MÍČKOVÁ LIŠKOVÁ, Kateřina January 2009 (has links)
The thesis deals with the history of feminism both in the world and in the Czech Republic, its trends and waves. Some distinguished male and female feminism representatives whose works and opinions have influenced the development of feminist ideology are introduced. It also gives a survey of permeation as well as influence of feminism and gender on certain areas of private and social life in the European Union and in the Czech Republic. In the thesis legitimacy or illegitimacy of feminist demands and possibilities to meet those demands are discussed. The terms such as equality, discrimination, agenda on equality between men and women and family politics are mentioned, because they refer to areas of a prominent concern of feminism.

DISKRIMINACE ŽEN NA TRHU PRÁCE / DISCRIMINATION AGAINST WOMEN IN THE LABOUR MARKET

Szabová, Lucia January 2010 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the status of women in the labour market. The thesis outlines gender issues and focuses on the principle of equal opportunities for men and women, which has become largely a public issue. The thesis aims to explore two areas in the sphere of employment. The first aim is to detect differences in the status of women in the labour market regarding the level of employment equality and to identify factors that affect them. The second aim is focused on finding differences in the gender pay gap and to identify factors that determine them. The situation of women in the labour market and the wage differences is a statistical examination of data on the Czech Republic. The thesis presents a conclusive explanation of gender inequality in the labour market and the problem of harmonizing work and family life. The legislation is also presented, which represents the efforts of the state to eliminate unequal access to women. Results of the analysis made comprehensive findings of developments and current status of women in the labour market set in a European context.

Činnost nevládních neziskových organizací v oblasti předškolního vzdělávání pro sociálně znevýhodněné a jejich role v inkluzi romských dětí / The Activities of Nongovernmental Organizations in the Field of Preschool Education for Socially Disadvantaged and their Role in the Inclusion of Roma Children

Kozáková, Aneta January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis combines the issue of the educational system in the Czech Republic with the issue of social exclusion that contributes to the tendency of the emergence of segregated schools in which Roma are often found. Another issues to combines with is civil society, both in terms of its organized form - non-profit organizations so from the point of view of its subjectively perceived component so-called civility. In the theoretical part are presented the knowledge from these areas needed to understand the problems and to place the research part in the context. The methodological part of the thesis monitors the activities of non-profit organizations dealing with pre-school preparation of children from socially disadvantaged environment, their relationships and cooperation with state institutions, their role in the education process and factors contributing to the fact that these children are to a great extent provided with pre-school education by civil society organizations. One of the research questions concerns the role of these non-profit organizations in the inclusion of Roma children in the elementary school system.

Stejné, ale jiné? Srovnání integrační zkušenosti uprchlíků a gastarbeiterů v Německu / Same, but different? A comparison of the integration experiences of refugees and guest worker migrants in Germany

Gundacker, Lidwina January 2018 (has links)
Same, but different? A comparison of the integration experiences of refugees and guest worker migrants in Germany Abstract The increasing number of asylum seekers arriving in Germany over the past years have not only sparked an emotional public debate on immigration and societal membership, but have also proven to be a major challenge for policy-makers. Although the volume of refugee migration is indeed unprecedented in Germany, the country has had significant experience with receiving and integrating newcomers in its recent past: the post-war economic boom has led to the recruitment of millions of foreign workers, so- called Gastarbeiter. A non-negligible share ultimately settled permanently, but their integration process was not without its challenges. This paper argues that Germany's guest worker experience offers valuable insight into current integration processes in the German context. To make this existing knowledge accessible, this work uses a historical approach to identify the main elements that have shaped the integration experiences of guest workers in Germany, tied in with an econometric examination assessing the main factors in turn associated with the economic integration of the current refugee cohort. Comparison of the results suggest that a range of obstacles faced by guest workers and their...

Romové na českém venkově: determinanty vyloučení a potenciál pro inkluzi / Roma on the Czech countryside: Determinants of exclusion, potentials for inclusion

Hurrle, Jakob January 2019 (has links)
The dissertation project Roma on the Czech countryside: Determinants of exclusion, potentials for inclusion deals with the situation of Roma in Czech rural municipalities. The starting motivation for the author's exploration of this topic has been information about the growing number of segregated localities in rural areas. In the local public discourses within the peripheral areas, this phenomenon has often been explained as the consequence of poverty-driven urban-rural migration. However, as the migration of socially excluded populations into disadvantaged areas stirs a lot of fears and negative emotions that provide a fertile ground for the spread of rumours, the author's preparatory research soon revealed that it is necessary to carefully distinguish between myths and reality. The author's desire to understand the complex processes behind the emergence of new Roma localities in rural areas required a combination of working methods: The author analysed the national policy and regulatory framework and realized empirical research in five micro-regions in different parts of the Czech Republic. In addition to this, data were gained through the realization of a country-wide survey with two different sets of questionnaires, which targeted rural municipalities with socially excluded localities and urban social...

Historie nerovných příležitostí v USA: Segregace hispánských dětí ve školách / Historie nerovných příležitostí v USA: Segregace hispánských dětí ve školách

Veselková, Eva January 2015 (has links)
A History of Unequal Opportunity in the U.S. Segregation of Latino School Children Half a century has passed since the U.S. Supreme Court famously stated that separate educational facilities are inherently unequal. After all this time, separate facilities are still the reality and they are still unequal. This thesis examines the educational experience of Latino children in the United States from the twentieth century up to the present, with the main focus on the area of the American Southwest. The history of Latino school segregation is examined from the legal perspective, focusing on the significant court cases in which Latinos fought against segregation and for equal educational opportunities. A special attention is paid to Mendez v. Westminster federal court case, which has ended de jure segregation of Latinos after the World War II. While the topic of school segregation in relation to Latinos is often overlooked by professional literature and little known to the public, it is very important as Latinos represent one fourth of all public school children in the United States today. This paper concludes that, because of school segregation, the educational history of Latinos in the United States is one of unequal opportunity. Moreover, the educational opportunities of Latino children remain...

Optimalizace procesu tepelného zpracování LKG legovaných niklem / Heat treatment processes optimalization of ADI with graded Ni content

Klimentová, Jiřina January 2010 (has links)
This work is focused on segregation processes in the matrix of spheroidal graphite cast iron with different silicon and nickel content during heat treatment. The aim of this work is to trace the redistribution of the elements of interest during homogenization annealing with different dwell time by comparison of the effective distribution coefficients. Comparison of some specific properties and description of structure development of spheroidal graphite cast iron matrix from initial state to the state after ferritization and homogenization annealing is included in this work.

Využití homogenizačního žíhání k potlačení segregace křemíku a niklu v LKG / Application of Homogenization Annealing to Suppress Silicon and Nickel Segregation in Ductile Iron

Pavloušková, Zina January 2010 (has links)
This doctoral thesis deals with the comparison of different methods of alloying elements’ concentration measurement based on energy dispersive spectroscopy and also with the suitability of particular methods of quantitative assessment of heterogeneity of the spheroidal graphite cast iron matrix. The segregation curves construction, distribution coefficient and heterogeneity index formulation is also discussed. The notion “normalized distribution coefficient” is introduced newly. The goal of the thesis, which is to be achieved by means of evaluation of large experimental data sets, is the evaluation of applicability of homogenization annealing of spheroidal graphite cast iron with the aim to eliminate segregation of silicon, and mainly nickel, as pearlite- and carbide-forming agent at the border of an eutectic cell. The result is an optimized homogenization annealing schedule maximizing the suppression of silicon and nickel segregation while taking into account the minimization of financial expenses and risk of grain coarsening.

Organizovaná občanská společnost, obec a soukromí majitelé bytů v systému sociálního bydlení v Praze 5. / Organized Civil Society, the Municipality, and Private Landlords in Social Housing in Prague 5

Horká, Aneta January 2015 (has links)
This paper considers the issue of social housing and possibilities of cooperation between organized civil society, the municipality, and private landlords regarding social housing in the 5th district of Prague. I focused on the potential hidden in the possible involvement of private landlords and non profit organizations in the system of social housing. In the qualitative research I dealt with the role individual actors play in social housing, as well as possible parallels with social entrepreneurship. I made eleven interviews and one focus group with representatives of the target group households. The paper includes also a description of foreign trends in social housing, and closely considers the German and Dutch cases. It brings forth an analysis of the housing situation in Prague 5, and a proposition of an innovative model of social housing in this particular district.
