As pressões competitivas mundiais em constante crescimento e os avanços tecnológicos têm demandado das empresas um contínuo aperfeiçoamento de seus processos e busca de custos cada vez mais baixos. Nesse contexto, o orçamento tem sido uma das ferramentas mais utilizadas pelas empresas no planejamento e controle de gastos, razão pela qual deve traduzir sua estratégia em termos operacionais e possibilitar efetivamente o controle, além de alavancar a inovação e a melhoria contínua. Nesse sentido, o Orçamento Matricial mostra-se como uma solução moderna e adaptada a este novo ambiente competitivo. O presente trabalho objetiva a elaboração de uma sistemática de apoio à implementação do Orçamento Matricial, analisando sua implantação em uma indústria de alimentos. Para isso, foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica sobre orçamento e proposta uma estrutura de apoio para a implementação do Orçamento Matricial, detalhando suas etapas e fases. Os principais resultados obtidos são apresentados, discutindo-se as oportunidades de melhorias identificadas, bem como as principais vantagens e desvantagens associadas à sua utilização como ferramenta de gestão e de racionalização de despesas. / The competitive pressures in global growth and constant technological advances have brought a continuous improvement of business processes and of their quest for ever lower costs. In this context, the budget has been one of the most used by business planning and control of expenses, why should translate their strategy into operational terms and to effectively control, and leverage innovation and continuous improvement. Accordingly, the Budget Matrix shows itself as a modern and appropriate solution to this new competitive environment. This work aims the development of a system to support the implementation of the Budget Matrix, examining their implementation in an industry of food. For this, we performed a bibliographic review of proposed budget and a support structure for the implementation of the Budget Matrix, detailing its steps and stages. The main results are presented, discussing the opportunities for improvement are identified and the main advantages and disadvantages associated with its use as a tool of management and rationalization of expenditure.

[pt] Na indústria de produtos de limpeza, o serviço ao cliente pode ser um importante fator competitivo. O objetivo central deste trabalho é, através de um estudo de caso, mostrar como a consolidação de cargas pode proporcionar, com pouco investimento, ganhos consideráveis na distribuição física, reduzindo o custo de frete e, simultaneamente, elevando o nível de serviço ao cliente. O caso apresentado contrasta com a maioria dos encontrados na literatura, que indicam a necessidade de investimentos substanciais e um claro antagonismo entre os objetivos de redução de custos e de melhoria do nível de serviço. O estudo de caso é apresentado de forma didática e a análise feita dentro do contexto industrial, de modo a servir a propósitos educacionais. Este trabalho também visa expor a metodologia utilizada no desenvolvimento do projeto analisado que pode ser adequada para outras empresas. / [en] In the cleaning products industry, the service to customers may be an important competitive factor. The main objective of this study is to show, by means of a case study, how a load consolidation program demanding little investment may yield considerable benefits to the physical distribution by reducing freight cost and, at the same time, increasing the customer service level. This case study contrasts with most of the studies found in literature that indicate substantial investment requirements and a clear opposition between the goals related to cost saving and customer service level increase. The case study is presented didactically and its analysis conducted within the industrial context in order to serve educational purposes. This study also intends to expose the methodology used for developing the load consolidation project analyzed that may be applicable to other companies.

The present study has as objective, to study the implantation of the methodology of matricial budget for reduction of the costs of outsourcing in a multinational company of the glass sector, as alternative of the traditional budget based in historical analyses and trends. The modality of used research was to the research-action, justified for the participation accomplishes of the author during all process of implantation. To subsidize this study, research in books, monographs, articles, sites of the Internet and some documents had been made and management reports of the studied company. The methodology applied in the matricial budget is developed through the PDCA cycle, and the results also presented had followed the cited flow, amongst some projects developed in the company, from the matricial budget, for otimization of the fixed expenses, in this study the target was the contract analysis of outsourcing, for being always a current subject in the enterprise way. Through the study it was verified among others characteristic, reduction accomplishes of the expenses with outsourcing, a deep analysis in the origin and necessities of the expenses and a significant increase in synergy between the areas and different levels hierarchic. It is concluded viability of the use of the methodology of matricial budget for reduction of the fixed costs of manufacture, as alternative to the others budget techniques. The outsourcing of the company also contributed significantly for otimization of the costs and became a reference of practical inside of the group, which the company is inserted. / A presente dissertação tem como objetivo aplicar a metodologia de orçamento matricial para redução dos custos de terceirização em uma empresa multinacional do setor vidreiro, como alternativa do orçamento tradicional baseado em análises históricas e tendências. A modalidade de pesquisa utilizada foi a pesquisa-ação, justificada pela participação efetiva do autor durante todo processo em estudo. Para subsidiar essa dissertação foram feitas pesquisas em livros, dissertações, teses, monografias, artigos, sites da internet, vários documentos e relatórios gerenciais da empresa estudada. A metodologia aplicada no orçamento matricial é desenvolvida através do ciclo de PDCA e os resultados apresentados também seguiram o referido fluxo, dentre vários projetos desenvolvidos na empresa, à partir do orçamento matricial para otimização dos gastos fixos. Focou-se nesta dissertação a análise de contratos de terceiros por ser sempre um assunto atual no meio empresarial. Através do estudo, verificou-se entre outras características redução efetiva dos gastos com terceirização, uma profunda análise na origem e necessidades dos gastos e um aumento significativo na sinergia entre as áreas e diferentes níveis hierárquicos. Conclui-se pela viabilidade da utilização da metodologia de orçamento matricial para redução dos custos fixos de fabricação como alternativa à outras técnicas de orçamento, obtendo-se uma economia de 9,72% em 2008. A desterceirização da empresa também contribuiu significativamente para otimização dos custos com aproximadamente R$ 1.300.000,00/ano e tornou-se uma referência de boas práticas dentro do grupo na qual a empresa está inserida.

A very used manufacturing process, mainly because it is one of the few that allow obtaining small diameter internal thread, is the thread tapping with thread cutting taps. As such, thread tapping is one of the last process to be carried out and any failure can influence in production costs. One way to reduce costs is by increasing the useful life of the thread tap through the use of surface treatments, coatings or cutting fluids. Therefore, the main objective of this work is to evaluate the performance of the application of a dry impregnated lubrication on the surface of thread taps, with a focus on conventional tapping process improvement concerning tool useful life and, consequently, costs reduction. For this purpose, tests in the tapping process were performed using high speed steel taps in two conditions, i.e., treated or not with a dry impregnated lubrication. The results obtained allow to conclude that the procedure employed was appropriate, because it increased the tool useful life, reduced the tool wear, and maintained the thread quality, promoting a reduction in manufacturing costs. / É importante que os processos de usinagem sejam continuamente melhorados, de forma a oferecer vantagens competitivas e condições econômicas para as indústrias manufatureiras. Um processo de fabricação muito empregado, principalmente por ser um dos poucos a permitir a obtenção de roscas internas de pequeno diâmetro, é o processo de rosqueamento interno com machos. Tal processo, normalmente é um dos últimos a ser realizado e qualquer falha pode influenciar os custos de produção. Uma forma de minimizar os custos no processo de rosqueamento interno é a utilização de abordagens que visam otimizar a vida útil do macho de roscar por meio do uso de tratamentos superficiais, revestimentos ou fluidos de corte. Dessa forma, este trabalho tem como objetivo principal avaliar o desempenho da aplicação de um condicionador de metais na superfície de machos, com foco na melhoria do referido processo em relação à vida útil da ferramenta e, consequentemente, na redução de custos. Para tanto, ensaios foram realizados utilizando-se de machos de aço rápido em duas condições: tratados ou não com condicionador metálico. Os dados coletados foram analisados com apoio de recursos estatísticos para se verificar o nível de confiança das amostras. Os resultados obtidos permitem concluir que o procedimento utilizado foi adequado, pois aumentou a vida útil do macho, reduziu o nível de desgaste das ferramentas, mantendo-se a qualidade das roscas e, consequentemente, promoveu uma redução nos custos de fabricação.

The aim of the thesis is to assess the effectiveness of innovation and evaluate its economic impact on the company. Theoretical part contains topics regarding innovations and also potential ways of assessing effectiveness and impact of innovation. Practical part presents fundamental information about the company and its current economic situation. Once all basic information is presented, innovation is described in detail followed up by evaluation of its effectiveness and impact on the company.

This diploma thesis is focused on the implementation of the technology VoIP in the remote branch offices of a big company. There are used the current WAN lines, which have been so far used only for transfer of data. Implementation of IP telephony is extending the utilization of those lines and at the same time the costs for running of the telephone services are reduced. There are described the models for proposal and also the proposal for solution of IP telephony for a specific company.

The work was developed in a large consumer UFPB CAMPUS - I, through the analysis of information regarding its energy efficiency, and system management using electric power management equipment and techniques to better control the quality and efficiency desired. The results obtained with the management show details of the reduction in the monthly bill of the unit analyzed with the elimination of fines caused by low power factor, improvements in hiring demands and regarding the continuity of energy supply. Measures and solutions adopted in this study can be applied to other consumers with all the conditions to reach the expected results, respecting their particularities and their productive activities / Neste trabalho é apresentado o gerenciamento do sistema de energia de um grande consumidor, com o objetivo de minimizar custos e desperdícios de energia elétrica, bem como propiciar o controle do comportamento do seu sistema de distribuição de energia elétrica, fazendo com que a unidade consumidora venha a ter condições de monitorar a energia recebida através da concessionária e entregue a seus usuários buscando atingir bons níveis na qualidade e eficiência energética. O trabalho é desenvolvido em um grande consumidor, UFPB-CAMPUS I, através da análise das informações quanto a sua eficiência energética, do gerenciamento do sistema utilizando equipamentos gerenciadores de energia elétrica e de técnicas para maior controle da qualidade e eficiência desejadas. Os resultados obtidos com o gerenciamento mostram detalhes da redução na fatura mensal da unidade analisada com a eliminação de multas provocadas pelo baixo fator de potência, melhores condições na contratação das demandas e as melhorias quanto à continuidade no fornecimento de energia. As medidas e soluções adotadas neste estudo podem ser aplicadas a outros consumidores com todas as condições de se chegar aos resultados esperados, respeitando suas particularidades e suas atividades produtivas
