Česká urbanistická tvorba 1938-1948: regionalismus a činnost Zemského studijního a plánovacího ústavu v Brně. / Czech Urbanism 1938 - 1948: Regionalism and Work of the Country Research and Planning Institute in Brno

Pražanová, Eva January 2015 (has links)
The given dissertation presents the work of the Country Research and Planning Institute in Brno and depicts regional tendencies in the Czech urbanism in the 40's. In her paper the author focuses on the period between 1938 and 1948 that marks the active existence of Brno's institute which was the most progressive institution within the field of regional planning in that era and whose activities have never been described sufficiently. The main initiators and authors of the institute concept were Bohuslav Fuchs, Jindřich Kumpošt and Josef Mrkos; later a significant figure of the Czech regional planning - Emanuel Hruška joined them. The dissertation defines the urbanistic works of the specified period as continuance of the previous development forcibly interrupted in 1948. In order to understand the motives for the regional planning, this paper outlines the principal idealistic concepts of the planners: criticism of liberalism, holism, technocracy, and redefinition of so called scientific stage of functionalism related to the problem of mental functions in the architecture. After introducing the regional planning in the world and Czechoslovakia at the beginning of the 40's the history, concept and functioning of Brno's institute is presented, including analyses of its main projects. Motivace středoškolských studentů ke školní práci / Motivation of High School Students for School Work

Fiedlerová, Lucie January 2016 (has links)
Many secondary school teachers are currently facing students' lack of interest in the subjects taught. Research findings have also repeatedly shown that students' motivation for school work decreases as the length of the studies increases. Furthermore, students' level of motivation reaches a very low level during adolescence despite the fact that many of them make choices regarding their future careers. This thesis focuses on the relation between the motivation of students for school work and the attitudes and skills of teachers - their educational styles, and whether the relationship between students and them is positive or negative. The theoretical part of this paper introduces and describes the above mentioned concepts - educational styles and motivation - or more precisely, what kinds of motivation there are, and how these affect not only the learning process itself, but also the performance, results, and performance goals, all of which are closely linked. The practical part consists of a research investigation focused on verifying the link between students' motivation for school work and the educational styles used by their teachers. Key words motivation, education style, adolescence, achievement goals, academic achievements, learning process, teacher, secondary school student

Přínosné ztráty: Životní strategie a vyjednávání identity mezi indickými transmigranty v australském Melbourne / The Benefits of Loss: Life Strategies and Negotiations of Identity amongst Indian Transmigrants in Melbourne, Australia

Slavková, Markéta January 2011 (has links)
My thesis The Benefits of Loss: Life Strategies and Negotiations of Identity amongst Indian Transmigrants in Melbourne, Australia is a study of a community of transmigrants of prevailingly Indian origin who immigrated to Melbourne Australia. The majority of these persons came to Australia on overseas student visas in order to pursue a university education; this later created an opportunity for them to obtain permanent residency in Australia through The General Skilled Migration program. This specific migration flow of persons with high skill and education has been supported by the Australian government in the last decade as a reaction to the increased mobility of population in the globalized world. The study focuses on the life strategies and negotiations of particular individuals attempting to show how these global trends are mediated in specific stages of their lives. At the centre of my interest lies a social network of 14 friends who constitute a transnational community in Melbourne, their motivations of migration, the stories capturing their experiences of the migration process, life strategies in the territory of a foreign nation-state and everyday negotiations of both individual and collective identity.

Specifika elektronických studijních opor v systému řízeného samostudia / Specifics of electronic learning supports in the system of controlled self-study

Herout, Lukáš January 2015 (has links)
This dissertation thesis deals with the exploration of the issue of electronic learning supports intended to boost controlled self-study within university environment. This paper proceeds from the presumption that electronic learning supports are a suitable tool with a didactic potential in education which will make university self-study more effective and which will help students to meet the demanded requirements even more effectively than with commonly used learning materials. The paper deals with the definition of conceptual constructs from the field of electronic learning supports and also with the analysis of their didactic capabilities, limits and ways of usage with added specification of functional and didactic aspects of audio-visual learning supports. The empiric part of the paper uses a pedagogic experiment to verify the influence of the electronic learning supports on the university student's results within the controlled self-study. The paper complexly develops the theory of electronic learning supports from the point of view of current didactic resource and its inclusion into current structures of pedagogy and didactics.

Didaktické aspekty e-learningu ve vzdělávání dospělých / Didactic aspects of e-learning in adult education

Kalinová, Aneta January 2014 (has links)
TITLE: Didactic aspects of e-learning in adult education AUTHOR: Aneta Kalinová DEPARTMENT: Department of Primary Education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Nataša Mazáčová, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The thesis work has resulted from the systematization of theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge in the field of e-learning education both in the context of adult education. Its target was a complex conception of e-learning education in its wider view with focus on lifelong education, gradually zooming in on the particularities of co-directing of learning satisfying adult learners' education needs with elaborate online learning supports and a tutor's support. It presents a row of arguments and reasons for the need of pursuing the e-learning education especially in the context of lifelong education and also seeking the advantages, regularly following and evaluating as well as improving the design of online learning supports and tutors' activities in this education sphere. Based on the empiric data gained in a questionnaire research the work tries to penetrate the field of learning aspects of the online learning supports and tutoring and to follow some aspects of the respondents' behaviour which influence their perception of the learning aspects. The lack of systematic studies focused on finding the correlations is the main...
