[pt] A gerência de redes telefônicas nas modernas concessionáras do chamado Primeiro Mundo têm se apoiado, cada vez mais, sobre sistemas baseados em conhecimento. Esses sistemas inteligentes são apresentados como solução capaz de fazer face às exigências de qualidade e confiabilidade feitas pelos usuários ligados a redes, as quais crescem em dimensão e complexidade, num ritmo jamais visto. Este trabalho incursiona nesse campo e apresenta o projeto, seu desenvolvimento e a implementação, baseada na Programação em Lógica, de um sistema para auxílio à emissão de telecomandos sobre a Rede Nacional de Telefonia, operada pela EMBRATEL. Adicionalmente, apresentamos um levantamento das principais técnicas de obtenção e representação de conhecimento para fins de utilização em computadores eletrônicos. / [en] The management of telephone networks in developed countries hás been based, in a ever-growing scale, on knowledge-based systems. Those intelligent systems have been presented as a means to face the demands in quality and reliability posed by users of those networks, which have been expanding at an uncredibly fast pace. This paper tries to explore this area and presents the project, its development and implement based on Logic Programming, of a system for aiding the sending commands upon the National Telephone Network, operated by EMBRATEL. Additionally we have done a survey of the main techniques for the acquisition and representation of knowledge related to electronic computing

Telepresence is one of the most promising collaboration tools, it allows companies to have meetings with colleagues and clients on the other side of the world giving the feeling that everyone is in the same room. This promising technology allows companies to cut costs, save time and reduce CO2 emission, using the best technology. However one of the biggest Telecom Operators presents disappointing sales figures for the Telepresence service. Through this paper the current state of Telepresence is reviewed, the reasons for not reaching the sales target, and some alternatives are proposed and analyzed. In a large company like TCO many projects are developing and running and there is a lack of focus and resources for all projects, then it is necessary to choose the right option which offers more possibilities to encourage the use of Telepresence within the industry. The resultant solution is Telepresence Public Rooms, after that economic feasibility analysis is performed, and a technique to choose the best location to install the service is done. Finally, a rank of the most suitable cities to install the Public Rooms is presented in the company of other recommendation. In the future this study can be improved with an algorithm with variable costs and revenues for each candidate city, and adding the direct benefit in the sales of Telepresence rooms, brand awareness, synergies with the vendors, and use economies of scale to offer a better service with a lower cost. / INDEK 2011:82

First part of this graduation theses "Fundamental and technical analysis of the Telefonica O2 Czech Republic, a.s. equity" concern more about the teoretical approach of the characteristics of the company Telefonica O2, his competitors on the country level as well as on the regional level. This description should prepare the reader to know better the telecomunication sector. The second part is a empirical study. Primarily from the fundamental approach and then from the technical one. These two parts concern about discovering the "buy" os "sell" recommendation for a real investor. Each of the methods are first described and then a brief comment of the results is made.

[pt] vidências de validade da Phone Screening Interview (PSI-TEA) para rastreio do Transtorno do Espectro Autista em um serviço de psiquiatria infanto-juvenil. O estudo teve como objetivo ampliar a validação da Phone Screening Interview (PSI-TEA), uma triagem telefônica para rastreio de sintomas de TEA. No primeiro estudo, foi verificada a confiabilidade comparando as médias da pontuação total da aplicação presencial (4,03) e telefônica (3,95), sem diferença significativa (t(59)= -0,52; p= .600). A análise de concordância entre os itens apontou três itens com valores muito baixos, levando à modificação de algumas perguntas. Diante desta discordância, foi verificado que a ordem de aplicação das entrevistas não impactaria nos resultados, com fortes correlações (r=.822 e r= .825). No segundo estudo, foi investigado o poder discriminativo da PSI para diferenciar crianças com e sem diagnóstico de TEA, apresentando sensibilidade de 1,00, especificidade 0,52. O instrumento mostrou-se confiável, podendo ser utilizado de forma remota, por diferentes avaliadores, sem impacto em sua eficiência na detecção de sintomas de TEA quando comparada a sua forma presencial. / [en] The study aimed to extend the validation of the Phone Screening Interview (PSI-TEA), a telephone screening for symptoms of ASD. In the first study, reliability was verified by comparing the mean total scores of the face-to-face (4.03) and telephone (3.95) application, with no significant difference (t(59)= -0.52; p= .600). . The agreement analysis between the items indicated three items with lower values, leading to the modification of some questions. In view of this disagreement, it was verified that the order in which the interviews were applied would not impact the results, with strong correlations (r=.822 and r= .825). In the second study, the discriminative power of the PSI to differentiate between children with and without a diagnosis of ASD was investigated, presenting a sensitivity of 0.91, specificity 0.73. The instrument proved to be reliable and can be used remotely, by different evaluators, with no impact on its efficiency in detecting ASD symptoms when compared to its face-to-face form.

However, for a long time the discussion of evidences was set aside by the Brazilian antitrust community. Due to the increase in the activities of the Brazilian antitrust authorities, in both the merger control revision and the investigation of anticompetitive behaviors, there is an increase in the discussion regarding evidences. For example, which is the standard of proof necessary for a decision of any concrete case? What type of evidences is necessary for a decision in an antitrust procedure? What type of evidences can be used by the authorities? Which is the role of the economic evidences in the antitrust procedure? How to produce such economic evidences? Which are the limits for the use by the antitrust authorities of the borrowed evidences? Which are the limits that the antitrust authorities face for the evidences collected, in special regarding the new mechanisms available (leniency agreements, dawn raids and inspections)? The purpose of the present essay is to analyze these questions, seeking in CADE s case law, in commentators and in the foreign experience, the best approach to deal with the evidences in antitrust cases / As provas são muito importantes para o processo concorrencial, da mesma forma que elas são importantes para todo e qualquer tipo de processo. Entretanto, por um período essa discussão foi deixada de lado pela comunidade de defesa da concorrência no Brasil. Ocorre que com o incremento das atividades das autoridades brasileiras de defesa da concorrência, quer seja na análise de estruturas, quer seja na investigação de condutas anticoncorrenciais, estão começando a surgir diversas questões envolvendo provas. Por exemplo, qual é o padrão de prova necessário para que um caso seja decidido? Que tipo de prova é necessária para que se decida um processo concorrencial? Que tipos de provas podem ser utilizadas pelas autoridades? Qual é o papel da prova econômica no processo concorrencial? Como produzir as provas econômicas? Qual é o limite para o uso das provas emprestadas pelas autoridades de defesa da concorrência?
