The subject of this dissertation are selected issues of legal regulation of the environmental impact assessment. The dissertation aims to assess the legislation from the viewpoint of efficiency of an environmental protection against the negative impacts of projects on the environment and public health. The dissertation is divided into four chapters further divided into subchapters. The first two chapters are focused on a development of an EIA institute since its start, as well as international, European subsequently Czech incorporation into legislation. The third chapter examines the term of subsequent procedure as a fundamental condition for defining the set of rights and obligations in the proceedings in which projects should be allowed. The last chapter is a comprehensive overview of the various forms of public participation and opportunities for the public to enforce their interests in the assessment of the effects of projects on the environment.

本研究主要探討股利宣告與公司股價間之關係。在觀測股利政策對股價影響時,必須注意的是股利宣告是否為投資者所完全預期,若是,則股利宣告日之股價反應已非股利影響所致;反之,若投資人無法預期公司股利之宣告,則在宣告日的股價反應,應可解釋為投資者在考慮對其財富之影響並綜合其預期效果後,對股利政策所作出的真實反應。
本研究為淨化及觀測股利政策對公司價值真正影響,藉由篩檢樣本方式,試圖找出非預期股利之宣告效果;依據此研究目的,選出兩組樣本: (1)首次股利組:上市以前三年皆未發放現金股利,於上市後首次宣告現金股利之公司及上市後長達六年以上未發放現金股利,首次發放現金股利的公司,(2)後續股利組:上市以前三年皆發放現金股利,於上市後首次發放現金股利之公司,進行相關實證工作獲得以下四點結果:
一、市場上對於首次股利宣告之資訊,有效率地利用並立即反應於事件日的股價上,符合半強式效率市場假說;而後續股利則未符合。
二、就事件日(董事會決議之次日,即刊載於報紙當日)之股票平均異常報酬率而言,首次股利組其事件日之股票平均異常報酬率達統計上顯著性,而後續股利組,則未達統計顯著性。而且,兩組之股票平均異常報酬率具顯著差異。
三、就股利預期模式而言,一般投資者對首次利似乎無所預期或存在較少預期,而後續股利似乎存在著某種程度的預期。
四、首次宣告股利之公司,其宣告日所屬年度之盈餘皆大於前一年、前二年之盈餘,但未達統計上之顯著水準。

The impact of lentil and field pea seeding rates on dinitrogen fixation and subsequent nitrogen benefits in an organic cropping systemUsukh, Boldsaikhan 15 April 2010
There is a demand for new recommendations for pulse seeding rates that will meet the needs of organic farmers. This study was conducted to determine the impact of seeding rate on N2 fixation and N accumulation in lentil and pea and to examine the impact of different seeding rates of lentil and pea on the productivity and N-uptake (i.e., N benefit) in a subsequent wheat crop.<p>
The study was performed between 2005 and 2007. Two sites were selected each year of the two-year experiment on certified organic farms in central Saskatchewan. At each location, lentil (<i>Lens culinaris</i> L.) cultivar CDC Sovereign and field pea (<i>Pisum sativum</i> L.) cultivar CDC Mozart were each seeded at five different rates. Wheat (<i>Triticum aestivum</i> L.) cultivar AC Elsa was sown as a non-fixing reference crop at a plant population density of 250 seeds m-2. In the following year, wheat was sown to assess the effect of the pulse seeding rate treatments on the succeeding crop.<p>
The pulse crop seeding rates significantly affected the quantity of N2 fixed of lentil and field pea, although %Ndfa (80 to 88% and 79 to 85% for lentil and pea, respectively) typically was unaffected by seeding rate. Yield parameters of following wheat crop were not affected by the seeding rates of the previous pulses. Typically, N contributions increased with increasing seeding rates of both lentil and pea, but there was no detectable difference in N uptake by the following wheat grown on the both pulse stubble.
The different seeding rates of organically grown lentil and field pea have impacts on the amount of N2 fixed and N contribution to the soil. However, the differences in N remaining in the soil at different seeding rates of the pulse crops were not detectable in the following wheat crop and the soil N in the following year.

Room and Elevated Temperature Constitutive Response of Polycrystalline Materials Exhibiting Tension-Compression Asymmetry under Monotonic LoadingGhaffari Tari, Dariush January 2014 (has links)
A continuum plasticity yield function is developed that captures tension/compression asymmetry and its evolution as exhibited by HCP materials such as magnesium alloy sheet. The model, referred to herein as “CPB06ex3ev”, is based upon the CPB06 [1] yield surface which is extended in this research to consider evolution of asymmetry and anisotropy under monotonic loading. The model is further modified to incorporate thermal softening and strain rate effects.
Mechanical characterization experiments are performed to acquire uniaxial tensile and compressive stress-strain data along a range of in-plane and through-thickness loading orientations. Experiments are performed for a range of strain rates (0.001-1s-1) and temperatures (23-250°C). A strong, evolving asymmetry is observed at room temperature when comparing tensile and compressive flow stresses and r-values, while asymmetry and anisotropy are reduced dramatically as temperature is increased. AZ31B exhibits moderate strain rate sensitivity at room temperature, however, the rate sensitivity increases with temperature.
The CPB06ex3ev model is applied to simulate AZ31B magnesium alloy sheet. An error minimization scheme is used to fit the yield function and evolution coefficients over the entire data set. The calibrated model is shown to capture the evolving asymmetric/anisotropic response of both flow stresses and r-values in tension and compression, while also fitting the flow stress at the biaxial tension and pure shear locations on the yield locus. The model, which uses three stress transformations, is implemented within a user defined material model (UMAT) and linked to the commercial finite element software LS-DYNA.
In order to assess the finite element implementation of the CPB06ex3ev model, a series of validation experiments were performed and corresponding finite element models were developed: (i) room temperature three-point bending; (ii) elevated temperature (250°C) limiting dome height experiments; and, (iii) warm cup drawing experiments. The three point bend simulations demonstrated the importance of capturing material asymmetry and the associated shift in neutral axis. Comparison between the warm forming experiments and models revealed qualitative agreement between the predicted punch load-displacement and strain distributions. The CPB06ex3ev formulation was able to capture the anisotropy trends in terms of the differences in strains measured along the sheet rolling versus transverse directions.
Beyond the constitutive characterization and modeling effort, the cup draw formability experiments have provided interesting insight into the effect of temperature and temperature distribution within the AZ31B sheet. The current work has served to show the existence of a process window in which the blank center temperature must lie below the die temperature but above the temperature for activation of non-basal slip systems (to avoid low temperature fracture). Two modes of failure have been identified at the process window boundaries in which the cup either fractures due to low temperature (brittle) failure or a high temperature (necking) failure.

This thesis investigates head injuries (HIs) occurring in sports and recreation (SR) that presented to emergency departments (EDs) in Edmonton, Alberta, from April 1st, 1997 to March 31st, 2008. There were 4,950 SR HIs identified over the 11 years (5.13 HIs per 1,000 ED injury visits). Individuals less than 18 years old were 3.4 times more likely, and males were 1.25 times more likely to present with a head injury from SR (p < 0.0001). A history of one or two previous SR HIs increased the odds of subsequent HI by 2.62 and 5.94 times, respectively, while children aged 7 13 and 14 17 were more than four times more likely to sustain a HIs from SR (p < 0.001). The effects of multiple HIs occurring in children participating in SR activities needs to be addressed, due to the chronic neurobehavioral effects of HIs. / Epidemiology
