epileptosurgery failed to improve the lives of the patients in the working sphere and thus the first hypothesis was not confirmed. Many of the patients are still unemployed and they still find it difficult to find jobs. The offer of vacancies has not increased much after the surgery. Those who work often feel stress and anxiety as a result. Some patients even lost jobs after the surgery or their working positions do not correspond to the achieved qualification level, experience and potential. The improvement in the mental area has been confirmed and many of the patients no more suffer from mental problems they had before the surgery. In some of the respondents mental disorders diminished or disappeared entirely. They are more self-confident, more even-tempered and they need less professional help. In this area I see the effects of surgical treatment as very beneficial. The results of my thesis might be used in publications for the general public, as well as for professionals specializing in the field.

Bibliografický záznam TAUCHMANOVÁ, Barbora. Evropský systém obchodování s emisními povolenkami (EU ETS), jeho fungování a úspěšnost. Praha, 2017. 81 s. Diplomová práce (Mgr.) Univerzita Karlova, Fakulta sociálních věd, Institut mezinárodních studií. Katedra evropských studií. Vedoucí diplomové práce doc. Mgr. Tomáš Weiss, M.A., Ph.D. Abstract This thesis European Union Emission Trading System (EU ETS), its functioning and success analyzes EU's emission trading scheme that has been created in 2005. This system has gone through a considerable development but his most visible and very important parameter - price of one emission allowance - still points out the problems of the whole system through its value (or the lack of it). In this work, the ETS is understood as an institution and is looked at through the optics of combination of rational and historical institutionalism. The aim of the thesis was to answer two questions - why can be the emission trading system considered dysfunctional despite a series of reforms and, consequently, why this system stays preserved in its current form and settings. As the work explains, considerable role in the long-term price failure had been played by economic crisis. But its influence can be tied only to a certain time period, so the continuing problems have to be ascribed...
