Vzdělávání romských dětí v České republice / Education of Roma children in the Czech Republic

Zarzycká, Andrea January 2009 (has links)
Diploma thesis "Education of Roma children in the Czech Republic" deals with the issue of the status quo in education of Roma children. The aim is to analyze the situation in the education of Roma children in the Czech Republic and to compare it with other European countries and find examples of good practice. The educational situation of Roma pupils remains unsatisfactory, not only in the Czech Republic but also in other European countries. Roma pupils continue to be subject to exclusion in quality education resulting from variety of many interrelated factors including poor living conditions of parents, especially high unemployment, low education level and living in social exclusion. It is necessary to make systemic changes in order to increase the quality education chances of Roma children, because the Roma population belongs among the most socially vulnerable groups affected by a variety of risk factors that often result in cumulative disadvantages and often bring the Roma into the spiral of mechanisms leading to social exclusion.

Analýza vzniku sloučenin fosforu při procesech tepelného zpracování / Analysis of Iron-Phosphorus Reaction Products Formation During Heat Treatment Processes

Skoumalová, Zuzana Unknown Date (has links)
During high pressure pulsation tests repeated cracks of CP3. housings occur. High pressure pump CP3 is part of injection system Common Rail. Cracks can be caused by segregation of phosphorous from a washing medium on grain boundaries during subsequent heat treatment process. The present master´s thesis focuses on analysis of phosphorous compounds on specimen surface made from steel 20MnCr5, which were soaked in solutions with different concentration of phosphorous. Master’s thesis is also focused on potencial influence of phosphorous on structure and properties of this material. The first part of the thesis provides a summary of current knowledge in the studied field, experimental results can be found in the second part. The surface analysis XPS, the light microscopy, the scanning electron microscopy equipped by energy dispersive chemical analysis, the glow discharge optical emission spectroscopy, the methods of the phase analysis by means of the X-ray diffraction and impact test were used.

Úloha Trim15 a UCHL3 v regulaci buněčného cyklu pomocí ubikvitin signalizace. / The roles of Trim15 and UCHL3 in the ubiquitin-mediated cell cycle regulation.

Jeřábková, Kateřina January 2019 (has links)
(ENGLISH) Ubiquitin signaling is a key regulatory mechanism for many important cellular processes such as transcription, differentiation and cell division. Cell division requires duplication of all genetic material during S-phase followed by its precise partitioning between two daughter cells during mitosis. Misregulation of the complex mitotic machinery may lead to aneuploidy and genomic instability, known drivers of tumorigenesis. Indeed, systematic genetic analysis of many cancer tissues over the last decades, indicates the presence of severe chromosome abnormalities in thousands of cancer tissue samples. In this work, I investigated the function of two components of ubiquitin signaling, the deubiquitinating enzyme UCHL3 and the E3 ubiquitin ligase TRIM15. The hypothesized role of E3 ligase TRIM15 in the cell cycle regulation could not be confirmed by our experiments, but I observed an effect on cell adhesion and motility instead. UCHL3 was identified using high-content visual siRNA screen, as a critical factor controlling genome segregation and integrity. Interestingly, it has been previously reported that UCHL3 levels are altered in various cancer types, especially colon cancer. My data demonstrate that UCHL3 drives proper alignment of chromosomes at the metaphase plate by facilitating...

Americká města v post-industriální realitě: Detroit a Pittsburgh / American Cities in Post-Industrial Reality: Detroit and Pittsburgh

Černá, Iveta January 2014 (has links)
The thesis studies possibilities of restructuring of post-industrial cities by closely following and comparing the restructuring efforts of two cities located in the U.S. Midwest, Detroit and Pittsburgh. It studies the consequences of globalizing economy on the area of so- called Rust-Belt, as well as the impacts of the federal urban policies on the older industrial cities located in this area. Through deindustrialization of their economies, both Detroit and Pittsburgh suffered from similar problems, such as depopulation, unemployment, factory closure, and urban decline. Therefore to evaluate the level of success of the cities' transformation, the thesis compares their demographic and economic development. The last two chapter of the thesis provide assessment of Detroit's and Pittsburgh's transformation efforts by focusing on the urban planning and economic restructuralization strategies.

PROGRESIVNÍ VÝROBNÍ POSTUPY A MODELOVÁNÍ STRUKTUR A VLASTNOSTÍ LITIN S KULIČKOVÝM GRAFITEM / PROGRESSIVE PRODUCTION PROCESSES AND SIMULATION OF STRUCTURES AND PROPERTIES OF SPHEROIDAL GRAPHITE CAST IRON

Musilová, Iveta January 2010 (has links)
The thesis is concerned with relationships between progressive technological processes of spheroidal graphite cast iron’s production and their structural properties. The aim of the work is to explain causal relationship between parameters of the proposed manufacturing technology of the iron type given (involving selected variants of modification and inoculation of melt and the parameters of melt crystallization, solidification and cooling down in a mould), their structure and even chemical heterogeneity of elements in this structure. For close specification of presented relationships three-dimensional model of spheroidal graphite growth was used, which was developed at the Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Its usability in praxis has been verified on the basisis of the application of this model on experimentally acquired data. The U GRAFIT 20 model of the authors Stránský and Million counting segregation in the frame of eutectic cell has not still been used for prediction of segregation in real condition in greater extent. On the basis of the above mentioned model microsegregation within “on average” of the cell has been discovered during experimental melts. Microsegregation has been described by segregation and heterogeneity indexes. Calculated values of segregation and heterogeneity indexes have been compared with experimentally verified values. On the basis of comparison of calculated and measured values the possibility of further usage of the mentioned model in praxis has been explored.

Vliv ztráty hmoty hvězd na dynamiku hvězdokup / The influence of the stellar mass-loss on the dynamics of star clusters

Dinnbier, František January 2012 (has links)
This work aims at studying the influence of the stellar mass-loss, resulting from the stellar evolution, on the dynamics of massive star clusters. The emphasis has been put on the mass-loss by low-mass and intermediate-mass stars (m < 8 Mo) that form, at the end of their life, a planetary nebula. The expansion speed of gas released by these stars is lower than the escape speed from sufficiently massive star clusters, and the gas can be retained by the cluster. For modelling of the gas hydrodynamics, a simple sticky-particles method was used. To carry out simulations in which gaseous and stellar particles mutually interact through their gravity, substantial modifications had to be realized in the N-body codes Nbody6 and Hermit. For the sake of comparing the influence of stellar mass-loss and relaxation processes, which are happening in the simplified model, two types of simulations were performed: one with the formation of gaseous particles and the other consisting of purely stellar component. The simulations in which the gas component was present showed out a significantly different evolution in the central part of the cluster than those in which the presence of gas was not considered.
