Orientador: Julio Cezar de Melo Castilho / Banca : Evelise Ono / Banca: Mônica Costa Armond / Banca: Tarcísio José de Arruda Paes Júnior / Banca: Janete Dias Almeida / Resumo: O propósito neste estudo radiográfico e fotográfico foi avaliar razões entre estruturas ósseas e em tecido mole da face de indivíduos edêntulos, antes e depois do tratamento por próteses totais e compará-las à proporção áurea. Os valores de algumas razões também foram correlacionados entre as análises radiográfica e fotográfica. Foram selecionados 54 indivíduos desdentados totais que realizaram o tratamento reabilitador por próteses totais na Faculdade de Odontologia de São José dos Campos-UNESP, durante o período letivo de 2010. Foram obtidas duas radiografias cefalométricas laterais, duas fotografias na norma lateral e duas fotografias na norma frontal de cada indivíduo, sendo a primeira sem as próteses e a segunda com as novas próteses totais em posição. Foram avaliadas 4 razões nas radiografias cefalométricas laterais denominada análise áurea 1-AA1- (Or-Me/Co-Go; Or-Me/Ena-Enp; Or-Me/N-Ena; N-Me-Ena-Me), 5 razões nas fotografias laterais -AA2- (Tr-Me'/Tr-Sn; Tr-Me'/N'-Me'; Tr-Sn/Sn-Me'; Sn-Me'/St-Me'; N'-Sn/St-Me') e 5 razões nas fotografias frontais -AA3- (Tr-Me'/DN-Me'; DN-Me'/Tr-DN; Tr-PN/PN-Me'; PN-Me'/DN-PN; Ls-Me'/PN-Ls). Realizouse o teste t-pareado para comparar as médias antes e depois do tratamento por próteses totais e o teste t de Student para comparar as médias de cada razão ao número áureo (1,618). As razões das análises AA1, AA2 e AA3 apresentaram diferenças estatisticamente significantes antes e depois do tratamento, com exceção das razões Sn-Me'/St-Me' e DN-Me'/Tr-DN. As razões Or-Me/Co-Go (depois do tratamento) e Tr- Me'/DN-Me' (antes do tratamento) foram consideradas estatisticamente iguais ao número áureo. Observou-se correlação estatisticamente significante (p<0,05) somente entre as razões Or-Me/Ena-Enp e Tr- Me'/Tr-Sn, antes e depois... The ratios were compared to the golden number (1,618) and verified correlations in ratios in x-rays and photographs analysis. Fifty-four edentulous subjects were selected and the complete dentures were made by School of Dentistry's students, from Unesp - Univ Estadual Paulista. Two lateral cephalometric x-rays, two lateral photographs and two frontal photopraphs of each subject were obtained (the first without the complete dentures, in mandibular rest position, and the second, in occlusion). The ratios evaluate in lateral cephalometric xrays were Or-Me/Co-Go; Or-Me/Ena-Enp; Or-Me/N-Ena; N-Me-Ena-Me; in lateral photographs Tr-Me'/Tr-Sn; Tr-Me'/N'-Me'; Tr-Sn/Sn-Me'; Sn-Me'/St- Me'; N'-Sn/St-Me' and in frontal photographs Tr-Me'/DN-Me'; DN-Me'/Tr- DN; Tr-PN/PN-Me'; PN-Me'/DN-PN; Ls-Me'/PN-Ls. The means of each ratio were statistically analysed by paired t-test and Student's t-test, and compared with the golden number 1,618. The feasibility of introducing the concepts of TQM into the Saudi Arabian public sectorAl-Omair, Ibrahim January 2000 (has links)
Total Quality Management (TQM) and the implementation of its concepts and methods have been seen as to provide a promising way to improve management processes and building high quality products and services. Accordingly, during the past three decades many organisations have implemented TQM and its concepts as a way for improving their management processes and quality of services, and as a way for gaining competitive advantages. This research has made an attempt to study TQM implementation within the context of Saudi Arabia's public sector. The research examined the extent to which there was a need in the Saudi public sector for TQM implementation, and the extent to which the environment of the Saudi public sector was compatible for its implementation and for practising its concepts and methods. To attain the objectives of the research and to test the possibility of implementing TQM in the Saudi public sector, two types of data were gathered; namely, secondary and primary data. As a result, the research is based on both secondary and primary data analysis. The secondary data aims to manifest the notion of TQM and its principles, the approaches and concepts of quality management "gurus"; the differences between the public and private sectors; and the barriers to TQM implementation, with a particular reference to the public sector. Along with the secondary data, a generic model for TQM implementation in the Saudi public sector is proposed and a background to the Saudi public sector and the Ministry of Interior is provided. The results of the secondary data reveal that there is no an agreed or specific model in the literature offered by quality experts for TQM implementation, and that there are some critical issues in the Saudi Public Sector that need to be addressed in order to improve its management performance. The primary data, which was gained through a survey mode of inquiry within the Ministry of Interior, examines the compatibility between the Saudi public sector's environment with TQM's concepts and the extent to which there is a need for TQM implementation in the Ministry of Interior and the Saudi public sector in general. The primary data was gained through a questionnaire designed by the researcher encompassing the principles and elements of the proposed implementation model. The findings of the primary data and analysis reveals that the environment of the Ministry of Interior, with its current management systems and procedures, is inconsistent with the requirements demanded by TQM, and that it would need some modifications in order to implement TQM successfully. Based on the results of the above data, a number of findings, conclusions, and recommendations are provided, which should help to contribute to a successful implementation of TQM in the Saudi public sector.

La calidad de servicio es uno de los aspectos más relevantes para las organizaciones,
sin embargo, no existe un método validado para la evaluación del mismo, de la misma
manera no existen investigaciones referentes al modelo SERVQUAL mas allá de
aplicaciones prácticas de carácter descriptivo. Esta investigación buscó validar el modelo,
particularmente en el sector cines de Lima Metropolitano. Se ejecutó una encuesta a una
muestra representativa de usuarios del servicio donde se obtuvo información referente a su
percepción y expectativa, posteriormente se procedió a analizar las relaciones entre las
dimensiones y la calidad del servicio mediante contraste de hipótesis para finalmente validar
el modelo mediante la técnica de regresión lineal. La investigación aporta información sobre
el servicio entregado en el sector cines en Lima Metropolitana y una descripción del resultado
de manera cuantitativa, donde se brindó una calificación final del sector, que para fines
aplicativos sirve de diagnóstico general, además ofrece una serie de conclusiones y
recomendación practicas con respecto al sector para ser utilizadas por empresas que tengan
un modelo de negocios que se adecue a los que han sido participes de la investigación / Quality of service is one of the most relevant aspects for the organizations, however, there's
not a validated method for the evaluation of it, in the same way there aren't investigations
referring to the SERVQUAL model beyond practical descriptive applications. This research
sought to validate the model, particularly in the Metropolitan Lima cinemas sector. A survey
was carried out on a representative sample of users of the service where information
regarding their perception and expectation was obtained. Later, we proceeded to analyze the
relationships between dimensions and service quality by contrasting hypotheses to finally
validate the model using the technique of linear regression. The research provides
information on the service delivered in the cinemas sector in Metropolitan Lima and a
description of the result in a quantitative way, where a final qualification of the sector was
provided, which for purposes of applications serves as general diagnosis, in addition offers a
series of conclusions and recommendation practices with respect to the sector to be used by
companies that have a business model that suits those who have been involved in the

La gestión de la calidad es importante, porque desarrolla competitividad en la
empresa, lo cual generará mayores beneficios. Con nuestra economía en busca de más
acuerdos de libre comercio por el mundo y la globalización imperante, los productos
importados representan una seria amenaza para el crecimiento de nuestra industria, por lo que
es importante elaborar un estudio de la calidad en nuestro medio en búsqueda de su
desarrollo.
Por lo anterior, el presente trabajo de investigación se desarrolló con el objetivo de
conocer e identificar el nivel de calidad de las empresas comercializadoras de prendas de
vestir para niños y bebés en el emporio comercial de Gamarra ubicado en el distrito limeño de
La Victoria, el cual pertenece a un sector intensivo en mano de obra y juega un papel
importante en la economía del país como fuente generadora de empleo.
El estudio se realizó teniendo como referencia el modelo de los nueve factores de éxito
de TQM (Total Quality Management) en la gestión de las empresas, propuesto por Benzaquen
(2013). Se desarrolló en el marco de un enfoque cuantitativo y descriptivo con la selección de
una muestra de 186 empresas, a partir de una población de, aproximadamente, 15 000 micro y
pequeñas empresas del emporio comercial de Gamarra.
Como resultado, el factor «diseño de producto» es el que alcanza un valor mayor al
promedio de todos los factores de calidad del presente estudio, en el que la implementación de
estos requerimientos, aportes, modas y tendencias de los clientes son realizadas con mayor
dinamismo para atender la demanda existente. Por otro lado, el factor «círculos de calidad» es
el de menor valor, pues se observa que no es una práctica común en estas empresas, como,
por ejemplo, formar equipos para buscar soluciones a problemas o mejoras en el desempeño
de sus actividades y labores / Quality management is important because it develops competitiveness in the company
which will generate greater benefits. With our economy in search of more free trade
agreements by the world and globalization today, imported products represent a serious threat
to the growth of our industry so it is important to make a study of the quality of our
environment in its development.
Therefore, the present research work was carried out in order to know and identify the
level of quality of the distributors of clothing children's clothing companies and babies in the
commercial emporium of Gamarra of victory in Lima, which belongs to a labour intensive
sector and plays an important role in the economy of the country as generation of
employment.
He study was made taking as reference the model of them nine factors of success of
TQM (Total Quality Management) in the management of the companies proposed by
Benzaquen (2013). Developed in the framework of a quantitative and descriptive approach by
selecting a sample of 186 companies, from a population of approximately of 15,000 micro
