Sistemas de informação e avaliação de desempenho hospitalar: a integração e interoperabilidade entre fontes de dados hospitalares / Systems of information and evaluation of hospital performance : the integration and interoperability among of hospital data source

Jacson Venancio de Barros 05 September 2008 (has links)
With the technological advance, the valuation of the information, the sped up rhythm of the changes and the globalization, characteristics that make with that the hospitals (they are they, philanthropy, governmental or private), allied to the bigger requirements each time of the patients, increase the search for the quality in the installment of the services. On this excuse, the integrant hospitals of the Only System of Health (SUS), must elaborate its respective Hospital Censuses and present its statistical data to the Health department, based on the definitions of governmental decree no. 312 of 02 of May of 2002. These pointers are not only the necessary ones or important for the hospital management, however they are considered as basic information in an institution of this nature. However, the availability of these information of continuous, sustainable and trustworthy form if has not shown a trivial task, mainly had some factors: lack of register, inadequate and incomplete register, constant lack of standardization in the application of the medical vocabulary and changes in the administrative routines. In considered hospitals of great transport, this problem can take an extension still bigger. Of to be sufficiently complex the Hospital of the Clinics of the College of Medicine of the University of Sao Paulo - HCFMUSP, considered the hospital complex greater of Latin America, with approximately 2,200 stream beds and taking care of in average 6,000 patients per day in the ambulatory, constitutes a good object for case study, therefore it allows that some challenges in relation to the treatment of the information, as for example: sharing, connectivity, interoperability and integration, can appear more of accented way to other hospitals of lesser complexity. According to this boarding, the work also intends to explore the level of contribution of the diverse systems of hospital information used by the hospital in the attainment of the variables, for the composition of information that will be used as base for the administrative cases and evaluation of performance. The high degree of present heterogeneity in the solutions in the domain of health distributed in the different systems of information, points with respect to the necessity to share and changes information between heterogeneous environments. In this vii context, the interoperability has a basic paper, therefore it allows to the communication of transparent form between systems and heterogeneous, independent and distributed environments. Official documents to the systems of health care information and its management in the HCFMUSP had been used in this study relative, beyond acts of meetings of the Committee of Technology of the Information of the hospital (CTI). For the collection of data the technique of interview half-structuralized to the responsible citizens for the Service of Medical Archive was applied - SAME of strategical areas of the hospital and the Nucleus of Information in Health - NIS. The increasing complexity of the health care becomes pressing the necessity of integration of the corporative systems, as well as the adoption of register standards and procedures, however, are not enough to only decide the questions of the technological point of view, the challenge are to work these problems considering all its complexity and articulating different areas, in search of effective results

Knowledge management for propulsion systems integration

Gonsolin, Matthieu January 2013 (has links)
On the one hand, airlines order new planes and the worldwide fleet increases, while, on the other hand, the market pressure, the rise of fuel prices and other factors contribute to regular changes in the technology. These drivers may impact maintenance activities and support to operators, and the number of issues occurring on in-service aircraft. In-service and production queries are a specific type of support activities followed-up by propulsion systems integration engineers from the aircraft manufacturer, such as Airbus. These technical questions can address any of the engine’s systems and must usually be answered to within a short timeframe as they might delay a flight or the delivery of an airplane. In the global scope of knowledge management inside the company, these engineers realized their loss of not capitalizing these activities and promoted this project. An adapted application has been developed to share the experience among programs and support the engineers for the treatment of such queries. As the focus of the project was put on assessing the actual need of the future users to provide an adapted tool, the database should prove its performance over the long term. This paper details the different steps of the project: analysis of the need, specifications, programming and testing, that led to meeting this specific need for capitalization. /
Presentation via videoconference for distance-based students

Mathew, Trini A., Yanov, Sergey A., Mazitov, Rais, Mishustin, Sergey P., Strelis, Aivar K., Yanova, Galina V., Golubchikova, Vera T., Taran, Dmitry V., Golubkov, Alex, Shields, Alan L., Greenfield, Shelly F., Shin, Sonya S. 01 January 2009 (has links)
Alcohol use disorders (AUDs) among tuberculosis (TB) patients are associated with nonadherence and poor treatment outcomes. We developed a multidisciplinary model to manage AUDs among TB patients in Tomsk, Russia. First, we assessed current standards of care through stakeholder meetings and ethnographic work. The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) was incorporated into routine assessment of all patients starting TB treatment. We established treatment algorithms based on AUDIT scores. We then hired specialists and addressed licensing requirements to provide on-site addictions care. Our experience offers a successful model in the management of co-occurring AUDs among patients with chronic medical problems.

Conceptual design and simulated operation of economies of scope and scale manufacturing enterprises

Cui, Zihua January 2011 (has links)
Much of industry is seeking scope economies, but this requires more complex and flexible product realisation. Modelling technologies have potential to support the life cycle engineering of both Economies of Scope and Scale (EoSS) manufacturing systems. However when companies operate in dynamic environments it is not sufficient to model manufacturing systems in isolation. Rather a holistic modelling methodology is needed which can create structural and behavioural models of dependencies between the manufacturing systems, and the business and engineering environments in which they operate; so that a suitable balance between economies of scope and scale can be achieved. This thesis describes the conception and development of a step wised Extended Modelling Methodology (EMM) which facilitates reasoning, and related decision making, about EoSS manufacturing systems. The EMM was conceived from exploratory research in two SMEs, following which it was applied and case tested in a large manufacturing company. Little academic attention to date has been paid to theorising about the link between ‘Economies of Scope and Scale (EoSS) phenomenon' and ‘manufacturing systems design'. Hence many questions about EoSS manufacturing remain unanswered, such as: (1) academic communities need to know what EoSS actually means and how state-of-the-art modelling can support qualitative and quantitative analysis of EoSS system phenomenon; and (2) industry needs to know how they can benefit from EoSS, what attended costs they might incur, and what best balance between scope and scale economies can be achieved. With these general requirements in mind the thesis reports on the conception and industrial application of the EMM. This has: (A) developed new ideas about EoSS, which can be used to characterise EoSS phenomenon; (B) introduced a new way of visualising architectural aspects of EoSS at multiple-levels of abstraction; and (C) with reference to case studies has illustrated the use of multi-level modelling to enable predictions to be made about EoSS benefits and costs.
