Rybář Holubová, Eliška January 2018 (has links)
Freedom of Speech and its Postmodern Challenges in Perspectives of European and American Theory and Case Law Abstract This dissertation entitled Free Speech and its Postmodern Challenges in Perspectives of European and American Theory and Case Law joins a vibrant conversation about the changing nature of free speech in the digital era. The internet, both as a communication technology and a multimedia platform, has fundamentally transformed the world around us: political, legal, media, economic and other important dimensions of our postmodern society. As internet expanded and became almost omnipresent, it also emerged as an essential domain for freedom of speech, becoming a new public square, newspapers, radio and TV. This new and inter- connected digital cosmopolis introduced brand-new legal challenges, reflecting the inherent tension between the global virtual community and local legal rules and systems. The purpose of this disseration is to modestly contribute to the current discourse and to introduce some complexities of this brave new world of digital free speech. The internet, particularly Internet 2.0 in the era of social networks, redefined the rules of the game, transformed the field as well as the players. The new pluralist model of digital free speech can be portrayed as a structure with complex...

Právo být zapomenut - právo na soukromí v internetovém věku / Right to be Forgotten - Right to Privacy in the Internet Age

Váňa, Jan January 2019 (has links)
Right to be Forgotten - Right to Privacy in the Internet Age Abstract The first chapter of the diploma thesis aims to identify the threats to human privacy and forgetting that were brought on by the advancements in the field of information and communication technology in the recent decades. Both privacy and forgetting have important functions in the life of the individual, as well as on the societal level. The protection of those functions, whose analysis can be found in the second chapter of the diploma thesis, is one of the basic tasks of modern, liberal and democratic societies. Unless we want to leave the evolution of our civilization up to the technological developments and their often unforeseen (and unforeseeable) consequences, it is imperative that we systematically evaluate their impact on society. Such evaluations should then serve as bases for devising regulation (both legal and non- legal) that would eliminate or at least mitigate the identified societal threats. In the context of human privacy and forgetting, one of the outcomes of such an impact assessment and regulatory consideration is the right to be forgotten. This right can be seen as a legal instrument protecting the informational aspect of human privacy, or rather the informational self-determination of individuals, in the new reality...

Vinařství Mikulov / Winery Mikulov

Vlček, Martin January 2015 (has links)
MIKULOV WINERY U Lomu Wine proposal is bound to a place I know well from my childhood - the house in Mikulov under Turoldem. The house where my grandparents lived for many years and have built their homes and facilities. Idea of my diploma work is in the design winery, which would continue in both local and family tradition. In addition to a family house with housing the winemaker and his family (private part), there would have been even wine production focused on quality rather than quantity (production part). The design includes a raised corner object that represents the winery itself - tavern with an observation gallery offering local wines and dishes. It is tied to a large garden with flowering fruit trees, pergola with barbecue and seating. In the vicinity of the summer garden is designed smaller square that embrace houses, which offer private accommodation for lovers of culture and others. They are designed as double duplex units with views of the city skyline Mikulov. The object at the head of the square acts as a barrier on the ground. Story building is underground operationally linked to the cellar, where wine tasting will take place for a larger group of wine lovers drink in a separate vaulted room under the ground. The spaces between the square and on the corner object applies water element - copper well supplied with water from the spring. Instead of symbolically linked with copper, which refers to the settlement of this landscape in the Neolithic (the time of copper). Overall, the project reflects the potential of the place and reflects the traditional method of farming into a contemporary winery.
