O presente trabalho, inserido no âmbito da disciplina terminológica, tem como principal objetivo a observação de dois fenômenos linguísticos no domínio da Astronomia: a neologia e a variação terminológica. Para tanto, o corpus da pesquisa é constituído por textos de diferentes graus de especialização: obras de Astronomia geral, obras de divulgação científica, teses e dissertações recém-defendidas na área. O termo neológico é tratado sob um enfoque social, assumindo-se a dinamicidade inerente às línguas de especialidade, particularmente às áreas científicas que mais dependem dos avanços tecnológicos, tal como a Astronomia. Ao mesmo tempo, observou-se que a variação terminológica é notável em todos os níveis do corpus de análise e que mesmo os termos neológicos surgem, muitas vezes, ao lado de variantes. Para determinar o caráter da neologicidade dos termos, baseou-se nos critérios tradicionalmente seguidos na pesquisa neológica, como o corpus de exclusão, e em outros critérios propostos, como as marcas metalinguísticas. Em um viés paralelo, levantou-se, a partir do corpus de Astronomia geral, uma árvore do domínio trilíngue, estabelecendo-se as equivalências, em português, inglês e francês, entre aproximadamente 500 termos de oito subdomínios da área. Assim, os estrangeirismos de origem inglesa, em particular os decalques, mostraram-se predominantes no que concerne à criação lexical na área; por sua vez, a variação sintática é a forma mais produtiva de variantes. Por fim, com base nas particularidades da linguagem do domínio, propomos, então, uma classificação tipológica para cada um desses fenômenos na terminologia da Astronomia. / The present study, within the context of Terminology, aims at investigating two linguistic phenomena in the field of Astronomy: neology and terminological variation. Therefore, the corpus is composed of texts of different degrees of specialization: General Astronomy books, popular science magazines, theses and dissertations recently defended in this area. Neological unity is treated under a social focus, assuming the dynamics which is inherent to specialized languages, especially to the scientific areas that are closely related to technological advances, such as Astronomy. At the same time, it was observed that the terminological variation is remarkable at every level of the corpus, and that even the neological terms often come up along with variants. In order to determine the neological character of terms, the analysis was based on criteria traditionally followed in neological research, such as the corpus of exclusion, and other proposed criteria, such as metalinguistic elements. Tangentially, a trilingual conceptual structure was organized, based on the general Astronomy corpus, establishing equivalences, in Portuguese, French and English, among about 500 terms in eight subdomains of the domain. Thus, English foreign words, especially calques, were shown to be predominant with regard to neologisms in this field; in turn, syntactic variation is the most productive form of variants. Finally, based on the specifications of the language of the domain, we propose, then, a typological classification for each of these phenomena in the terminology of Astronomy.

A pesquisa visa investigar os tipos de variação: denominativa e conceitual, mas se concentra mais especificamente, a identificar e analisar a variação conceitual. O Direito do Consumidor é uma área jurídica que ocupa-se de regulamentar todos os aspectos referentes às relações de consumo. Por isso, estudos terminológicos que sejam voltados ao DC são importantes na medida em que auxiliam na compreensão dos preceitos dessa área que são do interesse de grande parte dos cidadãos. Para tanto, faz-se um breve percurso histórico das principais correntes teóricas da Terminologia a fim de compreender o espaço dado à variação em cada uma delas. Com relação ao eixo teórico que sustenta este trabalho, elegeu-se, principalmente, os pressupostos teóricos da Teoria Comunicativa da Terminologia, de Cabré (1999). Tal fato justifica-se por essa teoria apresentar em seu escopo teórico-metodológico a possibilidade de variação na língua em uso no âmbito de especialidades. Além disso, retoma-se Freixa (2002; 2006) cujos trabalhos abordam as razões para a variação denominativa e demonstra a inter-relação entre as variações denominativa e conceitual. Com base em Fernández, Freixa e Cabré (2008; 2012), esta pesquisa direciona-se às teorias que analisam motivações de ordem cognitiva para a variação. No tocante à variação conceitual, baseia-se também nos preceitos de Kostina (2009). A autora dedica-se ao estudo da variação conceitual apontando alternativas para a identificação e a análise desse fenômeno nas terminologias. Nesse sentido, como procedimentos metodológicos, adequou-se alguns dos pressupostos metodológicos de Kostina (2009), entre eles, a análise da variação por meio de estruturas definitórias relacionadas aos termos que compõem nosso objeto de estudo. Essa seleção foi feita a partir de um corpus textual pertencente a diferentes níveis de especialidade. As definições foram buscadas em cada um dos textos do corpus, a partir disso, realizamos análise comparativa dessas construções. Como contraponto, apresentamos as definições apresentadas por um dicionário padrão de Língua Portuguesa e por um vocabulário jurídico para os termos analisados. Entende-se a partir disso, que variação conceitual ainda é um tema em ascensão e ainda há muito que ser investigado. Os resultados indicam que o âmbito do Direito do Consumidor apresenta uma organização epistemológica e terminológica complexa, pois reúne conceitos de outras áreas das ciências jurídicas. Verificou-se também que, a partir da análise de variação conceitual, foi possível identificar termos sinônimos aos analisados, isso motiva a busca por entender como esses diferentes usos influenciam a compreensão da terminologia do âmbito do Direto do Consumidor. / The aim of this work is to present a study about terminological variation in the scope of Consumer Rights (CR). This research aims to study both denominative and conceptual variation, but it focuses on identifying and analysing conceptual variation. Consumer Rights is a juridical area, which deals with all the aspects of the relationships between individual consumers and businesses that sell goods and services. Therefore, terminological studies about CR are important because they help to improve the comprehension about the precepts of this area, which is of great interest to most citizens. In this research, we present a brief history of the main theories regarding Terminology. The theoretical axis, which supports this investigation is the Communicative Theory of Terminology (CABRÉ, 1999), and this is justified by the fact that this theory presents in its theoretical-methodological scope the possibility of language use variation in terms of specialized contexts. Moreover, Freixa (2002; 2006) states the reasons of denominative variation and demonstrates the inter-relation between the conceptual and denominative variations. Regarding cognitive variation, this study is based on the studies of Fernández, Freixa e Cabré (2008; 2012), and supported by the theoretical assumptions of Kostina (2009), who dedicates to conceptual variation by pointing out alternatives to the identification and analysis of this phenomenon. In this way, in order to develop this investigation, some methodological procedures were adapted from Kostina (2009), such as the variation analysis through defining structures. The selection of terms was made from a textual corpus compiled with different degrees of the CR speciality. We searched for definitions of selected terms in each text, resulting in a comparative analysis among them. As counterpoint, the same definitions were looked up in a standard Portuguese dictionary and a law vocabulary book. All in all, conceptual variation is still a rising issue and there is much to be investigated, principally in the area of Cognitive Linguistics. The area of Consumer Rights presents a complex organization due to the number of terms and concepts connected to other law areas. The analysis of conceptual variation also revealed the possibility of identifying synonymous terms, which motivates further investigation on how the use of these different terms influence the understanding of the Consumer Rights terminology. / CNPq: 133871/2016-9

No que diz respeito aos aspectos teóricos, baseamo-nos em autores da Terminologia e da Teminografia bilíngüe como Cabré (1999), Dubuc (1985), Szende (1996), Alpízar-Castillo (1995), Dyrberg & Tournay (1990), Felber (1995). Em relação à metodologia do trabalho bilíngüe, fundamentamo-nos, notadamente, em Haensh (1982), Aubert (1996), Barros (2004), Krieger & Finatto (2004). As principais etapas de nossa pesquisa consistiram em, primeiramente, estabelecer as obras em francês e em português que se constituíram de dicionários monolíngües notáveis da área jurídica e de um conjunto de códigos de leis. Em segundo lugar, delimitamos os termos que seriam tratados em nosso dicionário com base no cotejo de duas obras francesas. Uma vez delimitada a nomenclatura a ser estudada, partimos para o registro de suas definições e de outros dados na ficha terminológica monolíngüe em francês, criada com o auxílio do programa ACCESS de base de dados. Esse programa revelou-se muito útil ao trabalho terminográfico, pois permitiu a criação rápida e o manejo eficiente das fichas. Posteriormente ao registro dos dados em francês, procedemos à análise conceitual dos termos para estabelecermos as equivalências na língua de chegada, o português. Ao proceder à busca dos termos nessa língua, pudemos constatar três tipos de equivalências: a total, a parcial e a não-equivalência. Apesar de terem ocorrido casos de equivalência-total e de não equivalência em nossa análise, houve um número significativo de equivalências parciais em português, fato que reafirma que cada país organiza sua realidade a seu modo, segundo suas necessidades de criação de conceitos e de denominação... (Resumo completo, clicar acesso eletrônico abaixo) / Abstract: The present work aimed at the elaboration of a bilingual dictionary French-Portuguese of legal terms whose target public are Brazilian translators. We based our theoretical sources on bilingual terminology and terminography authors as Cabré (1999), Dubuc (1985), Szende (1996), Alpízar-castillo (1995), Dyrberg & Tournay (1990), Felber (1995). Concerning the bilingual work methodology we based our study in the works from Haensh (1982), Aubert (1996), Barros (2004), Krieger & Finatto (2004). First of all, we established the French and the Portuguese works composed by monolingual dictionaries on the legal area and a collection of law codes. Secondly, we delimited the terms that would appear in the dictionary using the comparison of two french works. Once the terms were delimited, we registered its definition and other data on the terminological card in French, created by the access software, which was very useful to our work due to the fact that made possible an efficient and fast card creation. Then, we began the conceptual analysis of the french terms to establish the equivalent terms in Portuguese. In the meanwhile we observed three kinds of equivalents: total, parcial and non-equivalent. we noticed more cases of parcial equivalents in Portuguese. This fact shows that each country organize its reality on its own way, according to its necessity of creating concepts and denominations. This situation is intensified when we think about Law, a particular, social and cultural area of each civilization. The data founded confirmed the importance of creating a legal bilingual work to the translator. Therefore, after having established the equivalences in Portuguese, we elaborated the macro and micro-structures of our bilingual dictionary considering the discussions in the area. Resumo: Apresenta estudo teórico e metodológico da Linguagem documentária e de sua interface com a terminologia. Explicita as etapas necessárias para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa terminológica temática. Considera a aplicabilidade da metodologia de protocolo verbal "pensar alto" como instrumento, que pode ser usado no processo de confirmação de termos de uma área especializada. Considera para esse estudo o levantamento de termos, diretamente, coletados na teoria científica e técnica. Utiliza para o trabalho terminológico os textos científicos e técnicos que tratam do subdomínio: Processo de inteligência competitiva,, publicados em artigos de periódicos e de eventos entre os anos de 1999 e 2002. Formula, por meio de estudo de caso com três sujeitos: o indexador de um sistema de informação, o pesquisador e o profissional do subdomínio, uma proposta de metodologia para a construção de linguagem documentária, no que tange aos processos de identificação e confirmação de termos, que atue como instrumento de mediação entre o sistema de informação e o usuário. / Abstract: It presents a theoretical and methodological study on documentary language and its interface with terminology. Exposes the stages that are necessary for developing a thematic terminological research. It considers the applicability of the verbal protocol"think aloud" methodology as instrument that can be used in the prodess of confirmationof terms of a specialized area. This study considered terms collected directly in the scientific and technicalliterature. The terminological work used scientific and technical texts (papers) on the sub domain of competitive intelligence process, published in journals and proceedings among the years of 1999-2002. Nossa tese apresenta a aplicação de um modelo de análise conceitual e de descrição terminológica da área de Educação do Campo, com foco nos processos de neologia, sob uma abordagem lexicológico-terminológica. Educação do Campo é a expressão atribuída aos conceitos referentes ao ensino, à aprendizagem e à educação nas regiões rurais, notadamente as figurativizadas por movimentos sociais com objetivos libertários em relação à política e à cultura dominantes. Esses conceitos abrangem os princípios, a metodologia e os fins e ideais da Educação, bem como a organização da estrutura de ensino e seus atores sociais. Logo, estão profundamente marcados por uma ideologia e por uma contraideologia. Os termos refletem esses aspectos ideológicos. Nosso corpus de análise é de aproximadamente 700 termos. Além deste corpus, foram constituídos, para a pesquisa, outros cinco, que classificamos nos tipos: documental, referencial, de exclusão geral, de exclusão específico e parâmetro. O levantamento, a análise, a sistematização e a apresentação dos termos seguiram modelos da Lexicologia e da Terminologia (Teoria Comunicativa da Terminologia, Socioterminologia, Teoria Sociocognitiva da Terminologia, Sociossemiótica, Terminologia Técnico-Científica e Terminologia Aplicada), com o auxílio de ferramentas informatizadas. O estudo conceitual-terminológico foi organizado em categorias temáticas pertinentes à Educação do Campo. Nossa pesquisa também apresenta análises qualitativas e análises quantitativas de natureza morfossintática, semântica e pragmática dos termos do universo neológico, em abordagem sincrônica e em abordagem diacrônica, tendo em vista os processos de terminologização da área em estudo (ênfase no processo sintagmático). Objetivamos que a realização deste trabalho possa contribuir para o esclarecimento de alguns fundamentos das escolas do campo e dos assentamentos e dos acampamentos rurais instituídos a partir dos princípios e das práticas da luta pela reforma agrária no Brasil, bem como para a diminuição do preconceito social que há em nosso país em relação à temática. Este trabalho visa, a partir de um estudo exploratÓrio de textos da área da Mineração, investigar a ocorrência de anglicismos termino lÓgicos e descrever a natureza interna, entorno lingüístico e textual que permitem sua existência e funcionamento. Com base nos pressupostos da Teoria Comunicativa da Terminologia e nos paradigmas da Terminologia Textual, postula-se que o termo estrangeiro deve ser analisado em sua inserção no contexto, uma vez que seu valor especializado é ativado pelas condições de uso. Buscou-se apoio nos mestres dos estudos de neologia, empréstimo e estrangeirismo para explicar o anglicismo terminológico como o empréstinlo inglês de uma palavra da linguagem de especialidade utilizada nos textos de Mineração escritos em português do Brasil. A pesquisa parte da observação de um corpus de artigos científicos em português brasileiro, coletados de periódicos da área da Mineração, divididos em subcorpus A e subcorpus B, ambos constituídos de textos de mesma temática e entorno comunicativo, porém com um nível de especialização diferenciado. Os anglicismos coletados apresentam-se basicamente como unidades lingüísticas de valor especializado sem qualquer alteração morfo-tonológica e/ou unidades que conservam a base original inglesa com o acréscimo de sufixos vernáculos. Com o aplicativo WordSmith Tools, geramos listas para o levantamento dos anglicismos comuns aos subcorpora e a extração de seus contextos, os quais forneceram dados, cuja análise permitiu-nos propor critérios possíveis para uma classificação dos anglicismos empregados na linguagem da Mineração. Procuranlos, por fim, estabelecer sua representatividade a partir do que foi possível observar de regular e específico de cada subcorpus. / By an exploratory stuely af texts from the Mining area, this work aims to investigate terminalogícal anglícisms and to describe the internal nature, linguistic and textual environment, which explain their existence and functianing. Basedon the presuppositions of the Communicative Theory of Terminology and Textual Terminology, it is put forth that the foreign term should be analyzed whilc insertcd into its eontext sinee the spccialized value is triggcred by usagc condítions. Also, the research is supportcd by studícs of neology, borrowings and foreignism, in order ta account for the terminological anglicísm as a specialized ward borrowcd from Eng!ish into Portuguese, employed in Brazilian tcxts on Mining. The rcflection stcms from the observation af a corpus of scientific papers written in Brazilian Portuguese collected from Mining Journals, divided into subcorpus A and subcorpus B. Each subcorpus comprises texts of similar thematics and communicative approach written ín a different level of specialization. The anglicisms usually occur as linguistic items of specialized value with no morpho-phonological change and/or lexical units that preserve the original base with the addition of vernacular suffixes. With the software WordSmith Tools, lists were produced to examine anglicisms that are common to each subcorpus. and to extract their contexts. Data collected from such contexts 13mvided ana!yzes to suggest eríteria for categorizing the anglieisms used in the Mining language. Finally, we try to establish the representativeness of aglicicms by observing regularity and specificity of each subcorpus.

Exposes the stages that are necessary for developing a thematic terminological research. It considers the applicability of the verbal protocolthink aloud methodology as instrument that can be used in the prodess of confirmationof terms of a specialized area. This study considered terms collected directly in the scientific and technicalliterature. The terminological work used scientific and technical texts (papers) on the sub domain of competitive intelligence process, published in journals and proceedings among the years of 1999-2002. Using a case study methodology with three individuals: the information system indexer, the researcher and the professional of thesub domain, it proposes a methodology for the documentary language construction, focussing the process ofidentification and confirmation of terms, in order to serve as a mediation instrument between the information system and the user.
