Multiparadigmatická výuka společenských věd na střední škole / Multiparadigmatic Teaching of Social Sciences in High School

Charvát, Štěpán January 2021 (has links)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to present a specific type of teaching of social sciences in high school, namely the multiparadigmatic type. In accordance with the multiparadigmatic character of social sciences, this teaching type accentuates the plurality of approaches to a given social topic and does not indoctrinate the learner with one specific approach or paradigm. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis describes the concept of scientific paradigms, mostly on the basis of the findings of philosopher T. S. Kuhn, who addresses this issue in the context of natural sciences. Next, it is explained why the concept of paradigms can be related to social sciences and how these two science areas differ. The multiparadigmatic character of social sciences is then applied to their didactics, where selected methodological aspects of multiparadigmatic teaching are discussed, such as the choice of paradigms, working with them, and the attitude of the teacher. This part of the diploma thesis also illustrates the concepts of monoparadigmatism and multiparadigmatism with the comparison of two didactic manuals and two curricular documents from various environments. Furthermore, it describes the reasons for the employment of multiparadigmatic teaching as well as its conditions and limitations. The...

Sociologie zdraví. Zdraví a média v sociálním kontextu / Sociology of health. Health and media in the social context

Novotný, Tomáš January 2011 (has links)
ABSTRACT /ENG/ Sociology of Health Health and media in the social context Until the middle of the twentieth century, modern scientific medicine had an excellent reputation as a universally effective institution. In recent decades, however, this idea has been called into question, because the public has realised that the idealised image of medicine promised more than it could fulfil. The image of medicine over the past 50 years has changed significantly and today it is closely associated with other areas, including the environment, politics and the economy. The thesis is therefore devoted to current issues of health systems, health information and mass media as a mediator of health information. One reason why we will criticise modern medicine is that the Czech Republic can not cover all the costs associated with caring for patients; others will include lobbies in the health sector, and the general difficulty of comparing the country's quality of health care and research to other countries. For the public, the media, playing a major role in the process of the "secularisation" of medicine, has become the main source of information on health and health care. But the media also has another function: to direct our attention to health issues and...

The dissertation thesis gives a real picture of Czech artistic works from late 1980s to the present day that use the language of Conceptual and Action art for a reflection of current problems in our society. The thesis strives to give a picture of the main themes through which artists reflect on humanity within a current societal system with its various old or new phenomena. The topics and the particular relevant artworks are described in four main chapters that should reveal the working methods or the development of the artists approach or strategies of artistic groups that have simultaneously reflected changes in the Czech art scene for the past 25 years. The prime motives are classical or newborn topics like reflection on motherhood, transformation of the present-day family, attitudes to the phenomenon of age,...
