A consignment library of reusable software components for use over the World-Wide Web

Hicklin, R. Austin 20 January 2010 (has links)
This research project report discusses the development of a commercial, consignment-based library (a) of reusable software components to be accessed using the World-Wide Web. The research project consists of two parts: the development of a prototype system that provides interface and information retrieval functionality for such a system, and an analysis of the technical and business issues involved in making the library operational as a commercial entity. <p>The prototype system uses a hypertext browser and a query-based search mechanism to access descriptions of reusable software components; these descriptions are structured by a variation of a faceted classification system. The issues addressed include the classification and description of reusable software components; methods of retrieval, especially library browsing methods based on component classification; and analysis of incentives for reuse. / Master of Science

Mokomųjų kompiuterinių priemonių leidyba Lietuvoje / The Educational Software Publishing in Lithuania

Mažeikaitė, Vaida 04 March 2009 (has links)
The aim is to investigate the process of Educational Software publishing, its supply and factors that influence it. Major goals of the study: analysis of Educational Software production process; analysis of Educational Software supply published in Lithuania; provide a list of Lithuanian Educational Software list; analysis of most influential factors of Educational Software publishing; analysis of Educational Software promotion factors, choosing one publishing house. Keywords: Educational software, Educational Software research, Educational Software classification, study of teachers work with Educational Software, Educational Software distribution, Educational Software promotion. After information search and systematization, analysis of documents, usage questionnaire and comparative survey methods, findings show that Educational Software is one of the most important digital educational means. Educational Software comprises video, audio and textual information which can not be achieved by other educational means. As well these means can be interactive which helps students learn material better and learning process becomes more interesting. This study includes a list of original Lithuanian Educational Software which is designed and appropriate for secondary school use. After investigation of Educational Software supply in Lithuania we can assume that schools use original Lithuanian and adapted foreign software... [to full text]

L'enseignement de la proportionnalité en segpa : contraintes, spécificités, situations / The teaching of proportionality in special-needs secondary schools : constraints, specificities, situations

Voisin, Samuel 17 December 2013 (has links)
The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the teaching of proportionality to 11 to 16-year old pupils registered in special-needs schools including pupils with more severe learning disabilities.Studies related to the teaching of mathematics have shown that the understanding of proportionality by pupils up to middle school age and more particularly by children with significant learning difficulties is often inappropriate. In order to find out if an adjustment can be made without any impact on the knowledge requirements, we experimented a teaching plan concerning the learning of proportionality by children with special-needs in the context of our study. We insist on the importance of the organization of the different types of knowledge within this teaching plan and also on the relevance of backgrounds and values of numerical didactical parameters. Analysis of our observations is carried out with statistical implicative analysis, Theory of Didactical Situations and with the frame of the double approach used to analyse the practices of teachers. The implementation of such a teaching plan requires, for teachers, mathematical knowledge. In order to reactivate this knowledge, we propose a symbolic scheme for each resolving technique applied to problems involving direct proportionality.
