Lindskog Stegfeldt, Natalie, Nilses, Johannes January 2024 (has links)
This paper aimed to investigate the reactions of three industries to the economic effects of the corona pandemic: the restaurant & hotel industry, the retail industry and the transportation industry by examining three periods: before, during and after the pandemic. The results showed that the number of bankruptcies decreased during the pandemic where it was expected to increase, and after the pandemic it increased instead.  The focus is also on an alternative explanatory variable: support packages, which were introduced to mitigate the economic impact of the pandemic, which was considered to have influenced the results of the data analysis. The focus was on an alternative explanatory variable: support packages, which were introduced during the pandemic to mitigate the economic impact, which was considered to have influenced the results from the analysis presented.
