Fabula et historia: Václav Hájek z Libočan a fikční strategie historiografie / Fabula et historia: Vaclav Hajek z Libocan and fictional strategies of historiographyČeská, Jana January 2014 (has links)
So far the academical reception of Czech chronicle by Václav Hájek of Libočany was criticized for not being considerate of the early modern period literary context. It can be concluded from this paper's analysis of previous critiques and interpretations of Hájek's chronicle and from the excerption of key aspects of the theory of fictional worlds, that there is a lack of knowledge about the early modern period discoursive praxis, which defined the fictionality of text(s), as well as about formal and methodical aspects of this kind of work. Only through a thorough inspections of these two aspects it is possible to understand Czech chronicle and similar works as both historiographical sources and components of literary progress. This paper is comprised of selection of theoretical tools meant to identify the distinctions between fictional and non-fictional narratives, of overview of Hájek's chronicle's reception in compendia and editorial comments, and finally of a synthesis of theoretical conclusions and practical classifications of Hájek's chronicle, meaning this paper evaluates their expressive value regarding the current (non-)fictional state of Czech chronicle.

Kvantové aspekty teorií velkého sjednocení / Quantum aspects of grand unified theoriesGráf, Lukáš January 2014 (has links)
In this thesis we focus on Grand Unified Theories based on the SO(10) gauge group and, in particular, on the viability of the minimal nonsupersymmetric SO(10) models. Technically, this amounts to a detailed assessment of their vac- uum stability and related (non-)tachyonicity of their scalar spectrum. It turns out that the one-loop scalar mass corrections are important for elimination of the tachyonic behaviour of certain pseudo-Goldstone bosons. In this work these issues are briefly reviewed and two distinct methods for the calculation of the critical radiative corrections are discussed. More specifically, besides the revision of the effective potential approach to the 45 ⊕ 16 Higgs model also the standard perturbative theory method is employed for this purpose. The latter approach is particularly suitable for the more realistic 45 ⊕ 126 Higgs model since it appears to be practically impossible to construct the corresponding effective potential in that case. Consequently, diagrammatic methods are used to calculate the SO(10)- invariant leading scalar quantum correction to the problematic pseudo-Goldstone masses in the 45 ⊕ 126 model. 1

R. K. Min'jar-Beloručev: autorův systém tlumočnické notace v kontextu / R. K. Minyar-Beloruchev: His Note-taking System for ConsecutiveHamanovich, Maryna January 2016 (has links)
The present thesis is a descriptive theoretical study which aims at mapping Min'jar- Beloruchev's work in the context of contemporary and modern theories and presenting a comprehensive view of author's note-taking system for consecutive interpreting. The analysis of the system forms the crux of this thesis, which focuses on sources that represent the basis of the system, individual features of the system as well as factors that influenced his decisions while working on the system. Other parts of the thesis focuse on a consecutive interpreting training system, that was developed by the author, and to some extent deal with his views on translatology as a science and the interpreting process itself.

Mezi doslovností a purismem - překlady německé rodinné korespondence Karla Havlíčka / Between Literalism and Purism - Translations of Karel Havlíček Borovský's German Family CorrespondenceKukrechtová, Barbora January 2016 (has links)
This thesis analyzes the Czech translations of Karel Havlíček's German family correspondence. The translations are from the turn of the 20th century, from the 1940s, and from the present day. In the introduction, the present-day situation concerning the publication of Havlíček's correspondence is outlined. After that, the thesis focuses on the skopos theory as the main theoretical base for the analysis. Then the thesis turns to the life of Karel Havlíček with a focus on his student years. In the analytical section, the individual translators and the origination of the translations are introduced. Selected translations are then analyzed. The primary objective of the thesis is the evaluation of translation strategies and methods used by the translators of Karel Havlíček's family correspondence with regard to translation conventions and social and historical changes.

Psychologické aspekty zákaznické spokojenosti v oblasti telekomunikačních služeb / The psychological aspects of customer satisfaction in telecommunication servicesHassairi, Munír January 2012 (has links)
1 Abstrakt: This thesis has focused on customer satisfaction. Mainly there are described the attributes that significantly influence the satisfaction. The research is based on service quality of mobile phone operators in Czech Republic. The first part describes the relevant theories in psychology field about satisfaction in different context - life satisfaction, job satisfaction and mainly customer satisfaction. There is mentioned the problem with definition inconsistency among authors and then is provided details about service quality theories and customer satisfaction attributes categorization. Finally there is chapter that concerns about the difference between derived and stated importance of attributes. The research object are the customers that use mobile phone services from three main operators in Czech Republic. The output is derived importance of the attributes which is calculated by multiply regression.

Využití "Amodal completion" při rozpoznávání predátorů: vliv na riskování / The use of amodal completion inpredators recognition: effect on risk takingSedláčková, Kristýna January 2012 (has links)
Amodal completion enables animals (birds, mammals, but also fish) to perceive partly occluded objects as whole. Most of the studies focusing on the occlusion phenomenon were carried out in a laboratory and were based on either operant conditioning or filial imprinting techniques. This study concentrates on behavior of untrained animals in their natural habitat. Pairwise preferential experiments were used to reveal responses of tits (the great tit, Parus major; the blue tit, Cyanistes caeruleus; the marsh tit, Poecile palustris) to two dummies placed near an experimental and an alternative feeder. The dummies used were the complete dummy of a sparrowhawk and a pigeon, and partly occluded (the lower or upper torso hidden in shrubs) and amputated (only lower or upper torso on the perch) models of sparrowhawks - 15 combinations altogether. The tits considered all variants of torsos to be predators. The great tit and the blue tit perceived the model with occluded lower torso as more dangerous than the one with amputated lower torso. Such discrimination between these torsos requires the ability of amodal completion. The great tit also confirms this ability as it regarded the complete sparrowhawk and the model with occluded lower torso as equally dangerous. In the remaining cases, the number of arrivals...

Mohou být videohry uměním? : analýza kritických a teoretických pohledů na potenciál videoher coby plnohodnotné umělecké formy / Video gamesKolář, Vojtěch January 2012 (has links)
This thesis is based on a detailed analysis of various topics related to the question of whether video games can be art. In the first place it analyzes the current academic discussion on this subject and confronts different opinions of both supporters and objectors of the idea, that video games can be a full-fledged art form. The second point of this paper is to analyze the properties, that are inherent to video games, in order to find the reason, why cultural elite considers video games as inferior in relation to traditional forms of art. In addition to features of games like entertainment, competitivness and unproductivity, this part examines the circumstances that have an impact on current game design, like mass popularity and game developers pandering to wide audiance. Due to these circumstances, the majority of video games can be considered kitsch. Following passage through the application of theory of kitsch on specific video game shows and identifies tendencies in game design that cause this condition. Conclusion of the second chapter, however, shows that some video games exhibit characteristics that are generally regarded as positive elements of art works and by that they avoid being branded as kitsch. The last part of this thesis, based on cluster theory of art, identifies and analyzes...

Teorie odpovědi na položku v kontextu sociologie / Teorie odpovědi na položku a její aplikace v sociologiiRudá, Eliška January 2012 (has links)
The Item response Theory and its Application in the Sociology Abstract The focus of this master's thesis is an item response theory, a modern methodological approach, which models a relationship between a latent variable and measured responses to the particular item. A theoretical introduction, which explains fundamentals of the theory, is followed by a comparison with the classical test theory and suggestions of its possible applications in a field of sociology. The thesis is completed with an illustrative example using real data to evaluate an instrument for measuring subjective quality of working life in the framework of item response theory. Keywords: Item response theory, scale, reliability, model, subjective quality of working life

Ekonomie kriminality: Racionální pachatel a morální náklady zločinu / Economics of Crime: Rational Offender and Moral Costs of CrimeŠilar, Milan January 2011 (has links)
Main weakness of economics of crime is that it focuses on rational offender who is isolated from society. This thesis gives overview of game theory models, which take into account possible reactions of other actors to offender`s actions. I show that some variables of crime are dependent on individual`s social environment and I analyze them using moral costs of crime, where some gains and losses from crime are interconnected between people. Two own models are presented. First model deals with aggregated crime with significant role of moral costs of crime. Second model is a modification of Inspection game which includes moral costs of crime and is than modeled using evolutionary game theory. Result of first model is higher volatility of crime than in standard models of rational offender. Crime is maximally volatile in time in the second model. There is a critical level of moral costs of crime and after reaching this level, assumptions of inspection game are violated and society converges to state with zero crime. It is demonstrated on both models that crime is a self- propagating phenomenon, because of social interactions.

Role ekologických faktorů při udržování sexuality / The role of ecological factors in maintenance of sexualityToman, Jan January 2013 (has links)
The existence and widespread distribution of sexual reproduction despite its obvious disadvantages is an evolutionary enigma. According to the theory of frozen plasticity, the evolution of sexual and asexual species is fundamentally different. One of the implications of this theory are different ecological preferences of these species. Sexual species should prefer biotically and abiotically variable environments because of their ability to quickly and reversibly respond to unpredictable changes. On the other hand, asexual species should prosper in biotically and abiotically stable environments because of their ability to perfectly adapt even to extreme environmental factors in the long term. I decided to test these predictions in the metastudy comparing ancient asexual clades (in which we can be sure about their obligate asexuality and evolutionary longevity) with their sexual sister or closely related ecologically comparable clades. The hypothesis of the preference of asexual species to biotically and abiotically homogenous environments was supported by the results of this metastudy. On the other hand, the hypothesis of supposed ability of asexual species to perfectly adapt to a broader range of environmental conditions, tested on the comparison of temperature ranges of activity of previously...
