Muzikář, Vladimír January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with urban studies on the territory of Svitavy river in Brno-Husovice. Part of the solved territory is defined as a brownfield - specifically, it is a former Zetor site. New backbone roads are proposed in the defined area, new residential complexes that integrate the area into the surrounding area. In the north of the proposed area, I propose the Park & Ride Park House at the large city ring road in Brno. The proposal also includes the creation of recreational areas - near the embankment, a city park is set up near the Provazníkova road. An interesting feature is the creation of a public space shielded from traffic.

Macurová, Lenka January 2015 (has links)
An assignment of diploma thesis was to design a concert hall for Brno Philharmonic. Ten years ago, an architectural competition was held to design Janáček cultural centre on a plot between the streets Veselá and Besední. The winning project was simplified and divided into two parts (underground parking and concert hall). My proposal is based on the planned parking, which finally begins to build in 2015. Shape of the house respects the surrounding buildings. My aim was create the building, which would be functional, urban, beautiful and more economical than the winning project.

Subject of thesis are suburban zones of cities in direct contact with willages. Their phisical urban structures as well as their development in time and processes witch affects these changes. Despite that a different european countries has different systems of spatial planning, they allwys have three main levels of planning process. These layers are: Strategic planning, regulation level and execution level. What differs is tunig of this system and wights of importance set on different „layers“. This tuning has a substential impact on way how are the cities and urban structures developer. This tuning of spatial planning systém has huge impact on physical structure and form of cities. Every setting of system brings differnt possibilities of solving problems. In both schort-term and long-term development processes. This thesis will therefore examine affects of different settings of spatial planning system in Czech Republic and Federal Republic of Germany (In specific terms – Free state of Bavaria, region of Upper Palatinate) and its long-term afffects on phisical structure of cities. With empahsis on ways in which historical village structures integrate in city structure and transform in cities districts. Goal of thesis is effort to analyse results of these two spatial planning systems. And mainly in suburban zones affected by development axes of bigger cities. Thesis will compare urban and suburban structures of two cities in two different countries. Analysed example for Czech republic is Brno. As Bavarian example stands Regensburg (as a city of comparable structure). One of important criteria is ability of systéms to effectively capture and use all of territorys development potential and possibiliteis and therefore – ability to create viable and susteinable land systems. In suburban spaces where City systems meets suburban and village systems is intensive use of existing structures and active work with subcenters crutial to susteinable development of cities.

Hodúlová, Tereza January 2017 (has links)
The master thesis deals with the study of the relation between man and his surroundings. The thesis solves the issue of the place identity and the process of identification with the example of the Prague housing estate Solidarita. It analyses the surroundings from the perspective of a concept of identity which has a multidimensional character. For this reason, the case study approach has been chosen to allow a comprehensive study of space from a variety of perspectives. It deals with the history of the housing estate, its residents, social connections and the perception of space. Because of the presence of green vegetation and public facilities, the Solidarita housing estate is presented as a place which provides a high-quality space and supports the production of social interactions. Surrounding of Solidarita housing estate respects human scale and provides stronger social interactions. The thesis also accents the importance of sociological and anthropological research of a space, that should be a part of urban processes. Mezi tradicí a modernitou: město v průmyslovém věku. Severočeská architektura v první polovině 20. století / Between tradition and modernity: City in the industrial age. North Bohemian architecture in the first half of the 20th century

Zeman, Jaroslav January 2017 (has links)
From the mid-nineteenth century the North Bohemian industrial area, populated mostly by Germans, experienced an unprecedented urban and demographic growth. The onset of the industrial revolution meant a major breaking point, in particular because the following periods shaped it most notably. The characteristic trait of the cities is a precipitous urban development with building boom. Thereby an impressive scrum of mutually coexisting industrial complexes, palatial villas, spectacular public buildings, generous garden districts and small town housing projects originated, creating the peculiar local genius loci. The border areas have always been a busy crossroads of cultures, histories and ideologies, in which Czechs, Germans and Jews mingled and interacted with each other, and thus they reflect the complex ethnic relations in the territory of today's Czech Republic. The Thesis focuses on the architecture of Czech Germans which formed the natural counterpart to the architecture of the Czech majority. The aim is to set this "second stream" of culture into a wider Central European context and find and define the specifics of the buildings production of Czech Germans. For this purpose, the trio of industrial agglomerations Usti nad Labem, Liberec and Jablonec nad Nisou was chosen, which are also compared...

Abstract The dissertation addresses the issue of architecture in municipal housing built between the two wars in the town of Ústí nad Labem. From mid-nineteenth century the North Bohemian industrial agglomeration, populated mostly by Germans, experienced unprecedented urban and demographic growth. Thus, between 1919 and 1938, the municipality developed a comprehensive project of approximately one hundred buildings. The thesis identifies relations and balanced proportions between a formal analysis of the individual stages of development and a study of their broader historical context. The method of art-historical analysis is applied, whereby the projects are chronologically classified and their urban, typological and chronological aspects are assayed and assessed.
