Odposlech a záznam telekomunikačního provozu / Wiretapping and recording of telecommunication traffic

Born, Natalie January 2020 (has links)
Wiretapping and recording of telecommunication traffic Abstract The thesis deals with the institute of wiretapping and recording of telecommunication traffic, which deserves closer attention due to the constant development of technologies. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the main issues of the regulation not only according to the pivotal criminal procedure norm, but also according to other acts, especially in the context of constitutional limits. The thesis is divided into five chapters. In the initial chapter, the author briefly deals with wiretapping of telecommunications traffic from a technological perspective followed by an analysis of the development of wiretapping and recording of telecommunications traffic, in terms of foreign legislation and then Czech legal system. It takes into account not only the historical development of §88 and §88a of the Criminal Procedure Code but also the parallel regulation of wiretapping in the Police Act of 1991. In the second chapter, the author outlines the constitutional limits not only in the terms of the Charter but also according to the Convention and the related case law of the European Court of Human Rights. In the crucial third chapter, the author examines the regulation of wiretapping and recording of telecommunications traffic according to applicable law...

Bioakustický obraz netopýřího společenstva: sezonní dynamika netopýrů v Krugerově NP, JAR. / Bioacoustic pattern of a bat community: seasonal dynamics of bat communities in the Kruger NP, SAR.

Staňková, Markéta January 2021 (has links)
Analyzes of bat echolocation calls enable to investigate diverse patterns of bat communities without the need for contact manipulation with individuals. The continuous all-night acoustic recordings provide standardised data open to quantitative comparisons and testing effects of diverse contextual factors upon bat community structure. The multidisciplinary project MOSAIK (Monitoring Savanna Biodiversity in Kruger NP) mapping patterns of variation in savanna communities under different spatial and temporal influences includes bats as one of the model groups. At standardized monitoring points of the project (covering 20 different areas, each containing triplet points differing in access to the water surface: permanent, seasonal and the crests without a water source), all-night acoustic recordings of bats were undertaken over two seasons (using Song Meter recorders SM4BAT). All records were analyzed with aid of Kaleidoscope Pro software and cluster identification technique (with an input database developed by Weier et al. 2018 and Taylor et al. 2020) controlled by manual checking. Multiple comparisons of diverse coenologic variables of the particular samples were performed together with testing effects of associated contextual variables (geographic setting and climatic currents, seasons, vegetation,...

Systém vzdáleného monitorování teploty / Remote temperature monitoring system

Gál, Radek January 2018 (has links)
This project describes the design of a system for remote temperature monitoring of stored a more commodities quantity for the horse-breeding. The main task of this system is the early alert before the fire developed to the spontaneous combustion and continuous monitoring of the quality and safety this commodities. The main module communicates with several autonomous temperature sensors, which are located in multiplie locations. The measured values can be stored on an internal memory, displayed on the display and transmitted with the Ethernet network to the client computer, where it is possible this temperatures to view with in the user program and graphs.

Dynamic viscoelastic properties of advanced magnetic tapes

Berry, Robert D. 01 January 2012 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the viscoelastic properties of current large digital storage magnetic tape materials, using a custom ultra-low frequency dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA). Through the correlated effects of frequency and temperature, the long term mechanical properties of the magnetic tape can be simulated and used for predictive analysis of long term storage quality and stability of each individual tape given applicable storage conditions. Two magnetic tapes of primary interest reviewed in this paper are both current leading high capacity tapes, one having a poly(ethylene naphthalate) or PEN substrate and the other an aromatic polyamide or ARAMID substrate. The phase angle between the two signals and the peak strain based elastic modulus (E) were then used to determine the storage modulus (E'), loss modulus (E"), and the loss tangent (tan 8). These viscoelastic characteristics of the material were determined for each individual experimental sample. The combined data was then used to create comparative plots of each sample type allowing for a more conclusive look at the magnetic tape properties under the given conditions. It is found that viscoelastic deformation, or energy loss in the material, increasingly occurs at low frequencies. These experiments also verify that viscoelastic loss also occurs due to molecular orientation and can have a large impact on results. A final comparison is also made between the two leading tape materials commonly used in industry currently by taking a direct look at relative loss in conjunction with the materials overall complex elastic modulus. This allows a more definitive strength comparison of the defined materials · under given conditions.

A Recording and Performance Guide Featuring Three Commissioned Compositions for Clarinet by Mexican Composers

January 2020 (has links)
abstract: In an effort to provide greater representation to Latin American musicians, this recording and performance guide provides commentary on three works for clarinet by composers of Mexican ethnicity, commissioned and recorded by the author. The works presented are scored for solo clarinet, clarinet & piano, and clarinet, cello, & piano. Each piece seeks to communicate and explore current sociopolitical issues related to Mexico, and, like this project as a whole, derive their inspiration from La Onda, a multidisciplinary artistic movement in Mexico, translating as the “wave,” “sound wave,” or “the force” that emerged as part of the 1960s and 1970s North American counterculture. La Onda music emerged as a reflection and consequence of marginalized experiences living in the United States, and is representative of ways the broader public and Latinos have claimed music as their own. As music has historically provided an arena for exploring gender, class, sexuality, and race politics for minority communities, specifically Mexicans in the United States and abroad, music continues to afford a mechanism for communicating the counterfactual in the present day. In this context, this guide synthesizes a broader collaboration with composers to create new, narrative-based repertoire that provides accessibility, greater awareness, and lasting representation to a demographic that has historically been underserved within the classical canon. / Dissertation/Thesis / 01. Effective and Accelerated Informative Frame Filtering in Colonoscopy Videos Using Graphic Processing Units

Karri, Venkata Praveen 08 1900 (has links)
Colonoscopy is an endoscopic technique that allows a physician to inspect the mucosa of the human colon. Previous methods and software solutions to detect informative frames in a colonoscopy video (a process called informative frame filtering or IFF) have been hugely ineffective in (1) covering the proper definition of an informative frame in the broadest sense and (2) striking an optimal balance between accuracy and speed of classification in both real-time and non real-time medical procedures. In my thesis, I propose a more effective method and faster software solutions for IFF which is more effective due to the introduction of a heuristic algorithm (derived from experimental analysis of typical colon features) for classification. It contributed to a 5-10% boost in various performance metrics for IFF. The software modules are faster due to the incorporation of sophisticated parallel-processing oriented coding techniques on modern microprocessors. Two IFF modules were created, one for post-procedure and the other for real-time. Code optimizations through NVIDIA CUDA for GPU processing and/or CPU multi-threading concepts embedded in two significant microprocessor design philosophies (multi-core design and many-core design) resulted a 5-fold acceleration for the post-procedure module and a 40-fold acceleration for the real-time module. Some innovative software modules, which are still in testing phase, have been recently created to exploit the power of multiple GPUs together.
