Spojené království a izraelsko-palestinský mírový proces / United Kingdom and the Israeli-Palestine Peace Process

Semera, David January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis United Kingdom and the Israeli-Palestine peace process is focused on British foreign policy towards the situation in Israel/Palestine and the ongoing peace process between 1997 and 2001. It addresses the main assumptions for the approach of the Tony Blair's government and their fulfilling. It is based on the analysis of speeches and documents issued by the Labour Party or by the government of the United Kingdom, on which it at first defines the assumptions about the activities of the United Kingdom on the international level, which it understands as commitments towards British and the electorate. Further, it presents the major steps made towards the situation in Israel/Palestine, as well as the long-term motives of Tony Blair government's approach to this area, which can be seen in speeches and other materials. It then examines whether the policy towards the Israeli-Palestine peace process matched the outlined assumptions and expectations. Subsequently, it deals with the causes of the found differences and discusses the importance of this topic for the government of Tony Blair and its possibilities get more involved in these issues. In the last section it analyses the other possible foreign policy interests of the United Kingdom that influenced the approach towards...

Identifikace s matkou u pacientek s mentální anorexií / Maternal Identification in Anorexia Nervosa

Choroušová, Jana January 2021 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis "Maternal Identification in Anorexia Nervosa" is to map the developmental context of the onset of anorexia nervosa in female patients related with the formation of relationships with immediate caregivers and the detailed focus on the daughter's relationship with the mother. The theoretical part offers a cross-section of psychoanalytic theories that specifically deal with such process. These are mainly the object relations theory, the attachment theory as well as the recent theory of mentalization. The initial premise of the whole work is the femininity itself, the age of the patients when the period of adolescence and female gender are amongst the main risk factors for the development of anorexia nervosa and contribute to the disproportion between male and female patients. The concept of identification between daughter and mother within the separation-individuation process is described both in early childhood and during adolescence. The empirical part focuses on a particular examination of the patient's relationships with primary caregivers, the immediate environment from childhood to adulthood and the factors involved in the development of the disease. Through a semi-structured in-depth interview, the study monitors key moments of psychosocial development in four...

Analýza nákupního chování ve vztahu k elektromobilům / Analysis of Buying Behavior of Electric Vehicles

Kolmanová, Marie January 2015 (has links)
The thesis is focused on consumer behavior in relation to electric vehicles. In the beginning, the issue of alternatively fuelled vehicle is briefly introduced, including the explanation how this product is supported by the European Union. The next part is devoted to the theoretical background applied in the work. After the theoretical part, there is the literature review followed by both, the qualitative and the quantitative investigation. The results obtained were compared with the results stemming from international research projects. In accordance with the Theory of Diffusion of Innovations, the participants of qualitative survey were labelled as innovators or early adopters, for whom technical knowledge is more important. But on the other hand, for later adopters, the interpersonal relationship is more important, as they can compensate the lack of technical knowledge this way. As follows from the results of qualitative survey, decision-making connected with the acquisition of electric vehicles is influenced by the overall awareness (or knowledge, experience), then by technical characteristics of the purchase together with economic factors and by the perceived expectations of other people. Most of participants have some knowledge about electric vehicles. They often mention barriers preventing...

Peter Newmark a jeho přínos translatologii / Peter Newmark and his Contribution to Translation Studies

Klabal, Ondřej January 2014 (has links)
The present theoretical and biographical thesis deals with the work of Peter Newmark, a prominent Translation Studies scholar. The thesis is based on an analysis of Newmark's monographs and papers and identifies key ideas which constitute his contribution to the development of Translation Studies. Given the context of his time, with the Western world being dominated by neopositivism, Newmark's approach was not in line with the mainstream. The thesis also tries to take into account the chronological development of Newmark's ideas and highlight some ideas from more recent papers, the reception of which was rather limited. Furthermore, the thesis presents the reception of Newmark's ideas and the most important critical responses to them.

Analýza problematických míst při zvládání matematiky u žáků s poruchou autistického spektra (a jejich vztah ke kognitivnímu zpracovávání žáků) / Analysis of Solving Math Problems in Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (and its relation to cognitive processing of students)

Sotáková, Hana January 2019 (has links)
The dissertation thesis addresses the topic of mathematical tasks processing in students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and problematic points of their solution. The aim of this work is to delineate methods that ASD students use to approach these tasks and solve them. We focus primarily on whether it is possible to identify different procedures than those used by typically developing students, and whether these procedures show specifics corresponding to distinct cognitive processes. In the theoretical part we provide a theoretical background for the study. Firstly, we create a frame to understand the complexity of autism, furthermore we deal with psychological theories examining the topic, and describe specifics of development of ASD students during their adolescence. Thereafter, we reflect on studies addressing mathematical skills of ASD students. Mathematics is considered as their great strength, however is not sufficiently scrutinized, as highlighted by various international studies (for example Oswald et al., 2016). The empiric part is based on qualitative methodology and pursues comparisons of mathematical tasks processing between six ASD students and typically developing peers. We strive to document differences and common points in solutions as well as to analyze cognitive processes of...

Vybrané faktory volby dopravního prostředku na trase Praha-Mnichov v kontextu plánované výstavby vysokorychlostní železnice / Selected factors of mode choice on the Prague-Munich route in the context of the planned high-speed rail construction

Petříček, Jakub January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to define in more detail a safety factor, a factor of passage of time and an ecological behaviour factor influencing the mode choice on the Prague-Munich route in relation to railway as a reference mode, and to estimate the change in mode choice after HSR completion with emphasis on defined factors. The work qualitatively analyzes the sets of ideas and understandings of selected factors, which in turn affect the travel behavior and the mode choice. Defining these factors creates space for estimating and proposing perspectives for the development of expected travel behavior in the context of the planned HSR system on the Prague-Munich route. The presented thesis discusses and interprets the comparison of selected factors between existing modes of transport. The significance of the thesis lies in the understanding and definition of selected factors that are important for HSR planning strategies between Prague and Munich. Keywords: high-speed rail, travel behaviour, transport safety perception, perception of time, grounded theory, theory of planned behavior

Ženská práva a postavení žen v Turecku na základě vybraných odborných textů / Women's rights and their position in Turkey based on selected specialized text

Kaděrová, Petra January 2013 (has links)
Women's rights and their position became part of political and specialized discussions already at the end of Ottoman empire and remain such during establishing new Turkish republic as well during accession dialogue of Turkey to the European Union or joining the global women's human rights regime. However, I will argue, that this legislative changes are not sufficient for improvement of women's position within society, which is so trongly influenced by Islamic traditional culture. Therefore, in this work I will try to search for the roots of this conflict between Islamic traditional and modern society and their impact on women's position in Turkey. To do so, I will use qualitative content analysis of feminist and postcolonialist texts and also will focus on historic context. At the same time I will examine how contemporary Turkish society, which is in the first place focused on collective identity, deal with individual identity, that is necessary for promoting and claiming human rights for each person as individual.

Internet voting is one of the discussed and suggested solutions of the so-called crisis of democracy, which could possibly stop the negative trend of diminishing voter turnout in advanced western democracies. The entire academic debate can be summarized into one question: It is possible, that the way of ballot casting can affect the voter turnout in that scale, that we can recognize a significant-positive...
