January 2017 (has links)
Humor a satira jako prostředek vyrovnání se se zkušeností holokaustu na příkladu děl Tadeusze Borowského a Edgara Hilsenratha / Humor and Satire as instrument of reconciliation with the holocaust experience on the example of T. Borowski and E. Hilsenrath works

Šulcová, Veronika January 2021 (has links)
Although the combination of humour and holocaust may seem rather startling, further analysis of humour characteristics brings to light its significant functions, which, according to the survivors, humour in the holocaust truly fulfilled. Whether it is a matter of being able to see the object of one's attention from several perspectives, from an emotional distance or being able to release accumulated frustrations, there is clear evidence of humour's appreciable role during the holocaust and in the aftermath. Within the framework of coping with the trauma caused by the holocaust experience also emerged holocaust literature dealing with the subject from a humorous perspective, which motivated a lot of debates developed about appropriateness of humour in the holocaust representation. To other controversial works from this area also belong the short stories by Tadeusz Borowski and the novel The Nazi & the Barber by Edgar Hilsenrath. This master thesis follows humour, satire and cynicism as means of coping with traumatic holocaust experience based on the example of the above mentioned works of Tadeusz Borowski and Edgar Hilsenrath, which, according to many critics, tested the limits of holocaust representation thanks to their unusual humorous approach. Thus, the aim of the thesis is to analyze these...

Representações das relações de gênero em Apuleio /

Gibelato, Lahís Moreno. January 2017 (has links)
(Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: In this work the representations of the gender relations in the book of satiric literature Metamorphoses of the Roman-African author, Apuleius, are analyzed. This book is considered the work of the maturity of the author, who lived in the second century AD. Understanding how these relationships have been studied in historiography and Human Sciences, as well as understanding how this type of literature has been analyzed by specialized historiography are also aspects of great importance of the present study. In this research of historical character, is considered important the origin and the social condition of the author, since it is a province of the Roman Empire. The fantastic story is about a narrative in which a man, through the misuse of magical practices, turns out to be an ass. Even so, the literary work can be an instrument of great importance in the study of social relations in the universe of Antiquity, because it carries indications that allow the interpretation of aspects of the society represented by the vision of an author of the provincial aristocracy. Historiographical discussions and case studies of selected passages are developed in the light of the gender theory, based on the reading of the historian Joan Scott, to investigate the forms of construction of these relations. Finally, the question of the representations present in the narrative is analyzed, which uses the exaggeration and the maximization of characteristics considered as belonging to the feminine gender to compose a critique, while the models of behavior... / This dissertation on literary criticism focuses the book Fazenda Modelo – novela pecuária, written by Chico Buarque. Published in 1974, it was very well received by the readers, but only in the last few years this work has been the subject of criticism, getting a deeper examination, placing it inside the author's aesthetic project. Known as a composer and his theatrical production, in Fazenda Modelo Chico Buarque outlines many aspects that would continue to develop throughout his later prose production, considering this Estorvo, Benjamin, Budapeste and Leite derramado. This work establishes a satirical and parodic relation with the dystopian literature of George Orwell and Aldous Huxley, but discusses this same tradition by printing a local color that sets it apart from the texts which it dialogues with. It is in the thought of Bakhtin's Circle that this research tries to understand the transformations of art and social life so intertwined and dialectic. Based also on formulations of other authors – such as Georg Lukács, Walter Benjamin, Antonio Candido, Roberto Schwarz, among others – this work investigates how the literature of Chico Buarque dialogues with the scientific and social thinking, incorporating many of these aspects to the structure of the text. We highlight the aspect of the malandragem as the unifying element of the author's prose, where a given social reality of the country earns aesthetic and verifiable as permanent in time. The point of view concerning this Ethics (and aesthetics) of trickery is related to the dialectic between the order and disorder, between the official and the unofficial, findable aspect both in society and in Brazilian literature. In this feature, we see an offshoot in the work of Chico Buarque that is configured as an ambivalent relationship between construction and dissolution, producing... Análise do discurso humorístico = condições de produção das piadas de Joãozinho = Analysis of speech humorous : conditions of production of little Johnny jokes / Analysis of speech humorous : conditions of production of little Johnny jokes

Ávila, Fernanda Góes de Oliveira, 1985- 20 August 2018 (has links)
Orientador: Sírio Possenti / Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem / Made available in DSpace on 2018-08-20T21:38:07Z (GMT). The aim of this paper is the analysis of a corpus consisting of a set of "little Johnny jokes". In this material, we want to evaluate, based on theoretical Discourse Analysis French, what are their conditions of production, seeking to understand the historical and social reasons and stereotypical male representation in this material. The purpose of this analysis is to examine the ideology present in sexist in little Johnny jokes: the construction of masculinity from the transgression of social rules. What seem relevant in this theme are the following questions: "Why does humor about the relationship between teacher and student?"; "Why do these boys are made jokes and bad students?"; "Why this discourse the teacher is ridiculed?"; "To what extent the talk of the jokes is 'truth'?"; "What are the linguistic triggers that make these issues a laughingstock?". In an attempt to elucidate the issues outlined above, our theoretical framework is mainly the literature on mood (Freud, 1905; Bergson, 1900; Propp, 1976; Raskin, 1985; Bakhtin, 1987, and Possenti, 1998), about the school (Carvalho 2001, 2003 and Menandro e Souza, 2010) and especially the literature on men (Nolasco, 1993, 1995; Bourdieu, 2009). And the foundations of analysis are supported by the French Discourse Analysis, especially with regard to concepts related to the production conditions, stereotypy, ethos, simulacrum, discursive memory. The starting point for analysis is to understand the functioning of the humorous speech, and from that to deconstruct the dominant social imaginary that little Johnny jokes are naively produced by children for the purpose of causing terror in adults. Subsequently, we try to show that little Johnny jokes are made under the pretense of voices and children are the result of historical conditions of competition in respect of pupils with the school and the fruit of the boys attempt to (re) assert their masculinity. Our objective, therefore, evident that from this tension between student and school and (bad) conduct of the boys is created stereotypes that are subsequently put into circulation by the humorous speech by means of a technical language / Mestrado / Linguistica / Mestre em Linguística
