Vztahy mezi ČR a Vietnamem v rámci obchodní a rozvojové spolupráce / Relations between the Czech Republic and Vietnam in trade and development cooperation

Nguyenová, Kristýna January 2010 (has links)
The subject of the thesis is the development of the bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in terms of trade and international development cooperation. Historical context, contractual base and diplomatic relations with top government officials are taking into account first. The main part of the thesis is the analysis of trade exchange and development support provided by the Czech Republic to Vietnam. The last chapter, dealing with the arrival of Vietnamese to the Czech Republic, completes the conception of the Czech-Vietnamese relations. The thesis also follows the perspectives of further development and potential of Vietnam as a future business partner for Czech companies.

Safeguarding Free Trade in Recessions : - A Game-Theoretic Interpretation of the Multilateral Policy Response to the 2008 Crisis

von Seth, Carl Johan January 2011 (has links)
I propose a simple approach to trade cooperation in economic shocks. A two-country, two-good trade model provides a stage setting. In a dynamic model, international demand for traded goods is allowed to be subject to sudden shocks. Numerical simulations predict that negative, sustained demand shocks may spark trade wars. Negative demand shocks that are short relative to the period it takes for governments to detect violations render instead incentives in free trade agreements more robust. I find that the multilateral policy response to the 2008 crisis - to temporarily enhance multilateral information mechanisms - may have worked to strengthen this effect. Korta lågkonjunkturer stärker i stället incitamenten i avtalet.

Re-inscribing dependency : the political economy of Mauritius JinFei Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone Co. Ltd

Cowaloosur, Honita January 2015 (has links)
This thesis investigates the capacity of the newly introduced Chinese Special Economic Zones in Africa (CSEZAs) to deliver ‘cooperation' and ‘mutual development' to China and Africa. Referring to existing scholarship on other forms of liberal spatial economics, it addresses the conceptual, methodological and theoretical void in which the subject of CSEZAs evolves in academia. As extensive global interactive processes are identified in the schema of the CSEZA, this thesis advocates Andre Gunder Frank's Dependency Theory as the appropriate prism through which to explicate the new zone format. Empirical data about the seven CSEZAs outline the problematic and development-conducive aspects of the zone model. It is argued here that the failure to customise the SEZ model to the African context is what corrodes the developmental prospects of the CSEZAs. The Mauritius JinFei Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone is taken as an example of a problematic CSEZA. A detailed analysis of the Mauritian case allows a visualisation of the respective role of China and the African state in the CSEZA context. As the exploitative and non-developmental nature of the CSEZA model (in its current form), is established, this thesis concludes that the CSEZA gives a new interpretation to the traditional practice of dependency. This new version, nonetheless, exacerbates the dialectic development-underdevelopment processes integral to the global capitalist economy.

Česko-německá obchodní a průmyslová komora a její význam pro obchodní spolupráci mezi ČR a SRN / German-Czech Chamber of Industry and Commerce and its importance for business cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany

Vykoukalová, Jana January 2013 (has links)
This thesis is focused on the importance of the German-Czech Chamber of Industry and Commerce for business cooperation between the Czech Republic and Germany, especially with a focus on the participation of Czech companies at trade fairs in Germany and German companies at the Czech trade fairs. The theoretical part describes the history of relation between the Czech Republic and Germany, Czech and German cultural standards, trade between these two states, foreign trade investment and the exhibiton industry in the Czech Republic and Germany. In the following chapters are introduced the German-Czech Chamber of Industry and Commerce and its activities, offered services, structure and five trade fairs which represents the Chamber. One part of the practical part is the assessment of the participation at trade fairs, communication with the Chamber and cultural standards by the Czech and German companies.
