Strukturální podklady kognitivního deficitu v zobrazování magnetické rezonance. / Structural Patterns of Cognitive Deficits in MR Imaging.

Buksakowska, Irena January 2019 (has links)
Structural and diffusion imaging patterns that can be evaluated using MRI in patients with cognitive deficits are the central theme of the proposed work. First, the clinical and neuroimaging background of dementias has been reviewed in a broader context, with a special focus on Alzheimer's disease (AD) and differential diagnoses. The second part of this thesis contains four consecutive experimental studies. The primary objective of the first two studies was to obtain structural and microstructural information on the neurodegenerative processes characteristic for AD on global and regional levels. For this purpose, several complementary approaches were used and the focus was shifted from grey to white matter (GM/WM). The following two studies focused on the differential context of WM microstructural alterations in normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH) and distinctive patterns of WM disintegrity in temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). The most important conclusion of our studies is that structural and diffusion imaging proved to be useful in identifying regionally specific and disproportionate loss of brain volume and microstructure in several pathological processes underlying cognitive deterioration. The use of distinctive morphometric methods yielded complementary information on AD-related atrophy patterns,...

Alkalicky aktivované systémy / Alkali Activated Systems

Bílek, Vlastimil January 2017 (has links)
This doctoral thesis is focused on the possibilities of alkali-activated slag (AAS) shrinkage reduction, which would together with the use of waste sludge from waterglass production contribute to wider practical utilization of this interesting material. Besides the influence on AAS dimensional changes also effect of various factors on workability, setting time and mechanical properties was investigated. Obtained results were supported by the application of instrumental techniques like izotermal calorimetry, mercury intrusion porosimetry, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The results show the possibilities of reduction of AAS drying shrinkage related to its cracking tendency through the combination of increased dose of waterglass and reduced water to slag ratio (w/b), partial replacement of slag by pulverized fly ash or cement by-pass dust and application of organic admixtures, where significant effect on AAS hydration was observed. On the basis of the obtained results concrete mixtures, where the whole activator was replaced by the waste sludge form waterglass production, were designed and optimized in terms of shrinkage, mechanical properties and price. Selected concretes were also tested in semi-operating conditions.

Průzkum a hodnocení železobetonové mostní konstrukce / Survey and assessment of reinforced concrete bridge construction

Šnédar, Jaroslav January 2020 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the real condition of reinforced concrete beam bridge located in Brno Jundrov. In order to evaluate this condition, there was made the main bridge inspection. Subsequently, a number of diagnostic methods were used, such as hardness tests, concrete stress strenght, ultrasonic pulse method, including their evaluation. In terms of the main inspection, the condition of construction of the bridge was evaluated as V - bad. We found out that the concrete from which the bridge is built of is in very good condition. The problem, however, is the condition of the reinforcement located on the bridge. Based on its condition there must be expected lifespan within the next 5-10 years.

Využití asfaltových a betonových recyklátů do pozemních komunikací / The utilization of the asphalt and concrete recycled materials to roads

Žďára, Zbyněk Unknown Date (has links)
This diploma thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The is a review om the topic of recycled asphalt pavement and recycled concrete and their possible use in road construction in the theoretical part. The individual chapters deal with describing these materials, their production, and their use in construction layers of pavements. In the next chapters the attention is also paid to their problematic features and foreign experience using these materials in pavements. In the practical part, laboratory samples of recycled asphalt pavement and recycled concrete and their mixtures with cement are tested. The main purpose is to verify the applications of these mixtures of recycled asphalt pavement and recycled concrete in the bonded base layers of the pavement. Another purpose is to compare how these mixtures individual properties with different proportions of both components and different amounts of cement will be different. In the end, the two mixtures with the best properties was selected and the modulus of elasticity was experimentally determined for the possibility of replacing the currently used base layers and the economic evaluation of this design was made.
