Metody implementace globálního rozvojového vzdělávání na českých základních školách a nižším stupni gymnázií / Methods of Implementation of the Global Development Education at Czech Primary and Grammar Schools

The master thesis deals with the issue of the Global Development Education. It is focused closer on the description of the implementation methods of this topic into the Czech education system. Global Development Education is not mentioned directly in the Framework Education Programmes of the Czech Republic. Nevertheless the Framework Education Programmes contain it. Global Development Education goes across the Cross-curricular Topics. However that could be the reason why the schools don't pay to it as much attention as it deserves. This thesis describes the ways of implementation of the Global Development Education into the Czech education system and into the teaching in the Czech schools. This work is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and it tries to briefly outline the theoretical background, beginnings of the Global Development Education in the Czech surroundings, curriculum and strategic documents that deals with the issue of the Global Development Education. In the first part there are also mentioned the possibilities how to integrate this topic into the school education programs and into the teaching as well. This diploma thesis focuses on dealing with controversial issues in primary schools. The main aim of this work is to find out why it is appropriate to integrate these issues into teaching, whether it is even possible for primary school pupils to deal with them and how these topics can be taught and integrated. The theoretical part begins by defining the term controversial issue, then it is devoted to developmental presupposition of primary school children for dealing with controversial issues, then how these issues relate to Citizenship and Global Education, and which methods can be used for dealing with controversial issues. Výuka českého jazyka ve scioškolách - případová studie / Czech Language Teaching at Scioschools - a Case Study

This thesis focuses on the teaching of the Czech language at scioschools. The theoretical basis of Czech language didactics and the problematicsof alternative education are discussed in the first part, while the second part characterizes the individual scioschools in terms of their general concept and teaching of Czech language. The thesis is fomulated as a case study and is methodologically based on observation, interviews and document analysis. Its aim is to provide a partial insight into the practice of Czech language teaching at scioschools and to answer how and with what goal is Czech language taught. It analyses whether some innovative methods and forms of work reflecting the current topics of Czech language didactics are applied and whether is there are any unifying concepts of Czech language teaching. While this work provides insight into these issues it concludes that scioschools aim to lead the students to so-called study autonomy. Scioschools do not work with a unified concept of teaching. It find that the current Czech language teaching practice - forms of teaching, application of innovative methods or aims are heavily influenced by the personality, knowledge and experiences of the teacher - tutor. This diploma thesis deals with the area of further education of civil servants at the level of the central government and its aim is to critically evaluate further education at selected departments in connection with the introduction of Act No. 234/2014 Coll., which came into force on the 1st January 2015. The thesis describes how the Civil Service Act influences the further education of central government officials, it outlines the key issues that are related to the education of central government officials and shows what are the problems that central government officials encounter in the field of further education. The research project is the case study, which included public policy documents related to the topic of further education and data collected through in-depth interviews with ten officials of two selected departments and two representatives of the human resources department, was used. Based on the thematic analysis, key issues of further education of central government officials were identified: educational needs, meeting educational needs, sources of information retrieval, and a official exam. Problems encountered by central government officials in the field of further education are part of these issues.

The task of contemporary education is not only to equip pupils with skills and knowledge, but to give them postures and values as well. That is one of the goals of the so-called cross-curricular subjects, which were brought by the education reformation accomplished several years ago. This area is as new for many teachers as it is for pupils and that is the reason why this master thesis was created. It provides basic information about cross-curricular subjects and supplies options for their practical implementation in the education. The theoretical section aims at the characterization of Czech and foreign cross-curricular subjects and their mutual comparison. The research section, among others, contains practical suggestions interconnecting the cross-curricular subjects with natural sciences education, and some of them have been verified in practice. Questionnaire survey follows, finding out the position of high school students towards the cross-curricular subjects and towards key-competence developing activities. Students also expressed their opinion on the practical suggestions application during education in this survey. In conclusion of the study, the observed results were evaluated and compared with the literature and author's opinions.

Vyučovací metody ve výchově ke zdraví / Teaching methods of health education

Aim of this diploma thesis is to provide the reader an insight into the subject of health education. Theoretical part of this thesis defines curriculum and subject didactics. Knowledge of these two documents has impact on the efficient preparation of teaching process. Practical part of this thesis defines five lessons teaching with the use of traditional and activation methods. Teaching part is focused on providing first aid. The realization itself took place on Primary school Korenskeho in Prague 5 in June 2021. Teacher's feedback is submitted for each realized educational method and proposal of possible improvements was suggested. Feedback from pupils was carried out by questionnaires. Pupils rated individual educational methods in terms of efficiency, difficulty and attractivity by five degree scale. Thirty seven pupils from two sixth grades participated in the survey. Collected data from survey were presented in graphs. Results show that pupils prefer learning with activation elements. The most pupular activities among the pupils were training in bandaging and contest Jeopardy. Analysis showed there is a dependency between effectivity and attractivity of the used methods. Output of this thesis is suggestion of preparations of individual lessons and their verification in practice.

The Framework Education Programme for Preschool Education is a legislative curriculum document which establishes the basic requirements for the state preschool education. The educational objectives and requirements are binding for the teachers. However, the way in which those objectives and requirements are met, is fully in the hands of each nursery school. This diploma thesis illustrates one of the possible ways of educating preschool children, namely the dramatic education. The dramatic education is presented here not only as an educational method but also as a style of pedagogical work. This particular style respects individuality and originality of each child with the intention of developing his/her potentials and with the effort to equip the child with necessary social skills. The practical part of the diploma thesis offers insight into the authentic dramatic and educational process which explores topics of human life. During this process, each child goes through a full-fledged personal and social development by means of dramatic activities, which are based on topics of literary text

This thesis deals with the problems concerning cross-curricular subjects, in particular focusing on Multicultural Education and Moral, Character and Social Education, their defining in the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. Furthermore, it outlines the possibility of their interconnection in a concrete project with the topic of Romany. This thesis is based on the conviction of the importance of the transcultural approach to the Multicultural education in practise. It also deals with the character of a teacher mainly in the relation to the above mentioned cross-curricular subjects. The main objective of this thesis is the actual realisation of the project in two selected schools. The project has already been put forward in my bachelor thesis. I committed myself there to the realisation of the project in practise and for that purpose the project itself had to be adjusted, namely shortened due to its time demandingness. The actual evaluation of the project is also a part of the practical section of this thesis.
