The thesis deals with the leisure time of children in the period of adolescence, which are placed in children's homes, with analysis of assumptions and possibilities of actual implementation of their free time. The theoretical part presents the definition of leisure, its functions and educational appreciation. Characterized children's homes, leisure activities for children growing up in children's homes, educational influence in these institutions and individuals in the period of adolescence. The research section contains a more detailed presentation of respondents and two selected facilities: a children's home in South Moravia and a children's home in the Vysocina region. It describes and compares the leisure activities of children during adolescence, which are placed here and resolving the satisfaction of responding children of spending their free time.

The objective of this thesis are the findings of the older school-age pupils´ relationships to the sacral architecture. The theoretical part contains the literary comparison of the available sources related to the gothic and baroque architecture. I dedicate to the psychological description of the pubescent and characterization of the emotional and social aspects, too. I elaborated the quantitative research which was engaged in pupils´ knowledge and understanding of the baroque and gothic architecture and monuments in their area in the practical part. The research was realized by means of the questionnaire inquiry among pupils of 6th and 9th grades of primary schools.

Impact Of Irrigation, Leaf Pubescence, and Week of Flowering on the Effect of Tarnished Plant Bug on Cotton Yields

The tarnished plant bug, Lygus lineolaris (Palisot de Beauvois), is the most important insect pest of cotton, Gossypium hirsutum (L.), in Mississippi. This research project was initiated to gain a better understanding of selected crop production factors that can improve tarnished plant bug integrated pest management. Results suggest that irrigation strategies and varietal pubescence can significantly influence tarnished plant bug management in cotton. Most notably, delaying irrigation for as long as possible and planting hairy varieties can minimize the impact of tarnished plant bug on cotton yields and reduce the number of insecticides needed to manage this pest. Additionally, these results show that tarnished plant bug management is most critical during the first four weeks of flowering. Results from these experiments will be used to improve the current integrated pest management program for tarnished plant bug in cotton and make cotton production more sustainable for Mississippi producers.
