The core topic of the thesis is the role of the Republic of South Africa in the development of the African continent: dimensions and its changes. In the first part, the work contains general political and socio-economic background of South Africa (SA) on the African continent. The second part describes South African participation in the international division of labour, especially in the form of trade and capital relations. It does not forget about the description of development cooperation and integration efforts of SA in Africa. The last part is a summary of factors that have the main impact on South African role. Mentioned are: political and economic situation of the country, development agenda of NEPAD and South Africa's major trading partners - the European Union and China.

The price elasticity is used for predicting future tax revenues, or fuel consumption under various situations. This thesis focuses on elasticity estimation for the Czech Republic using high frequency evidence. We use the process of data mining to get the Czech evidence. Observed elasticity differs by the data aggregation level. Estimated long-run elasticity range between −0.38 and −0.68 for gasoline users and between −0.43 and −0.54 for diesel users. Much lower elasticity was estimated in the short-run that confirms economic theory. Verification and comparison of the results of object-oriented analysis with traditional methods of pixel-based classification showed differences in the of classification methods. In the case of object- oriented analysis spectral information are evaluated for the whole object. The highly heterogeneous objects such information may be averaged out and the object is thus classified as atypical representative of a certain class. Pixel classification methods, however, assess the quality of each pixel of the raster, so that any heterogeneous objects are divided into several classes. Informed consent is one of the most discussed issues of medical law. This thesis tries to contribute to the discussion through a comparative study between Czech law and Canadian law (the common law part of Canadian law), focusing on the basic components of the subject matter. The thesis is divided into six parts. The first one deals with information disclosure and consent to treatment in the paternalistic model and the participatory model of a doctor-patient relationship. The second part provides an overview of relevant Czech and Canadian legal sources and also of key milestones in the development of informed consent in both countries. The third part of the thesis discusses the concept of informed consent. The fourth part is focused on the disclosure - its content and scope, form and other related aspects. The fifth part of the thesis deals with the consent itself - its elements, the withdrawal of consent and the refusal to give consent. Finally, the sixth part deals with the specifics of minors. With regard to the basic features of informed consent, it can be clearly stated that the compared legal systems are fundamentally the same. Cílem práce je zpřístupnit dostupné prostředky pro přenos EDIFACTu v internetu, seznámit s bezpečnostními aspekty, které z daného vyplývají a přiblížit je oboru dopravy v ČR v návaznosti na automatizované informační systémy i jim předcházející prvotní vkládání dat z webových formulářů, především menšími institucemi. Práce nově představuje normy AS1, AS2 a AS3 skupiny EDIINT pro přenos EDI zpráv internetem pod protokoly SMTP, HTTP a FTP.

Vliv Společné zemědělské politiky (SZP) Evropské unie na Českou republiku je téma, jenž ve stále postupujících procesech globalizace a integrace nabývá na významu. Opatření v rámci SZP hrají velmi důležitou úlohu. Vývoj agrární politiky České republiky byl ovlivněn procesem integrace ČR do Evropské unie, jenž byl završen vstupem ČR do EU 1.května 2004. Potenciální oblasti rozvoje českého zemědělství pod vlivem SZP představují cílové zaměření práce. Farmáři mají potenciál zejména pro rozvoj ekologického zemědělství, podporovaném aktivitami spjatými s agroturismem či využíváním obnovitelných zdrojů energií. Čeští zemědělci čelí v EU tvrdé konkurenci, a proto je nezbytné, aby v co největší míře využívaly možnosti, které před ně Společná zemědělská politika klade zejména prostřednictvím strukturálních fondů.

Práce se zaměřuje na analýzu dopadu zavedení rovné daně pro fyzické osoby (zaměstnance) v České republice. V úvodních částech je charakterizován současný daňový systém, původní koncept rovné daně autorů Alvina Rabushky a Roberta E. Halla, koncept zavedení rovné daně v České republice navrhovaného ODS a příklad daňového systému Slovenska, které již rovnou daň uvedlo do praxe. Praktická část práce se zabývá analýzou rovné daně ? na srovnání výpočtu čisté mzdy zaměstnance podle současného systému a podle návrhu ODS je ukázána výhodnost či nevýhodnost rovné daně pro jednotlivé domácnosti s různou výší příjmů. Výsledkem práce je, že koncept rovné daně by zvýšil čistou mzdu všech domácností. Při hodnocení výsledků analýzy je však nutné přihlédnout k výchozím předpokladům, které byly přijaty z hlediska proveditelnosti analýzy.

Teoretická část: management, úrovně managementu, definice manažera, postavení a role manažerů, styly vedení lidí, styly rozhodování, manažerské dovednosti, efektivní řízení, změny nutné pro úspěch v 21. století. Praktická část: vývoj managementu v Evropě ve dvacátém století, vývoj managementu v Německu, vývoj managementu v Československu, České a Slovenské republice, kulturně podmíněné rozdíly mezi českými a německými manažery.

Záměrem práce je analyzovat vliv hospodářské situace v Německu na ekonomickou situaci v České republice. Zaměřuje se přitom na dvě oblasti, v kterých lze tento vliv vypozorovat. První oblast představuje německý hospodářský růst a jeho vliv na exportní výkonnost České republiky. Druhým tématem pak jsou přímé zahraniční investice, které v české ekonomice umístily německé subjekty, a jejich vliv na české ekonomické prostředí.

Multinacionálne korporácie sa v posledných rokoch stali jedným z najvýznamnejších fenoménov svetovej ekonomiky. Koncentrujú obrovské materiálne, finančné a ľudské zdroje, ako i know-how. Pohltili svet, ovládajú väčšinu medzinárodného obchodu. Jedným z dôkazov globálneho pôsobenia multinacionálnych korporácií je i španielska Telefónica, svetový líder v sektore telekomunikácií. Diplomová práca analyzuje jej pôsobenie v Českej republike, popisuje vstup firmy na český trh, snaží sa zmapovať a preskúmať fungovanie dielčích činností firmy, hľadá jej silné a slabé stránky, poskytuje nahliadnutie do vnútra spoločnosti, vytvára obraz o riadení a fungovaní nadnárodnej korporácie v Českej republike.
