Socialtjänstens arbete mot ungdomskriminalitet : En kvalitativ studie om socialtjänstens arbete med att förebygga och motverka ungdomskriminalitet

Danho, Daniel, Juka, Fatlum January 2022 (has links)
The study “social services work against youth criminality” purpose is to develop knowledge about how employees in the social services describe the causes of youth criminality and how to prevent and work against youth criminality. Our data has been collected from five interviews with contributors from the social services. The theories used in the study are stigma, empowerment and Payne ́s three perspectives within social work. The collected data shows that the most important social factors that can prevent and get youngster out of criminality are parents, school and the environment itself. This is what the social services mainly works on with their crime prevention work. The study is based on qualitative interviews, with help from a semistructured interview guide. The main results show that youngsters with poor schooling and parenthood are the reason why they end up in a criminal path. This is also what the social services focus on mostly, in order to prevent youth criminality in collaboration between the social services and youngster's environment, which are primarily the school and the parents.

Regional Family Policy Focused on Families at Risk Veronika Burešová Introduction: Diploma thesis deals with the activities of regional authorities focused on support of families at risk, in context of the process of transformation of the alternative care system for children at risk in the Czech Republic. The goals: The main goal of the thesis is to explore the approach of regional authorities to the issue of families at risk and what forms this approach. Methods: The research was divided into two parts. Firstly the case studies of thirteen regions (except Prague) were elaborated. Based on these studies, 4 regions were chosen, 2 as examples of good practice, other 2 as examples of bad practices. In these four regions, qualitative semi-structured interviews were done. As respondents a councillor and an officer of regional authority office were chosen. 7 interviews were finally made, 2 respondents answered by email. Outcomes: We can find family as a target group in most of regional plans for the development of social services, but it is usually not a priority. The family regional strategy papers were elaborated only in 5 regions, but not all of them are focused also on families at risk. Title: The Principles of Funding of the Public and Voluntary Formalised Solidarity in the Social Care Services in the Czech Republic Abstract: The social care services are a specific system within the social protection system. Opposed to the public benefit systems they allow the coexistence of public and voluntary solidarity. There are many welfare state models and systems of cooperation of the public and NGOs in Europe. These models offer differently formed relationships of their entities. This thesis raises the question of finding a more convenient organisation of the whole system of the social care services in the Czech Republic where the problem is currently being discussed The objective of the thesis is to find possibilities of public and voluntary solidarity in the social care services settings and to suggest ways for their cooperation. The research is mainly based on qualitative methods. Firstly, the causal links of statistical nature from the fields of demography, social relations and economics are introduced. In the next step a combination of methods of in depth interviews and expert discussions is used. They focus on public solidarity and regulation in the system. The last research step brings 3 case studies with examples of the best practice in financing of NGOs in the social care services...

Marková, Agáta January 2015 (has links)
This thesis with title "Aging Czech population as a problem of the future and the question of sustainability of social care for the elderly" aims to highlight this actual topic. The demographic prognoses predict a growing proporsion of seniors in population and it could imply much greater demand for social services in the future. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss this question today. In my thesis, I use evaluation research methods to try answer if the current system is sustainable.
