Evaluation of tree crown detection with various spatial resolutions of aerial imagesMiklas, Vojtěch January 2015 (has links)
This work reviewed various tree detection and delineation algorithms and developed another one for ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software. This algorithm which employs the principles of local maxima filtering and region growing technique was enhanced by successfully applying NDVI index. Consequently, this algorithm was tested on 11 sample plots. These plots were located in the forest stand 187 C 10a (according to Forest Management Plan 2013 - 2022) in the forest section Proklest which belongs to the forest district Habrůvka in The Training Forest Enterprise Masaryk Forest Křtiny. The results were consequently, evaluated using these 6 different spatial resolutions: 10 cm, 20 cm, 40 cm, 60 cm, 80 cm and 100 cm. This evaluation was based on the comparison with manually vectorised 1,560 tree crowns. Spatial resolution of 40 cm provided the most accurate results for tree counting. At a standard deviation of 7.8 %, the accuracy reached 98 % of the reference layer. In the case of tree crown delineation, the most accurate results were provided for the spatial resolution of 80 cm. The accuracy reached 103 % with standard deviation of 9.6 %.

Vícestupňové vnořené vzdálenosti v stochastické optimalizaci / Multistage nested distance in stochastic optimizationHorejšová, Markéta January 2018 (has links)
Multistage stochastic optimization is used to solve many real-life problems where decisions are taken at multiple times, e.g., portfolio selection problems. Such problems need the definition of stochastic processes, which are usually approxim- ated by scenario trees. The choice of the size of the scenario trees is the result of a compromise between the best approximation and the possibilities of the com- puter technology. Therefore, once a master scenario tree has been generated, it can be needed to reduce its dimension in order to make the problem computation- ally tractable. In this thesis, we introduce several scenario reduction algorithms and we compare them numerically for different types of master trees. A simple portfolio selection problem is also solved within the study. The distance from the initial scenario tree, the computational time, and the distance between the optimal objective values and solutions are compared for all the scenario reduction algorithms. In particular, we adopt the nested distance to measure the distance between two scenario trees. 1

Meta-analysis of methodological artifacts of the phylogenetic imbalance. / Meta-analysis of methodological artifacts of the phylogenetic imbalance.SMRČKOVÁ, Jana January 2011 (has links)
The influence of possible methodological artifacts (e.g. type of data or tree construction methods) on the tree topology was evaluated. A total of 413 phylogenetic trees was downloaded from the tree repository TreeBASE. Three indices of topology imbalance were employed, namely, Fusco & Cronk index, weighted average, and Colless index. The study reveals that methodological artifacts have probably a weak influence on the tree shape. Therefore, patterns in tree balance could reflect macroevolutionary processess, not a methodological bias.

Design of Application for Assessing the Height of Trees in Forest Stands Based on Images from an Unmanned Aerial VehicleMachala, Martin January 2016 (has links)
Various remote sensing methods are being utilized to assess fundamental properties of forest stands, such as the height of trees, already for decades. Nevertheless, the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in the combination with Structure from Motion software for these purposes, experiences its boom right now and thus not many pertinent studies exist yet. Such system producing image-based point clouds was utilized in this work to gain the canopy elevation data. To identify individual trees and to extract their height from these remote sensing data, a unique software tool called 'UAV Forest Explorer' was developed. Twenty forest study plots was established to acquire the field measurements ground truth data about almost 1 500 trees to thoroughly test the tool and calculate demanded statistics. The research proved, that the tool is fully applicable on all types of forest stands.

Deformační analýza kmene při káceníVeselý, Jiří January 2019 (has links)
This work deals with strain analysis of tree during felling. The main goal is to describe the origin of the deformation field. Another aim is to explain the effect of individual cuts on the size of deformation forces. Two relatively new methods in the field of wood are used to investigate the experimentally, namely digital image correlation (DIC) and finite element method. The work deals with methodical foundations for tree research during its felling. The DIC method measured seven trees in the forest when felling. Using the results obtained by this experiment, the numerical model was validated. This comparison suggested higher rigidity of the body using the finite element method compared to the actual tree, but the reaction was similar. With respect to the higher stiffness, the model was used to describe the deformation field inside the tree and to describe the effect of each cut on this field. The thesis also draws attention to the methodological errors that can occur during felling and which have been described in the experiment. Another output is an indication of the direction in which further measurements should be made and the errors that occurred during this measurement to avoid repetition.

Akcelerace adversariálních algoritmů s využití grafického procesoru / GPU Accelerated Adversarial SearchBrehovský, Martin January 2011 (has links)
General purpose graphical processing units were proven to be useful for accelerating computationally intensive algorithms. Their capability to perform massive parallel computing significantly improve performance of many algorithms. This thesis focuses on using graphical processors (GPUs) to accelerate algorithms based on adversarial search. We investigate whether or not the adversarial algorithms are suitable for single instruction multiple data (SIMD) type of parallelism, which GPU provides. Therefore, parallel versions of selected algorithms accelerated by GPU were implemented and compared with the algorithms running on CPU. Obtained results show significant speed improvement and proof the applicability of GPU technology in the domain of adversarial search algorithms.

Rizika skladování zásob náhradních dílů strojů a strojního zařízení ve výběhu / Risk of spare part of machines and equipment inventory control in decommissioningJirka, Lukáš January 2016 (has links)
This thesis deals with design of a suitable approach for managing the supply of spare parts for machines approaching decommissioning. The appropriate balance between outstanding risks related to equipment downtime and costs of holding spare parts is predicted by proposed systematic algorithm. Determination of key parameters affecting the whole process of spare parts inventory management and their subsequent use as a basis for Event Tree Analysis lead to finding an optimum set-up, which mitigates the overall impact of the planned reduction in spare parts storage levels. The new approach has a number of advantages including versatility of application for many types of machines, as well as a different outlook on a solution for the current issue in spare parts management.

Důsledky porušení předpisů o dokazování pro účinnost důkazů / The Consequences of Breaching the Rules of Evidence for the Effectiveness of the EvidenceZelenka, Jan January 2020 (has links)
1 The Consequences of Breaching the Rules of Evidence for the Effectiveness of the Evidence Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the phenomenon of ineffective evidence in criminal procedures as a result of a breach the rules of evidence. The aim of the thesis is to submit current regulations about evidence in the Czech legal system, evaluate it and shine a light on certain problems. Can a criminal procedure be just if the essential principles are trampled on and the government breaks the law? Are there any barriers preventing geovernment arbitrariness? This thesis tries to answer these questions by introducing legal institutes based on area of evidence in criminal procedure. Thesis consists of six parts - four chapters, introduction and conclusion. The first chapter deals generally with evidence and its specifics in criminal law. It defines crucial terminology to understand this topic thoroughly and shines a light on principles of evidence. The second chapter revolves around admissibility and especially efficiency of evidence as a result of a breach in the rules of evidence by law enforcement. That breach of evidence has to fulfill a certain level of severity which has an important part in evidence ineffectivity. In the very last part of this chapter the author suggests legislative changes according to a...
