Marinsek, Gabriela Pustiglione. January 2018 (has links)
The monitoring of these areas is of great value to detect the main impacts and, thus, to create prevention and mitigation measures. The use of biomarkers is widely used in studies that evaluate environmental quality since this tool provides the analysis of organisms' biological responses to exposure to environmental contamination. In this way, this work aimed to evaluate the environmental quality of two estuaries located at the coast of the state of São Paulo that differ in terms of population density and environmental preservation policies. In order to do so, specimens of Sphoeroides testudineus were collected in three regions: AR- Rio Una Estuary (Reference Area - Juréia Itatins Mosaic), A1 - Cananéia Estuary (Lagunar Estuary Complex of Cananéia Iguape) and A2 - Santos Estuary (Estuarine Complex of Santos - São Vicente). The animals were analyzed for biomarkers of different organs (liver, gills, blood, muscle, and intestine) and levels of biological organization in order to provide an integrated response to the health of the organism. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the environmental quality of the estuaries using biomarkers widely used in ecotoxicological studies (liver, gills, muscle, and blood), as well as to evaluate the response... PUFFER-JACKET-SOFT-SQUAD, PURE SCULPTURE!

Ewertson, Sara-Lovise January 2019 (has links)
This degree project starts in the interest for fashion spaces. With this project I want to challenge the way we can experience fashion. I want to push forward the concepts; showroom/ collection.  The body is always important and the starting point in my projects. The body is essential both in the sketching and in the final experience. More specifically, In this degree project I am investigating how body, furniture and puffer jacket can relate to each other. How a puffer jacket collection can be perceived spatially and what will it be then.

Flowshop-Probleme mit Puffern: Analyse und Entwurf eines Ameisenalgorithmus

Winkel, Martin 21 November 2017 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to design and evaluate an ant algorithm for a certain class of (hybrid) flowshop problems. These problems consist of a two-staged production process with two identical machines on the second station and buffers in between the stages. For a given number of jobs, each consisting of a processing time and a deadline, the goal is to create a feasible partition and permutation of these jobs which minimizes the total tardiness. Furthermore, a theoretical investigation on the placement and size of the buffers and its impact on the resulting solution space was done. In order to further improve the swarm intelligence it was combined with a set of different heuristics and pheromone evaluation rules. The resulting variations of the algorithm were later tested and evaluated on a set of benchmark instances. Subsequently, the obtained theoretical insights on the flowshop problems were analyzed in a practical matter and proved to be valuable. Finally, the quality of the solutions found by the designed ant algorithm was analyzed on smaller pro- blem instances. It became apparent that at least for such smaller problems the algorithm creates very good solutions which only differ little from the optimum.
