Parametry složení těla v závislosti na stupni metabolismu u pacientů s CHOPN / Body composition parameters in dependence on the metabolism degree in patients with COPD

Doleželová, Magdaléna January 2016 (has links)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Student: Magdaléna Doleželová Supervisor of master thesis: PharmDr. Miroslav Kovařík, Ph.D. Title of master thesis: Body composition parameters in dependence on the metabolism degrese in patiens with COPD Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a very serious illness characterized by incompletely reversible airflow obstruction and lung emphysema. Contributes to its overall severity are extrapulmonary manifestations, especially cachexia and loss of lean tissue mass. Chronic inflammation of the respiratory airways and increased respiratory effort cause the hypermetabolic state to some patients with COPD. This thesis investigates the impact of increased metabolism on body composition in patients with COPD. Our study included 50 COPD patients (38 men, 12 women) who were examined by bioelectrical impedance. In this study, we compared the parameters of body composition of men with resting energy expenditure REE > 130% (hereinafter Men over 130%) (n = 9) and the group of men with REE < 130 % (hereinafter Men below 130 %) (n = 29). In the group of Men over 130 % we found a lower average value of body weight by 18 % compared to Men below 130 %. Total body and intracellular water were 12 %...

Vliv chůze naboso na posturální stabilizaci / An influence of barefoot walking on postural stabilization

Pytlová, Lucie January 2016 (has links)
Title: An influence of barefoot walking on postural stabilization Objectives of the thesis: The subject of my diploma thesis is to assess an immediate effect of outside walking on a postural stabilization in two groups throught an experiment. First group of tested subjects (probands) walked barefoot and the other group walked in the conventional shoes. An ambulation took place in outside conditions. The objective of this work is to judge if barefoot walking can have a positive influence on stabilization capabilities of individuals. Farther objective is to judge, if there is a correlation between motor reactions on the tactile stimulation of the soles of the feet and and two walking's manners (shod/unshod). Methods: In this thesis were used a method of anlalysis and a method of comparison in this thesis. The experiment was made in form of pretest (3 measurements) and posttest (3 measurements) on 30 probands. Required data for analysis were obtained by measurements of postural somatooscilography (pSOG). There was evaluated the postural provocation test on the platform of Posturomed. During test was measured a stopping and persistance of one leg stand for the period of 8 seconds. Oscillation curves of platform recorded by an accelerometer and programme Microswing 5.0 were evaluated in programme...

Variabilita znaků lineárního popisu chladnokrevných koní v ČR. / Variability of the linear description of the cold-blooded horses in the Czech Republic

RYBNÍČKOVÁ, Karolína January 2015 (has links)
The aim of the study was to compare the cold-blooded breeds of horses bred in the Czech Republic in terms of variability of shaping the exterior and observe differences among the monitored breeds. It was a breed: Czech-Moravian Belgian horse (CMB), Norick (N)and Silesian Norick horse (SN). Whereas these breeds are originated on a different genetic basis and under different conditions, it is assumed that there is difference between them in the formation of physical characteristics. The results showed that the cold-blooded breeds varies highly statistically in these characters: the withers height measured by tape (WHT), circumference of tibia (CT), type, scope, length of neck, deployment of neck, withers length, length of back, loins length, crop length, the slope of the croup, the width of the body scoop , position of the hind limbs, spaciousness of step. For example, a significant difference among breeds was found in WHT, which has the smallest SN and distinguished it from the other two breeds. Furthermore differs CMB, which has the smallest CT, and thus differs it from N and SN. SN has the longest frame of body and the smallest chest circumference of the studied breeds. The highest deploymentof of neck and the shortest neck was detected in CMB in comparison with N and SN. At an average the longest spine was evaluated in SN and the shortest spine was in the CMB. The best spaciousness of step is evaluation in SN. The correlations among selected characters were monitored too. Strong dependence was found between WHT and WHS (withers height measured by stick) in all three breeds.

Vyhodnocení hmotnosti zvěře ulovené ve vybraných honitbách Konstantinolázeňska / Evaluation of mass game hunted in selected hunting grounds in the area of Konstantinovy lázně

POKORNÝ, Radek January 2017 (has links)
Free-ranging population of sika deer, roe deer and wild board in micro-region "Konstantinolázeňsko" in Czech Republic, has been determining dressed body weight, whole body weight, weight of head, weight of limb and weight of internal organs (heart, lungs, liver, spleen and kidneys). The correlation between all weights was calculated. During the research was determined mean weight between whole body and dressed body. In this study the dressed mean weight of sika deer was 74,03 % of the whole mean weight. For wild board the mean dressed weight was about 78,56% of the whole weight and for roe deer mean it was about 76,66% of the whole weight. Obtain weight has been statistically analyzing of ages, sexuality, seasonal variation. For both sexuality of wild board was statically proven that body weight is increasing with age. For sika deer calfs was statically proven that body weight was higher if the calf was shoot after 15. 1. then cals was shoot before. For sika deer with out age difference was statically proven that sika males had higher body weight than sika females. Other types of statistics are listed in the document.

Naturalizace vědomí a smysl subjektivity / The Naturalization of Consciousness and the Meaning of Subjectivity

Toráčová, Pavla January 2014 (has links)
The thesis deals with the problem of the existence of consciousness in the physical world. It denies the approach that is prevailing in the contemporary philosophy of mind that treats the phenomenal consciousness and intentionality separately. The position held in this thesis is to claim that the phenomenal character of consciousness and intentionality are inseparable and that it is impossible to understand the former without understanding the latter, and vice versa. The problem of the existence of consciousness in the physical world is viewed as the problem of the existence of (conscious) intentionality in the physical world. With the aim to achieve an analysis of intentionality that would keep its phenomenal character and the first person point of view, and, at the same time, shed light on its realization in the physical world, thoughts of Peter Strawson, G. E. M. Anscombe, Tim Crane, Colin McGinn and John Searle are discussed. The result is an outline of intentionality that allows to explain the fundamental level of intentionality as a physical process and the higher levels of intentionality as a development of the fundamental level. Two principles are crucial for this approach: the development of intentionality from the fundamental level to the higher level is comprehensible only if we keep the...

Význam fyzioterapie v prognóze pacientů s Pierre Robinovou sekvencí / The importance of physical therapy in prognosis in patients with Pierre Robin sequence

Sedinová, Monika January 2018 (has links)
Clefts of orofacial komplex are the most common birth development defects. One of them is Pierre Robin sequence, which is characterized by presence of micrognathia, glossoptosis and upper airway obstruction. Because of these symptoms, isolated cleft palate "U" or "V" shaped can be part of the diagnose. Other clinical manifestations are feeding difficulties, obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and / or gastroesophageal reflux disease. The aim of the treatment is to secure the airway and the child's thriving after birth by using conservative or invasive treatment methods. Choosing of methods and procedures should be established by multidisciplinary cooperation. The other part of diploma thesis is trying to find out, which clinical manifestation are the most common in patients from the Czech Republic compare to foreign patients and the differences in management of the treatment. Furthermore we are trying to investigate, whether there is higher percentage of patients with delayed neuromotor development among PRS patients, which are under physical therapy. The last part is trying to find out the relationship between the poor posture and PRS diagnose in children age 4 - 6 years.

Záchyt abdukční kontraktury kyčelního kloubu jako biomechanické příčiny idiopatické skoliózy / Capture of the abduction contracture of the hip joint as a biomechanical cause of idiopathic scoliosis

Mařík, Antonín January 2021 (has links)
Author: Bc. Antonín Mařík Title: Capture of the abduction contracture of the hip joint as a biomechanical cause of idiopathic scoliosis The theme of the thesis is based on lectures and numerous publications by Professor Tomasz Karski, MD, PhD from Lublin, published in international journals (from the 1990s to the present). The work is based on the biomechanical cause of the "so-called idiopathic" scoliosis, the cause of which is considered primarily the restriction of adduction in the right hip joint - so-called an abduction contracture. This contracture is one of the symptoms of "Syndrome of Contracture" according to Prof. Hans Mau (Tübingen, Germany). The years-long prevailing "standing easy" attitude on the right lower limb is a manifestation of the abduction contracture in the right hip joint and the cause of scoliosis in two groups and three types of classification of "biomechanical" scoliosis according to Karski. The main object of the thesis is an objective assessment of the relationship between the abduction contracture of the right hip joint and the idiopathic scoliosis (IS) of the spine in the examined set of probands. Clinical and anthropological examinations were performed in a group of 20 patients with idiopathic scoliosis and 16 control probands, including specialized tests on the...

Vliv steroidních hormonů na pohlavně dimorfní růst kostí gekonů / The effect of steroid hormones on sexually dimorphic bone growth in geckos

Tureček, Adam January 2017 (has links)
The sexual size dimorphism (SSD) is widespread among animals but proximate mechanisms of its ontogeny are still poorly understood even in important groups of vertebrates such as reptiles. Previous experiments in geckos showed that growth of both sexes slows substantially at their older age. Their SSD develops considerably a long time after sexual maturity, it is associated with earlier growth deceleration in the smaller sex and it is controlled by ovarian rather than testicular steroids. The aim of the thesis was to explore the previous knowledge by studying the ontogenesis of the sexually-dimorphic bone growth of the gecko Paroedura picta, the male- larger species with the most explored proximate mechanisms of SSD among geckos. I was most interested in the ontogeny of the growth plates activity and the epiphyseal ossification of the femur in both sexes and their relationship to age, body length, gonadal activity and levels of sex-specific steroids (estradiol and testosterone). The results show that P. picta has determinate growth and that epiphyseal ossification does not contribute to the SSD. The femoral growth plates close at the same age in both sexes; however, their closure occurs at smaller body length in females than in males. In the context of this and the previous studies, estradiol or other...
