Deformačně napěťová analýza cévních protéz / Stress-strain analysis of artificial vascular grafts

Chomič, Dimitrij January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with the computational solution of stress-strain states in the vicinity of the connection (anastomosis) between artery and vascular replacement. An „end to end“ anastomosis loaded by inner light increased constant systolic blood pressure is modeled in the thesis. The connection is modeled by different variants of the bonded contact and attachment of a surgical stitch. To solve the stress-strain state constitutive models were used in the finite element software package ANSYS 13.0. Material properties of arteries and vascular grafts were taken from measurements made at the Institute of solid mechanics, mechatronics and biomechanics.

Vliv montážní vůle u radiálního kuličkového ložiska na napjatost a deformaci / The assembly gap influence on the stress and strain at the radial ball bearing

Rašovská, Hana January 2013 (has links)
This master thesis deals with the influence of assembly clearance on strain and stress in the radial ball bearing. The theme of this thesis was commissioned by ZKL - Research and development, a. s. For six different assembly clearances and selected ball bearing was made force-loaded static analysis of global computational models. Subsequently was made a static analysis of local computational models loaded by strain according to the results of global models. The output of analysis of local models was sizes of stress, which led to the analysis of bearing with two other models of material. For the solution of the problem was used pre/post processor Patran and solver MSC.Marc.

Deformační a napěťová analýza zubu s aplikovanou fazetou / Stress-strain Analysis of Dental Veneers

Valenta, Jiří January 2014 (has links)
This thesis focuses on stress-strain analysis of the upper central incisor with applied veneer and its variations with proximal fillings and endodontic treatment. The basic materials and veneer types are introduced at the beginning. Next chapter describes the creation of geometric models of a healthy tooth, veneers and fillings. The veneer geometry model has been done in several variants, taking different thickness values, veneer ranges and used materials into account. A finite element mesh was applied to the models. The computation model was solved using the finite element method using the ANSYS 14.0 software in the Workbench graphics environment. The results of the analysis show that the composite material is more suitable for veneers placed partially in the dentin - either with proximal fillings or without them. The ceramic material is a better option for endodontic treatment. Veneers located in the enamel are not significantly affected by the choice of material and the ceramic material is more appropriate only when proximal fillings are applied.

Simulace elektrického pole v prostoru přípojnic vn rozvaděče / Simulation of electric field in the area of switchgear busbars

Müller, Michal January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this work is to simulate the electric field in the space of busbar HV switchgear. More precisely, the aim is to find a place with the most critical value of the electric field, the design of measures to reduce the size of the field at this point. The simulation was performed using the finite element method program. The simulation found the most critical area. Using the basic physical principles it has been proposed solution. This solution reduced twice the magnitude the electric field in this area.

Aplikace metody konečných prvků na reálné problémy v hemodynamice. / Application of finite element method to real problems in hemodynamics.

Švihlová, Helena January 2013 (has links)
The incompressible fluid flow around the geometries of cerebral artery aneurysms is studied in this thesis. The aneurysm is a local extension of a vessel. This disease is dangerous only in the case of rupture. Then the blood is released into the brain. The need of accurate computation of the velocity and pressure fields in this geometries is motivated exactly by the question which aneurysm has tendency to rupture. The finite element method (FEM) is used for the computation of the flow. A good domain discretization is one of the main step in FEM. Modern computed tomography is able to produce series of the two- dimensional images and it is necessary to create an appropriate three-dimensional model of the tissue. This thesis includes the description of the mesh generation and the ways to smooth and improve the meshes. In the theoretical part the equations of fluid flow are formulated. A suitability of a choice of boundary conditions is discussed. Weak formulation for the equations and its discretization are presented. In the practical part velocity and pressure fields are computed by the various finite elements. Wall shear stress which plays an important role in the evolution of an aneurysm is also computed on the introduced meshes. Comparison of mesh smoothing filters, used finite elements and used...

Numerické modelování kmitání hlasivek / Numerical modelling of vocal folds

Michálek, Jakub January 2016 (has links)
Title: Numerical modelling of vocal folds Author: Mgr. Bc. Jakub Michálek Department: Geophysics Department Supervisor: RNDr. Jakub Velímský, Ph. D., Geophysics Department Abstract: I created a 2D model of vocal fold oscillations driven by interaction with fluid flow (FSI model). I used the theory of finite strains of the structure. The flow was modelled as a viscous incompressible fluid. The numerical problem was solved by the finite element method (FEM) with the arbitrary Lagrangian- Eulerian (ALE) method. The model shows the regime before phonation without the contact of the vocal folds and the states that directly lead to the contact of the vocal folds. I compared the time dependence of the quantities measured at sensors attached to the folds. I measured the frequency characteristics and compared the results with the modal analysis. Consequently, I calculated a parametric study of the dependence of the oscillations on the inlet air velocity, the original distance of the vocal folds and the elasticity of the vocal folds. The parametric study confirms that a sufficient increase of the inlet air velocity and a sufficient constriction of the glottis lead to the phonation onset. The parametric study also shows that changing elastic parameters has a similar effect on the spectrum for both the FSI model and the modal...
