Į gabiųjų vaikų pažinimo ir ugdymo ypatumų tyrimus reikšminga įtraukti kuo daugiau mūsų šalies pedagogų – praktikų. Pradiniame tyrimų etape svarbu išsiaiškinti, kokia įvairiais gabumais pasižyminčių vaikų situacija esti jų ugdymo institucijose. Todėl šio darbo tikslas – ištirti, Klaipėdos miesto pagrindinių mokyklų gabių moksleivių ugdymo(si) esamą situaciją. Siekiant šio tikslo, remiantis moksline literatūra, išanalizuota pedagoginė ir psichologinė gabaus vaiko charakteristika ir aptarti gabių vaikų ugdymo teoriniai pagrindai, ištirtas mokinių ir mokytojų požiūris į gabių vaikų ugdymo ir jo sąlygų dabartinę ir pageidaujamą situaciją, palyginta abiejų grupių respondentų, turinčių įtakos ugdymo proceso organizavimui ir jame dalyvaujančių, nuostatos gabių vaikų ugdymo atžvilgiu. / It is important to draw in as many teachers (practicians ) as possible in the research of cognition and teaching the gifted children. At the initial stage of the research it is important to find out what the situation of children of various abilities in their educational institutions is. The aim of this Master’s paper is to investigate the situation of the gifted schoolchildren in Klaipeda basic schools. Trying to attain this purpose and referring to scientific literature, pedagogical and psychological characteristics of talented children are analyzed, theoretical bases of educating the gifted schoolchildren are discussed, the learners and teachers’ attitude to education of gifted schoolchildren present and desirable conditions, the standpoints of both groups of respondents who influence the process of teaching and participating in it are compared.
