The study solves the reconstruction and extension department store called Centrum, which is located in the city center of Brno.It is designed by the famous Czech architect Vladimír Karfík. The building was designed as a skyscraper, unfortunately, was built only 8 floors. The proposal for the reconstruction of the floors, where there will be placed services for public, then will be build the superstructure of 7 floors, where will be the apartments. The interpretation of facade design to back the idea of original horizontality.

The presented diploma thesis was elaborated as an architectural study of a new synagogue in Brno according to the assignment. The goal of the thesis was to design the architectural proposal of the synagogue as well as of the new centre for the Jewish community and Jewish museum. The Jewish community in Brno is a closed community. The aim was to create a place for members of the Jewish community which would be separated from the public space. The proposal is divided into two parts, the museum with public space and the buildings of the Jewish community. The Jewish community area consists of the kosher restaurant, offices, library, community hall, mikveh ritual bath, synagogue and garden. The suggested structural organization enabled to separate public space of Jewish museum from the internal private area for the Jewish community while keeping the overall integrity of the venue.

This thesis describes the preparation of a project documentation for construction of a mountain guest house. The building is situated in the outskirts of the village Řeka on sloping land. It is a four-storey building with a basement and three floors. Peripheral bearing structures in the basement and first floor are in indirect contact with the soil and are lined with shuttering and a monolithic concrete. Perimeter and interior bearing walls are lined with ceramic blocks. The ceiling structure consists of a pramic - concrete panels. Stairways and elevator shafts are reinforced with a concrete . The building is covered with a gable roof, which is divided in the centre by an aisle roof. The part of the loft is used as an attic.

The master’s thesis deals with new building of hotel in Bludov. The thesis is processed in the form of project documentation for new building, containing all the requirements according to applicable standards and regulations. The building is located on flat terrain. Two-floor, partially basement building respects the height of existing buildings. In the basement there is a technical background. At the ground floor is located restaurant with kitchen facilities, fitness centre, infrared sauna, relaxation room and wheelchair access rooms. On the second floor there are rooms for the guests. Peripheral masonry of the basement is composed of permanent formwork. The remaining walls are made up of brick blocks. The roof over part of the ground floor contains vegetation. Roof above the second deck is partially saddle roof and mono-pitched roof.

V oblasti zpracování signálů se v současné době čím dál více využívají tzv. řídké reprezentace signálů, tzn. že daný signál je možné vyjádřit přesně či velmi dobře aproximovat lineární kombinací velmi malého počtu vektorů ze zvoleného reprezentačního systému. Tato práce se zabývá využitím řídkých reprezentací pro rekonstrukci poškozených zvukových záznamů, ať už historických nebo nově vzniklých. Především historické zvukové nahrávky trpí zarušením jako praskání nebo šum. Krátkodobé poškození zvukových nahrávek bylo doposud řešeno interpolačními technikami, zejména pomocí autoregresního modelování. V nedávné době byl představen algoritmus s názvem Audio Inpainting, který řeší doplňování chybějících vzorků ve zvukovém signálu pomocí řídkých reprezentací. Zmíněný algoritmus využívá tzv. hladové algoritmy pro řešení optimalizačních úloh. Cílem této práce je porovnání dosavadních interpolačních metod s technikou Audio Inpaintingu. Navíc, k řešení optimalizačních úloh jsou využívány algoritmy založené na l1-relaxaci, a to jak ve formě analyzujícího, tak i syntetizujícího modelu. Především se jedná o proximální algoritmy. Tyto algoritmy pracují jak s jednotlivými koeficienty samostatně, tak s koeficienty v závislosti na jejich okolí, tzv. strukturovaná řídkost. Strukturovaná řídkost je dále využita taky pro odšumování zvukových nahrávek. Jednotlivé algoritmy jsou v praktické části zhodnoceny z hlediska nastavení parametrů pro optimální poměr rekonstrukce vs. výpočetní čas. Všechny algoritmy popsané v práci jsou na praktických příkladech porovnány pomocí objektivních metod odstupu signálu od šumu (SNR) a PEMO-Q. Na závěr je úspěšnost rekonstrukce poškozených zvukových signálů vyhodnocena.

The theme of diploma thesis is a new building of the mountain guest house with restaurant. The location of object is quiet part of village Lipová-lázně – Dolní Lipová, district Jeseník. The building has two floors, a partial basement and an attic. Accommodation is designed for 31 hotel guests. In guest house is also private accommodation for employers. The main material of bearing walls are ceramic fittings. The building is based on the passports of plain concrete. The roof is gabled with a dormer window in all of attic rooms.

The subject of this diploma thesis is a project of guesthouse. The building is situated in moderate slope terrain in cadastral territory Hlinsko v Čechách. Guest house capacity is 46 beds. Guesthouse has three floors and is designed from the structural system Porotherm. The ceilings are made of reinforced concrete joined with stiffening reinforced concrete wreath. The roofs of the house are built as saddle roof. In the first floor there is located main entrance, reception desk and restaurant with facilities. This study deals with the topic of restaurant sustainability in Czech context. The aim of the research was to set criteria for a Czech sustainable restaurant and also to reveal main barriers and opportunities for sustainable operation of a restaurant. The sustainable restaurant criteria were based on an analysis and comparison of four foreign methods of sustainability assessment in the sector of food services (FOODSCALE, Sustainable Restaurant Association, Green Restaurant Association and the Green Seal's GS-55 Standard), one Czech concept of restaurant sustainability, an analysis of good practices in fifteen foreign "sustainable restaurants" and an analysis of interviews with four Czech experts in the field of sustainable development and gastronomy. Based on this data the final Sustainable Restaurant Criteria were established, comprised of 102 criteria, classified into 5 main categories and 26 subcategories. The criteria were then described in detail, in view of the Czech context. The barriers and opportunities for the operation of Czech sustainable restaurant, defined by the above mentioned criteria, were identified from interviews realised with eight restaurateurs, who are already meeting some of the criteria, and therefore are one of the most progressive in Czech Republic in this field. This work explores architectural elements of the church of the St. Jiljí in Nymburk. It deals with their description and analysis and sorts them according to the stages of development of the church. The present state of the object results from the restauration made by K. Hilbert at the beginning of 20th century. As there is no newer literature dedicated to the restored church in Nymburk, I have focused above all on this period. In my work the restauration of the church is incorporated in the context of specific periods. The work mentions the reasons of the new interest in historical monuments in the middle of 19th century, the political situation in the town, the reforms of the Church and other circumstances which led to the realization of the project. I describe in details Hilbert's initial projects of the restauration of the church and the circumstances leading to the restauration. I also mention the development of the autor's views and the causes of the changes of the project, and the possible sources of inspiration of K. Hilbert and how he was influenced by medieval and modern art. On this example I show the application of the new theories in the care of historical monuments. This attitude helped K. Pomocí etnografického přístupu a kombinace terénního výzkumu a opakovaných rozhovorů tato práce blíže zkoumá turecké kuchaře v pražských restauracích. Přesto, že turecká menšina není v České republice početná, restaurací nabízejících turecká jídla je zde mnoho. Nejprve je tedy analyzován prostor, ve kterém se výzkumník pohybuje, poté je rozdělen na dva hlavní typy restauračních zařízení. Hlavní identifikovaní aktéři jsou zasazeni do v sítě vztahů a tyto vztahy s tureckými kuchaři jsou následně interpretovány. Těchto významných vztahů je v práci identifikováno celkem šest. Vztahy s tureckými dodavateli, s rodinou a tureckými zákazníky, jsou označeny jako vztahy intraetnické. Vztahy s ostatními dodavateli, českými zákazníky, netureckými muslimskými zákazníky a ostatními prodejci, jsou potom označeny jako vztahy interetnické. Zachycené vztahy jsou vzájemně propojeny pomocí jídla a procesů s ním spojených. Pomocí důvěrně známých chutí, receptů a ingrediencí se kuchaři vztahují k domovu a skrze jejich nabídku, a to zejména domácími jídly, se prezentují českým zákazníkům.
