Title of diploma thesis: CHANGES OF LIPID SPECTRUM DURING BODY MASS REDUCTION IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS The thesis deals with the determination of lipid parameters (plasma total fatty acids, plasma total cholesterol, lipoprotein cholesterol, plasma triglycerides, plasma cholesterol precursors (lathosterol and squalene) and markers of cholesterol absorption (β-sitosterol and campesterol)) in obese patiens with diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2 who were tested with a seven-day fasting, followed by low-calorie diabetic diet. It is assumed that weight loss should improve insulin resistence. The aim of this work is to evaluate the lipid parameters during the body weight reduction in obese patients suffering with diabetes mellitus. Lipids were determined before and after a seven-day fasting and after one month from the beginning of fasting (in patiens with diabetes mellitus type 1 also after one year). The diploma work is focused on situation and function of Czech mobile providers market. The theoretical background is based on Ronald Coase's findings. The functionality of theoretical hypothesis is verified and further discussed on the basis of foreign telecommunication markets. Different real economics provide valuable experience concerning identification of possible assets and problems. The acquired information is consequently used for analysis of Czech mobile market. Next to the evaluation of the current situation the focus is given to the planned auction of frequencies. Conditions of this auction are described and the potential influence to future Czech mobile providers market is monitored.

The interplay between spectrum and structure of graphs is the recurring theme of the three more or less independent chapters of this thesis. The first chapter provides a method to relate the eigensolutions of two matrices, one being the principal submatrix of the other, via an arbitrary annihilating polynomial. This is extended to lambda-matrices and to matrices the entries of which are rational functions in one variable. The extension may be interpreted as a possible generalization of other known techniques which aim at reducing the size of a matrix while preserving the spectral information. Several aspects of an application in order to reduce the computational costs of ordinary eigenvalue problems are discussed. The second chapter considers the straightforward extension of the well known concept of equitable partitions to weighted graphs, i.e. complex matrices. It provides a method to divide the eigenproblem into smaller parts corresponding to the front divisor and its complementary factor in an easy and stable way with complexity which is only quadratic in matrix size. The exploitation of several equitable partitions ordered by refinement is discussed and a suggestion is made that preserves hermiticity if present. Some generalizations of equitable partitions are considered and a basic procedure for finding an equitable partition of complex matrices is given. The third chapter deals with isospectral and unitary equivalent graphs. It introduces a construction for unitary equivalent graphs which contains the well known GM-switching as a special case. It also considers an algebra of graph matrices generated by the adjacency matrix that corresponds to the 1-dimensional Weisfeiler-Lehman stabilizer in a way that mimics the correspondence of the coherent closure and the 2-dimensional Weisfeiler-Lehman stabilizer. The algebra contains the degree matrix, the (combinatorial, signless and normalized) Laplacian and the Seidel matrix. An easy construction produces graph pairs that are simultaneously unitary equivalent w.r.t. that algebra.

Das Thema dieser Arbeit ist die spektraltheoretische Untersuchung von zufälligen Operatoren, die zu einem minimal ergodischen bzw. strikt ergodischen Delone dynamischen System assoziiert sind. Es werden kontinuierliche sowie diskrete Modelle untersucht. Diese Modelle sind mathematische Modelle zur Beschreibung von Festkörpern, bei denen die Punkte der einzelnen, in einem Delone dynamischen System enthaltenen, Delone-Mengen die Atompositionen eines Festkörpers beschreiben. Delone-Mengen, die in einem minimal ergodischen Delone dynamischen System enthalten sind weisen eine sehr hohe Ordnungsstruktur auf, sind aber nicht notwendigerweise periodisch. Sie können daher zur Modellierung von Quasikristallen verwendet werden. In dieser Arbeit wird das Spektrum der assoziierten Operatoren im kontinuierlichen sowie im diskreten Fall untersucht.

I investigated the differences in male and female foraging behavior of the african carpenter bee Xylocopa flavescens (Hymenoptera: Apidae). This species is important big pollinator in study area as observed. The pollen loads from the 20 male and 20 female bees were compared for the analysis of the foraging pattern. The principal differences and trends were found for the range of flowers visited by each sex.
