It is taken as focus the relations produced by the militancy, being in its daily work with the present countless subcategory at the Railroad Station, being beyond this space, with the local community, using approximation strategies in relation to this. It is a trajectory that it constituted of intense conflict affronted in the militancy interior, due to the politics orientations in dispute on the syndical entity and by the constant relationships with subcategory that, along the conjuncture in study, acquire an active voice on the railroad syndical politics. However, they are rivalries that, in some occasions will give place to solidarity moments. Such practice that is altered significantly with the coup-minded groups advent, in 1964, with the military intervention in the railroad business and with the opening of inquests, envolving many railroad militates. Beyond a bibliography refferent to the thematic in study, we’ll have as methodology the oral history that will privilege the voices, until then in silence, of the ancient railroad workers, as also the withal present subjects in that railroad daily. And still, there was the consultation to the workers historical professional, elaborated by the Federal Railroad Network that contains the data refferent to the workers trajectory, since transferences to punishments for the inciscipline acts; and to the epoch local newspaper. / O presente estudo visa examinar a trajetória dos trabalhadores ferroviários do município de Cruz Alta, através de sua entidade reivindicatória, priorizando dois aspectos ligados à identidade ferroviária, a saber, o cotidiano e a militância, nos anos de 1958 a 1964. Tomam-se como foco as relações engendradas pela militância, seja em seu cotidiano de trabalho com as inúmeras subcategorias presentes na Estação Férrea, seja além desse espaço, com a comunidade local, usando estratégias de aproximação em relação a essa. É uma trajetória que se constitui de intensos conflitos enfrentados no interior da militância, devido às orientações políticas em disputa na entidade sindical e pelas constantes relações com subcategorias que, ao longo da conjuntura em estudo, adquirem uma voz atuante na política sindical ferroviária. Entretanto, são rivalidades que, em algumas ocasiões, darão lugar a momentos de solidariedade. Tal prática que altera-se significativamente com advento dos grupos golpistas, em 1964, com a intervenção militar na empresa ferroviária e com a abertura de inquéritos, envolvendo vários militantes ferroviários. Além de uma bibliografia referente à temática em estudo, teremos como metodologia a história oral que privilegiará as vozes, até então em silêncio, dos antigos ferroviários, como também os demais sujeitos presentes naquele cotidiano ferroviário. E ainda, houve a consulta ao histórico profissional dos trabalhadores, elaborado pela Rede Ferroviária Federal que contém os dados referentes à trajetória dos trabalhadores, desde transferências a punições por atos de indisciplina. The main objective will be to understand how the dictatorship has affected the organization of these workers and how they structured their trade union actions after its implantation. / Esse estudo analisará como o movimento operário/sindical ferroviário da cidade do Rio Grande/RS se organizava anterior e posteriormente ao golpe civil-militar de 1964. Tendo como objetivo principal, entender como a Ditadura afetou a organização desses trabalhadores e como eles estruturaram suas ações sindicais após a implantação desta.
