The importance of welcoming everyone : How 4 librarians from 3 libraries in Stockholm looks upon integration.

Lindström, Emelie January 2012 (has links)
My purpose with this essay is to look at how librarians, who work with immigrants every day, look upon their own purpose to further integration. I also look how they work with program activities and how that may improve integration. In the survey 4 librarians from 3 different libraries, who work mainly with integration and immigrants as a user group, are interviewed. The results show that work with program activities are useful for integration because it offers a way to participate in dialog and interaction with other people. However, the librarians think that it is possible to make every activity in the library to further integration.
