This thesis is focused on occurrence of specific learning disorders among primary education pupils in the selected basic schools and teachers'work with these pupils. The theoretical part of the thesis aims on delimitation of specific learning disorders; diagnostics; re-education; and potentional learning possibilities. Practical part analyses teachers' preparedness for specific learning disorders in the regions of Hradec Králové and Prague. Data were collected by means of questionnaire method. The thesis' objective is to discover a frequency and type of learning disorders occurring in the selected basic schools; how are teachers prepared for the issue of specific learning disorders among basic school pupils; and what methods are used in education of pupils with learning disorders. Secondary objective is to discover a share of pupils with learning disorders in inspected classrooms. Examined data showed that teachers have necessary professional qualities for education of pupils suffering from learning disabilities.

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of written expression of pupils in relation to their region and the type of schools in which they are educated. It also deals with spelling skills of pupils with specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills. The theoretical part summarizes the findings relating to the development of writing skills. It describes two basic developmental models, as well as the diagnostics of spelling. The research part consists of two assessment methods such as the quantitative methodology and the qualitative research methods which summarize the level of spelling skills contained in the research sample. The diagnosis revealed that both of the assessment methods are reliable and comparable for the diagnosis of the specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills and their outputs. The research revealed lower scores amongst pupils in the region who were included in the conducted tests used for the research. This research helped to define similarities and differences in spelling skills between socially disadvantaged pupils and pupils with specific developmental disorders of scholastic skills. The aim of the diploma thesis is to highlight the importance of a teaching assistant in terms of contribution to the educational process for pupils with SVP at primary level. The theoretical part of the thesis is based on the issue of pupils with special educational needs. It reflects the current trend of education, which is based on the uniform rights of all to education, especially in the case of differences, whether health or social, and describes inclusive approaches to education. The inclusion is based on the cooperation of selected actors - the pupil, school management, teachers, their assistants, legal representatives and representatives of counseling facilities, so the theoretical part also touches on this issue. It also contains the characteristics of pupils with SVP and summarizes the disabilities, social and health disadvantages that entitle the pupil to the assignment of a teaching assistant. From the professional point of view, the teaching assistant approaches the profession, the necessary education to perform the profession, the historical development in terms of the occurrence of this profession in teaching and at the same time capture the development of the importance of this role. The diploma thesis deals with the readiness of teachers for inclusive education at primary schools and mainly focuses on the issues of approaching pupils with dysortography. The theoretical part summarizes the results of research focused on teachers' attitudes to inclusion, their needs in this area and perception of readiness to work in a heterogeneous class. Furthermore, the thesis contains the importance of inclusion and its definition, various types of views on inclusion, levels of inclusive education and legislative measures. In the next part the thesis concentrates on the difference between social exclusion and inclusion, deals with the issues of the support of pupils with special educational needs and defines approaches of individual groups towards the educational process. It also focuses on inclusion in primary school and competences of the inclusive teacher and last but not least on different specifics of pupils with specific learning disabilities, namely pupils with dysortography. This work deals with the topic of communication skills of pupils with specific learning disabilities. It is divided into theoretical and practical part and consists of four chapters. In the first chapter, the author deals with specific learning disabilities, attention is paid mainly to four types of specific learning disabilities, namely dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysortography and dyspraxia. The second chapter belongs to the language levels. The third chapter is devoted to the issues of language acquisition by a child. The fourth chapter describes the research itself, which was carried out for this thesis. The research is of a qualitative nature and its main goal is to analyze the communication skills of pupils with specific learning disabilities with a focus on language levels. This diploma thesis examines the influence of specific learning disabilities on the gross motor skills of pupils at primary schools. The primary objective is to find out which specific learning disability affects gross motor skills and thus may have an impact on physical education difficulties. To achieve the primary goal, I chose a partial goal, which is to find out whether over the past ten years has increased or decreased the number of pupils with specific learning disabilities in primary schools. The secondary objective is to determine the awareness of PE teachers in primary schools about the issue of specific learning disabilities and to consider pupils in physical education lessons if they experience specific learning disabilities. The analysis of literature and questionnaire will be used to achieve these goals. The questionnaire survey was carried out by means of an electronic questionnaire, which was filled in by 55 respondents from primary schools in the Central Bohemia Region. The thesis deals with the comparison of standardized testing, and dynamic diagnostics of pupils with specific learning disabilities while using the Rey-Osterrieth complex figure. The implementation of research is based on the theoretical part, which consists of two large areas. The specific learning disabilities with the primary focus on dyslexia as one of the special educational need are characterised in the thesis. The theoretical part provides thorough clarification of the individual disabilities as well as the enumeration and explanation of the re- educational approaches towards the specific learning difficulties aimed at the process of teaching English as a foreign language. The qualitative research conducted on the second stage of the basic school constitutes the empirical part of the thesis. The major aim of tracing the needs of the learners with dyslexia was achieved by combining the results of the analysis of the textbooks and the self-created worksheets, observations from the lessons and the interviews with the participants. The main research question, discussing the degree of appropriateness and suitability of the created material in opposition to the regularly used textbooks, was answered in favour of the designed worksheets. Moreover, the thesis provides well-structured and comprehensive summary of the recommendations to enhance the learning process of the learners with dyslexia.
