Psychodynamické aspekty adiktologické léčby v denním stacionáři- případová studie / Psychodynamic aspects of addictological treatment at the day care center- case studyJeřábková, Zuzana January 2015 (has links)
This work deals with the importance of psychodynamic approaches in practice of a day care center for an addictological treatment. The research core of this thesis are qualitative case analyses with a comment on the etiology of the dependency problem (anamnestic analysis revealing uncontrolled or conflicting developmental stages according to E. H. Erikson) and at the same time on the accentuation of the importance of psychodynamic approaches in routine clinical practice, which focuses primarily on good nonverbal interventions (i.e. an authentic technique using stones, an art therapy, nonverbal techniques) and transference phenomena. The aim of this thesis is to understand an individual case through selected psychoanalytic theories and to describe the key therapeutic interventions leading to curing an addicted person using an ambulant addiction treatment. For this particular research I chose a qualitative approach. I processed five clients' life stories into a set of case studies. Several methods were used to obtain the needed data. The crucial one was a semi-structured interview, then a life curve and a projective method. In each case study, I explained one developmental stage by E. H. Erikson, which I interpreted as crucial for creating and developing an addiction. For the data analysis, I used a...

Perspektivy instituce umění / Perspectives of an Art InstitutionLojdová, Šárka January 2014 (has links)
This master thesis "Perspectives of an Art Institution" focuses on the George Dickie's institutional theory of art (thereafter IT). This theory defines "work of art" as a result of the position of an artefact in the institutional framework of the artworld. The author of the thesis pays attention to the historical development of the IT- firstly published in 1969 in the article "Defining Art" and radically revisited in the book The Art Circle in 1984- as well as to the critical discussion based on Dickie's theory. In the first chapter she compares both the earlier and the later version of the theory; in following chapters she concerns with objections formulated against Dickie's IT. IT seems to be problematic in several aspects: the term "institution" is considered to be ambiguous; Dickie fails to give a full description of roles and rules which determine the operations of the artworld; the notion of appreciation seems to be contradictory with Dickie's opinions presented earlier; circularity; and Dickie's unsatisfactory attention to the historical dimension of the artworld. All of these objections are compared with Dickie's theory to prove their legitimacy or to refuse them as illegitimate. Not only aims the thesis to sum up the critical discussion but it aims to answer the question if the theory...

Misalokace lidského kapitálu z pohledu rakouské školy / Misallocation of Human Capital: The Austrian PerspectiveSkala, Jakub January 2014 (has links)
Higher education is often considered as one of the safest and most profitable investments in human capital. There are, however, signals that this sector has been experiencing unsustainable economic boom in the United States. This study examines the ability of Austrian Business Cycle Theory to explain the possibility of such boom, i.e. to explain the potential systematic errors in the allocation of human capital. We find that respective allocation is driven by the similar market forces as the allocation of physical capital and hence, that it may fall victim to the same, or similar false market signals, thus creating the cycle of boom and bust. Credit expansion in the sector of student loans can be the trigger then. Furthermore, we study the actual development in this sector and find that empirical evidence provides many reasons to believe that there has actually been unsustainable boom i.e. an economic bubble in the sector of post-secondary education in the United States.

Od stachanovců k volné sobotě. Pojetí práce v socialistickém Československu šedesátých let 20. století / From the Stakhanovite-Movement toward a Free Saturday. The Idea of Labor in Socialist Czechoslovakia of the 1960sKeller, Filip January 2014 (has links)
This paper outlines the concept of labour in socialist Czechoslovakia of the 1960s. It examines on discourses of social and economic reforms and that of the post-Stalin era. The focus lays on main social, economic and ideological categories on which those projects based, on extent of their construction as well as on shifting the emphasis between their particular elements. The paper concerns above all conceivable relation of the newly shaped discourse to effort to reconstitute social differentiation and to overcome the social leveling of the previous Stalin era. An attempt will be made to connect Honnet's theory of recognition with G. Cohen's concept of egalitarian justice. From that perspective, the paper will examine historical tranformations of conceptions of justice, division of labour, a social ethos of different social groups (particullary the educated intelligentsia), legitimacy of given forms of redistribution etc.

Stability of the Financial System: Systemic Dependencies between Bank and Insurance Sectors / Stability of the Financial System: Systemic Dependencies between Bank and Insurance SectorsProcházková, Jana January 2014 (has links)
The central issue of this thesis is investigating the eventuality of systemic break- downs in the international financial system through examining systemic depen- dence between bank and insurance sectors. Standard models of systemic risk often use correlation of stock returns to evaluate the magnitude of intercon- nectedness between financial institutions. One of the main drawbacks of this approach is that it is oriented towards observations occurring along the central part of the distribution and it does not capture the dependence structure of outlying observations. To account for that, we use methodology which builds on the Extreme Value Theory and is solely focused on capturing dependence in extremes. The analysis is performed using the data on stock prices of the EU largest banks and insurance companies. We study dependencies in the pre- crisis and post-crisis period. The objective is to discover which sector poses a higher systemic threat to the international financial stability. Also, we try to find empirical evidence about an increase in interconnections in recent post- crisis years. We find that in both examined periods systemic dependence in the banking sector is higher than in the insurance sector. Our results also in- dicate that extremal interconnections in the respective sectors increased,...
