Vliv stálého světla v rané ontogenezi na cirkadiánní systém v dospělosti / The effect of constant light in early development on the circadian system in the adulthood

Kubištová, Aneta January 2020 (has links)
Long-term exposure to constant light results in desynchronization of the circadian system in an adult and is associated with reduced efficiency of many physiological functions timed to the exact time of day, or with the development of some of the so-called civilization diseases. Constant light in adults also results in deterioration of the cognitive abilities or changes in the sleep structure. The effect of night light on the health of an adult organism is studied mainly in connection with shift work or with light pollution. The question of what effect the increased level of night light has on the development of the organism, especially on the development of the nervous system and the circadian system itself, is less studied. This diploma thesis focused on the identification of the extent of changes in the expression of Per2, Nr1d1, Stat3, BDNF genes, as well as genes encoding NMDA receptor subunits and some tissue-specific genes in the retina. Our experiments were performed on adult Long-Evans rats, that spent the first 20 days of their postnatal development in low-intensity constant light. Changes in expression were determined by quantification of mRNA by RT-qPCR in the structures of the frontal and parietal cortex, olfactory bulb, hippocampus, suprachiasmatic nucleus and retina. Behavioral tests...

Molekulární mechanismy synchronizace fetálních cirkadiánních hodin / Molecular mechanisms of entrainment of the fetal circadian clocks

Lužná, Vendula January 2021 (has links)
In order to adapt to changing external conditions, organisms developed the endogenous biological clock for predicting daily alterations. This so-called circadian system drives functions and processes in the whole body with an approximately 24h period. The central oscillator, located in hypothalamic suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN), is synchronized by light and subsequently sends the information about the time of the day to the rest of the body. Even in the ontogenesis, the functional SCN clock is crucial for proper development as well as health later in life. Since the maturation of embryonic SCN is not completed before birth, maternal signals seem to play a fundamental role in setting and synchronizing the fetal clock. During my PhD studies, we focused on elucidating the nature of maternal signals and their diverse impact on fetal SCN of rat and mouse models. We have revealed that developing SCN is able to sense distinct signals related to various maternal behavioral regimes. Importantly, we have discovered eminent role of glucocorticoids in synchronizing the fetal SCN, along with their ability to accelerate SCN development. These observations point out the importance of regular daily routine and noxious effect of stress during pregnancy. Since the mother communicates with the fetus through placenta...

Synchronizace javascript objektu mezi klienty a serverem / Synchronizing JavaScript object between clients and server

Lehovec, Jakub January 2014 (has links)
The thesis deals with methods of real-time data synchronization among multiple clients. The thesis focuses on methods in collaborative RIA systems running on the Internet This methods solve data transfer and conflict resolution caused by competitive clients work on one document. The introduction describes two methods: an established Operational transformation method and the new Differential synchronization method. The thesis describes the principles of both methods and their advantages and disadvantages. The aim of the work is implementing and comparison of Differential Synchronization method with Operational transformation method. These methods are compared in Node.js environment of JavaScript programming language and it is compared their performance in terms of response time and resource requirements. It's identified a problems associated with the method implementations in Node.js and it is described solutions of this problems. In the practical part thesis focus on the describing of performance data and behave of methods during measurement and refuted or confirmed the premises of methods definition assumptions. The Differential Synchronization method is extended by some parts based on the author often criticized issues of method.

Kvalita kmenových dat a datová synchronizace v segmentu FMCG / Master Data Quality and Data Synchronization in FMCG

Tlučhoř, Tomáš January 2013 (has links)
This master thesis deals with a topic of master data quality at retailers and suppliers of fast moving consumer goods. The objective is to map a flow of product master data in FMCG supply chain and identify what is the cause bad quality of the data. Emphasis is placed on analyzing a listing process of new item at retailers. Global data synchronization represents one of the tools to increase efficiency of listing process and improve master data quality. Therefore another objective is to clarify the cause of low adoption of global data synchronization at Czech market. The thesis also suggests some measures leading to better master data quality in FMCG and expansion of global data synchronization in Czech Republic. The thesis consists of theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part defines several terms and explores supply chain operation and communication. It also covers theory of data quality and its governance. Practical part is focused on objectives of the thesis. Accomplishment of those objectives is based on results of a survey among FMCG suppliers and retailers in Czech Republic. The thesis contributes to enrichment of academic literature that does not focus on master data quality in FMCG and global data synchronization very much at the moment. Retailers and suppliers of FMCG can use the results of the thesis as an inspiration to improve the quality of their master data. A few methods of achieving better data quality are introduced. The thesis has been assigned by non-profit organization GS1 Czech Republic that can use the results as one of the supporting materials for development of next global data synchronization strategy.

Synchronizace času v počítačových sítích / Time Synchronization in Computer Networks

Matoušek, Denis January 2014 (has links)
The master's thesis deals with design of a solution for time synchronization in computer networks that is a crucial problem of many network applications. Based on analysis of protocols for time synchronization, PTP protocol was chosen as an appropriate candidate. The thesis describes the implementation of the design for a special network interface card and demonstrates features of the solution in several tests. A part of the solution processing precise timestamps was implemented in FPGA chip on the network card while PTP messages are processed in a software application. Values of configurable parameters of the application were determined based on analysis of the network card properties and results of particular tests. It was achieved accuracy in order of tens of nanoseconds.
