No. of bitstreams: 0 Previous issue date: 10 / Nenhuma / É notável os investimentos que as organizações tem realizado nas áreas sociais e ambientais; e algumas pesquisas têm apresentado que a sociedade estaria disposta a pagar mais por um produto que não agrida o meio ambiente. Com o intuito de avaliar se as empresas estão tendo um retorno destes investimentos, o presente estudo objetivou determinar o nível de influência dos investimentos sociais e ambientais na receita líquida e no resultado operacional das empresas. Para tal, realizou-se uma pesquisa documental, onde foram coletados os balanços sociais modelo IBASE de 176 empresas, disponíveis no site deste instituto. Com o auxílio do software SPSS 13.0 for Windows realizou-se a análise fatorial com as variáveis independentes, em número de 23, com a finalidade de redução de dados, chegando-se a sete fatores, sendo o segundo melhor conjunto formado por seis fatores. The present study aimed at evaluating whether those companies are somehow obtaining return; at determining the level of influence of those social and environmental investments over their net revenues and operational results. The method was a documental research for which social balance statement were collected – IBASE model – that were available at the site of this institute. With the help from software SPSS 13.0 for Windows, one fulfilled the factorial analysis with 23 independent variables.
