Program EATS jako alternativa ve výuce anglického jazyka na 1. stupni ZŠ / Program EATS as an alternative in teaching English language at primary school

Chytilová, Anna January 2013 (has links)
This thesis is about an inovative program in teaching English language called EATS. The goal was to find out the effectivness of this program on the basis of repeated observations, didactic testing and interview. In the theoretical part the position of English language in the curricular documents is discussed. Then there is the description of the communicative approach to the language learning which is very useful in nowadays globalised society. The important role of the native speaker is emphasized because he brings the authentic element into the education process and gives pupils good language model. Also the early education in foreign languages is part of this work. Integrated language learning is described on the ilustration of CLIL and its alternative which could be called "language preparation". The aim was to show an example of a good practice which could inspire someone.

Vliv vybraných kardiovaskulárních léčiv nalézaných ve vodním prostředí na ryby

STEINBACH, Christoph Antonius January 2015 (has links)
Cardiovascular pharmaceuticals are among the most prescribed drugs. As a result of the high consumption, these pharmaceuticals have been frequently detected in waste and surface waters. Verapamil, diltiazem and atenolol are very important representatives of cardiovascular pharmaceuticals; therefore, the present research focused on their acute and sub-chronic effects, bioconcentration, half-life time and metabolism in fish. Moreover, unified protocol for the quantitative assessment of histopathological alterations on the heart ventricle and coronary blood vessels employing heart index calculation was developed with the aim to better assess histopathological changes in fish heart which is one of the targets of cardiovascular pharmaceuticals and other chemicals. The effects caused by high concentrations of the studied substances, verapamil, diltiazem and atenolol, in fish can be considered similar to the therapeutic effects and side effects that are found in humans. The acute exposure to verapamil at the human therapeutic plasma level reduced the heart rate in common carp embryos and larvae. In addition, the acute and chronic exposure to this substance caused peripheral edema and gastrointestinal haemorrhage in carp. Similarly, the histological changes in heart and the blood vessels of the liver in diltiazem exposed rainbow trout suggested vasodilatation similar to the pharmacological effect of diltiazem in the human body. In rainbow trout sub-chronically exposed to atenolol at a human therapeutic blood plasma concentration, histopathological changes in the cardiovascular system were found. The bioconcentration of verapamil, diltiazem and atenolol in fish can be classified as low. Bioconcentration factor (BCF) of verapamil in whole body homogenates of common carp ranged between 6.6 and 16.6. The BCF of diltiazem was also relatively low (0.5-194) in analysed tissues of trout, following the order kidney liver muscle blood plasma. BCF of atenolol in rainbow trout tissues was the lowest among the tested substances (BCF = 0.002-0.27), following the order of liver > kidney > muscle. In the blood plasma, the concentration of atenolol was below the limit of quantification. Verapamil showed a longer half-life time (10.6 days) in fish compared to the human body, indicating the slow rate of biotransformation and/or elimination of verapamil in fish. Estimated half-life times of diltiazem in liver (1.5 h) and kidney (6.2 h) were in the same order of magnitudes as those determined for the human blood plasma. The half-life time of atenolol in trout was not studied, because of its very low bioconcentration. In diltiazem exposed rainbow trout, 8 groups of metabolites of diltiazem with 17 different isoforms were identified using liquid chromatography/high resolution mass spectrometry method. Diltiazem was found to undergo a biotransformation involving desmethylation, desacethylation and hydroxylation in fish. These results showed that diltiazem was metabolised in fish in a similar way like in the human body by desmethylation and desacethylation. On the other hand, hydroxylation, which was involved to a minor extent, seemed to be species specific. Verapamil had no effect on early life stages of common carp at the environmentally relevant concentration after one month lasting exposure. On the other hand, atenolol and diltiazem in environmentally realistic concentrations caused after 42-day exposure some physiological changes in rainbow trout. Namely, atenolol affected haematological and biochemical parameters of the blood in exposed rainbow trout and diltiazem caused changes in the activity of antioxidant enzymes in trout liver and gills. These data indicated that atenolol and diltiazem, when present in the aquatic environment, could be a source of sub-lethal detrimental effects in fish.

Kvalita života dětí s onemocněním spinální svalové atrofie / The quality of life of children suffering with spinal muscular atrophy

KOČOVÁ, Helena January 2014 (has links)
The scope of this dissertation focuses on issues related to the quality of life of children suffering with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) and their carers and the associated social impact on families affected by this progressive and incurable disease. It describes ethical aspects of help to families with SMA and serious decisions in relation to the need to connect to artificial ventilation. Spinal Muscular Atrophy - SMA is a motoneuron disease i.e. disease of neurons, which are responsible for conscious movements of muscles e.g. running, head movement and swallowing. The prevalence is approximately 1 newborn for 6000 live births and approximately 1 person of 40 people is the carrier of the disease. SMA affects all the bone muscles i.e. proximal muscles are often affected the most. Everyone affected is in some point in life, depending on stage and type, reliant on mechanical or electrical wheelchair, in many cases also on artificial ventilation and permanent 24hr care. Families affected by this illness accept the fact of this progressive and incurable illness differently, this dissertation reflects upon such different perceptions on quality of life of the affected children, the carers. It forms a contribution in building a foundation for organising multi-discipline teams of experts with sole purpose of therapeutical interventions, to support the child and his/hers family. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines palliative care as "improving quality of life of patients facing life-threatening illnesses, and their families, through the prevention and relief of suffering by early identification and treatment of pain and other problems, whether physical, psychological, social or spiritual." Palliative care prepares families for these situations and should be provided along with whatever treatment options families choose. This dissertation is a comprehensive information base to support children affected by SMA and their families in early care in Czech Republic and in the process of inclusive educational integration into mainstream society.

Reakce rodičů na narození dítěte s postižením / Parents reaction to the birth of a child with disability

Hájková, Kristina January 2017 (has links)
Master thesis titled Parents' reaction to a birth of a child with a disability deals with the process of coping with a birth of a disabled child and strategies that can help the family. In the first chapter, the function of a family and roles of parents in comparison with families with disabled children were defined. Reactions of parents when a disabled child is born in comparison with reactions of other social groups is discussed in second chapter. Third chapter focuses on factors which can help the parents to cope with the aforementioned situation. The last fourth chapter then depicts five families that shared their individual stories. The thesis also describes specific phases of dealing with difficult life situations including children born with disabilities. The thesis aims to analyse how parents reacted to birth of disabled child and which factors helped them to accept this reality. A research method in the form of an interview has been used. A confirmation of the hypothesis and thus achieving the thesis goal has been achieved be means of evaluation of answers from five respondents. The results have shown that such a childbirth is an unexpected situation for the parents, followed by a shock. The parents also have negative experience with doctors when delivering the diagnosis. Specific...

Případová studie: mateřská škola a dětská kultura / Case Study: Day-Care Center and Childern Culture

Saladygová, Magda January 2010 (has links)
This case study based on a fieldwork carried out in a Day-Care Center tries to describe the process of the transition from mothering to wider society which is represented by a classroom of preschool children. Within this process we can note and describe specific ways of parent's, teacher's and especially children's actions. These activities are repeatedly produced. The point of departure is the Hirschfeld's article "Why Don't Anthropologists like Children?" (Hirschfeld, 2002) and his affirmation that children are active participants within process of accepting of social regulations and values and that they create their own culture, "children culture". This study ilustrates that the process of the transition from mothering to wider society is in the first place the process of the separation of child and mother. Within this process we note the function of the "object transitional" that compensate the absence of mother. And we can also observe how the group of pupils is formed and how their group identity is created. This group is situated in a specific place and time. And we observe that all individual actions concerning child are "embodied"- it's because we talk about an "experience that involve the whole person, including the body" (Abu-Lughold, Lutz, 1990 cit. in Ben-Ari, 1998: 138).

Potřeby rodičů dětí s kombinovaným postižením v raném věku pro stanovení individualizované rané intervence / Needs of parents of children with multiple disabilities at an early age for individualized early intervention

Vencová, Barbora January 2019 (has links)
Introduction: The arrival of a child with multiple disabilities (MD) in a family is a difficult situation. Increased stress of parents of (MD) is often related to the non-fulfillment of the needs, leads to frustration and deprivation that can result in serious health problems. The aim is the subjectively defined and described life with a child (MD), focusing on the needs of these parents resulting from the daily care of the child. Aim: Identify, describe and analyze the needs of parents of children with MD at an early age. Methods: Qualitative approach using the biographical narrative method. The research design is a case study. Methodological triangulation: three methods of collecting data: biographical curve, in-depth interview, Cantril's ladder. Results: all cases were compared with each other. 12 parents' needs were identified. The Cantril's ladder method found significantly unmet needs: Need for rest and Need for medical care. Conclusion: The main contribution of the work is to understand the individuality and needs of parents of children with multiple disabilities, as a possibility to provide purposefully individualized early intervention, to streamline the process of planning, implementation and evaluation of provided care and thus contribute to the quality of life of the whole family.

Podpora rané péče při zařazení dítěte se zrakovým postižením do mateřské školy / Promoting of early intervention for the inclusion of a visually impaired child to kindergarten

Kůsová, Barbora January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on the support of early intervention in the inclusion of a visually impaired child into kindergarten. The work describes the development of a child with visual impairment at an early age. It also focuses on early care providing support to families with children with visual or combined disabilities, pre-school education and the support from a special education center. The aim of the work was to find out what is important for the parents of a visually impaired child when choosing a kindergarten, whether the inclusion is in accordance with the legislation and whether a multidisciplinary team participates in the support. As part of the research survey, qualitative research, aimed at monitoring family support for the inclusion of a visually impaired child in kindergarten by early care, was carried out. The results show that for families when choosing a kindergarten, it is most important to obtain information about the possibilities of including a child. Early intervention provides families with important information not only about the possibilities of inclusion, but also about the use of counseling services of a special pedagogical center. The choice of kindergarten is up to the parents, who take into account different aspects when choosing. An important indicator is the...
