  • The Global ETD Search service is a free service for researchers to find electronic theses and dissertations. This service is provided by the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations.
Our metadata is collected from universities around the world. If you manage a university/consortium/country archive and want to be added, details can be found on the NDLTD website.

Synthetic Studies Toward Kainic acid and Lycorane

Liu, Yen-ting 04 July 2007 (has links)
We have developed an one-pot reaction procedure to polysubstituted pyroglutamates with three contiguous chiral centers. The results were applied to the synthetic studies toward kainic acid and lycorane.

Synthesis of Trachelanthamidine, Supinidine and the core of stenine

Wu, Dong-Ciao 17 July 2006 (has links)
Base-induced coupling-cyclization stepwise [3+2] annulation of £\-sulfonylacetamide with (Z)-2-bromoacrylate yielded the polysubsti- tuted pyroglutamate with three contiguous chiral centers with trans- trans orientation in a one-pot synthesis. The pyrrolizidine skeleton and the core of stenine were obtained via the ring-closing metathesis (RCM) method. This facile strategy was used to synthesize (¡Ó)-trachelantha- midine, (¡Ó)-supinidine and the core of stenine.

Synthetic Studies of Polysubstituted Pyroglutamates and Its Applications in Natural Products Synthesis

Sun, Pei-Pei 03 July 2003 (has links)
We have explored a formal [3+2] strategy that is synthetically useful for constructing polysubstituted pyroglutamates with three contiguous chiral centers in one step. Base-induced coupling/cyclization reactions of a-sulfonylacetamide with various ethyl (Z)-2-bromo-2-propenoates have been carried out. This reaction with high diastereoselectivity has been applied to the synthesis of Rolipram, Chlorpheg, Baclofen, Pseudoheliotridane and Kainic acid.

1. Synthetic Study of Pyrrolizidine Skeleton 2. Synthetic Study Toward Tylophorine and Cryptopleurine 3. Synthetic Study of Fused Bicyclic Glutarimides

Hsu, Ru-Ting 18 January 2005 (has links)
Reaction of 3-sulfonyl acetamides with various substituted methyl acrylate derivatives furnished pyroglutamate and glutarimidess via [3+2] and [3+3] cycloaddition respectively. The results were applied to the synthesis of pyrrolizidine skeleton, tylophorine, cryptopleurine and fused bicyclic glutarimides.
