Bakgrund: Sexuellt våld mot kvinnor är ett omfattande samhällsproblem som leder till allvarliga konsekvenser. Samhällets attityder gentemot kvinnor skapar ett stigma som resulterar i att de är mer utsatta vilket speglar statistiken över fall av sexuellt våld. Många kvinnor är oroliga över hur de kommer bli bemötta när de söker vård. Syfte: Syftet var att belysa hur kvinnor som blivit utsatta för sexuellt våld upplever bemötandet inom vården. Metod: Studiens design var en allmän litteraturstudie där tio originalartiklar hittades och användes till grund för resultatet. Resultat: Resultatet presenterades i fem huvudkategorier: kvinnornas upplevelser av sjuksköterskornas attityder, upplevelser av brister i kommunikationen, upplevelser av försämrad tillit till vården, upplevelsen av att inte få adekvat vård och behov av utbildning och kunskap. Huvudfyndet i resultatet visade att det fanns brister i bemötandet då sjuksköterskornas fördomar och attityder påverkar bemötandet gentemot de sexuellt utsatta kvinnorna vilket resulterade i en bristfällig vård. Konklusion: Slutsatsen är att det behövs mer kunskap kring kvinnornas upplevelser av bemötandet samt mer komplex utbildning kring sjuksköterskans attityder och fördomar för att en förändring ska kunna ske. Detta för att sexuellt utsatta kvinnor ska få en bättre och mer heltäckande vård. / Background: Sexual violence against women is a widespread social issue that leads to serious consequences. The societal attitudes towards women creates a stigma of them being more vulnerable, which in turn reflects on the statistics of sexual violence cases. Many women have concerns about how they will be treated when seeking care. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze how women who have been exposed to sexual violence experience the treatment in healthcare. Method: The design of the study was a general literature study where ten original articles were retrieved and used as the basis for the results. Results: Based on the ten scientific articles, five main categories were presented: the women’s experiences of the nurses’ attitudes, experiences of lack in communication, experiences of decreased trust in healthcare, the experience of not receiving adequate healthcare and need of education and knowledge. The main finding in the results showed that there are absent of proper treatment as the nurses’ prejudices and attitudes affect the nurse’s approach towards the sexually assaulted women and this results in poor healthcare. Conclusion: The conclusion is that more research is needed into the nurse’s attitudes and prejudices for a change to take place. In this way sexually assaulted women will receive better and more comprehensive care.
