Mažeikaitė, Vaida 04 March 2009 (has links)
Efektivní škálovatelné řešiče pro úlohy nestlačitelného proudění / Efficient scalable solvers for incompressible flow problems

Mitro, Erik January 2020 (has links)
In this thesis, the different solution methods for saddle-point systems aris- ing from fluid dynamics are studied. The main emphasis is on Krylov subspace methods with effective preconditioning techniques for saddle-point systems ob- tained from finite element discretization of the Navier-Stokes equations. Two preconditioning techniques are presented: pressure-convection-diffusion precon- ditioning (PCD) and least-square commutator preconditioning (LSC). Both pre- conditioners are validated on two benchmarks: lid-driven cavity and flow around cylinder. From the computational point of view, we focus on comparing the performance of used solvers, with emphasis on our implementation of PCD pre- conditioning. All numerical simulations are performed by software Firedrake. 1

Vývoj výkonných vrtacích nástrojů s využitím CAD/CAM a analýzy mechanismu tvorby třísky / ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE DRILLING TOOLS BY MEANS OF CAD/CAM AND ANALYSIS OF CHIP FORMATION MECHANISM

Madaj, Martin January 2013 (has links)
This document deals with the development of drilling tools by means of CAD and CAE technologies. At first, a brief overview of various design procedures of 3D drill models is presented, possibilities of measurement of force and moment loading during drilling are mentioned, a chip formation mechanism is briefly described and then a list of commonly used explicit (mesh) finite element methods used for cutting simulations is presented. A meshless SPH method have been selected for this work. Although it is able to handle the large deformations easily, it has been used for cutting simulations very rarely and only an orthogonal cutting simulations related information can be found in scientific databases. It has been demonstrated on the orthogonal cutting simulation of A2024-T351 alloy that was also the starting point for SPH simulation of drilling. The following is a decription of the design, simulation and prototyping of new drilling tools - drills with three and two cutting edges and an internal chip channel. This document is focused in detail on the variant with two cutting edges for which SPH drilling simulation has also been performed. Some drawbacks related to more precise chip simulation demands have been revealed, especially a rapid increase in number of SPH elements followed with prolongation of a computational time. Information related to the design of the drilling head with two cutting edges were then used to create the patent application.

Induction of ABCA1 Expression Is Correlated With Increased CREB Phosphorylation and Altered Cytokine Secretion

Zaid, Maryam 18 April 2011 (has links)
ABCA1 is believed to affect macrophage inflammatory responses, but the mechanism by which ABCA1 may impact cytokine secretion in macrophages has yet to be fully defined. We observed that the induction of ABCA1 expression in three different cell lines, namely BHK, RAW 264.7 macrophages, and primary bone marrow derived macrophages (BMDMs), results in a significant increase in phosphorylated CREB, a known protein kinase A (PKA) substrate. In RAW macrophages, induction of ABCA1 expression by the LXR-agonist T0901317 is correlated with a decrease in LPS-stimulated secretion of proinflammatory cytokines IL-6 and TNF-α. Additionally, the secretion of anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 was increased upon ABCA1 induction. A similar trend was observed in BMDMS: ABCA1-expressing BMDMs released less TNF-α and more IL-10 compared to ABCA1-knockout BMDMs. We speculated that the inflammation modulating effects of ABCA1 in macrophages could be a result of PKA activation. Indeed, we found that the LXR-induced ABCA1 phenotype can be mimicked by cAMP in macrophages. 8-bromo-cAMP, a PKA activator, dose-dependently suppressed inflammatory cytokine secretion while promoting IL-10 release in the absence of ABCA1 expression. Finally, we found that the T0901317-induced ABCA1 expression is correlated with higher expression levels of MKP-1, a downstream target of PKA known to suppress inflammatory responses. Together, our results suggest that ABCA1 expression may activate PKA and CREB and that such activation may contribute to the inflammatory modulating effects of ABCA1.

Švietimo sistemos mokomosios programinės įrangos specializuotos duomenų bazės projektavimas ir tyrimas / The Specialization Database Design and Analysis of Training Software in Education System

Mežanskienė, Gintarė 10 September 2004 (has links)
Educational institutions make the biggest impact to the foundation of the information society. School participates in bringing up the competent citizen of the information community. According to international research, modern training tools may enhance the teaching and learning process: applying information and communication technologies (ICT) in the education process is tended to improve children results, atitudes and their relationships with teachers and coevals. „Create conditions for software industry producers and suppliers to prepare and suggest computer training appliances (CTA), for teachers and pupils to choose good quality CTA, which satisfies their demands“ is one of the main „Computer training appliances supply for schools (CTA)“ strategy goals. After the current situtation analysis, this work suggests the decision to put this method into practice. Database model and it's managing software, dedicated to remote users, was implemented. This software realizes database of CTA information review, comprehensive search engine, database managing operations (insert, remove, editing) using the internet browser.
