Kompaktní město - aneb co nového se může ještě dít v Brně mezi nádražími / Compact City - or what new is able to yet be done in Brno among railway stations

Strnad, Roman January 2010 (has links)
The integration of an official project for overground railway viaduct into envisaged urban structure of Brno city south centre is the key consideratoin of this project. In terms of transportation relationships in the regional scale this line can provide with the transport options spread more evenly. Moreover, the junction in the existing position would remain in operation since the new regional railway station is placed in there, avoiding the only junction available in the replaced station further away. The new regional line technical project (concept: ing. Josef Veselý, project: Metroprojekt a.s.) has inserted the railway viaduct upon the space designated for a wide boulevard connecting the replaced railway station to the city centre. The boulevard is defined in the city´s masterplan. In terms of architecture, image of the city and sensual quality of space, the presence of a huge traffic infrastructure is not desirable and causes serious public and proffesional considerations. The Compact City project challenges this dilemma by wrapping the viaduct in the building volumes. The project suggests that the spaces both beneath the viaduct and above it could be utilized. Such a solution has been seen in many european cities (Vienna, London, Paris, Amsterdam). The Compact City project´s land use strategy brings up and defines relatively broad and homogenous areas for distinctive uses. This is derived from the knowledge that the particular uses tend to accumulate and segregate from one another so as to reach the most efficient position. Being the city considered as a whole the mixture of uses seam to be more convenient when an appropriate scale of mixture is achieved. Enclaves of a particular size, nor too big nor too small, would be glued and connected by a elements shared in use and heterogenous in form. The housing area is both divided and at the same time connected to the area of commercial and shopping by means of the public amenities being housed in the overrail building. Particularly those uses and activities are envisaged and designed which do not require a perfect contact and access to and from the street space.

Revitalizace veřejných prostorů hlavního nádraží v Brně a podchodu pod ním / Revitalization of the Central Station and the Underpass Beneath

Richter, Jiří January 2011 (has links)
Current Status Because we are waiting for transfer of the station, the railway is in a deplorable state. Technical and capacity (we can check 30 000 passengers per hour, during the fair is required 50 000 passengers per hour). During the reconstruction is needed to create a network of stations that are interconnected with the public transport. The train will become part of public transport and reduce the burden on the main station node. Move or don't move? The question which is difficult to answer. Both options have their advantages and disadvantages, and they are changing over time. The situation has changed very much in the advent of the financial crisis. Therefore, it should be professional discussion leading to the optimal solution. This does not happen, politicians are divided into two groups already know in advance that their pproposal is the best. Afterwards, looking for a reasons. I decided to check the option not move. The biggest drawback of this option is problematic construction (in service or temporary move). The biggest advantage is its link to public transport and the proximity to the town. Region Connection to the region is very important for me. This I see as a advantage of Brno, which should be further developed. Together with the development of public transport, automobile transport should be reduced. Barrier My work is trying to disprove the idea that the railway creates a barrier. On the contrary, I try to look at rail as a place that connects. Not only each stop, but the parts of the town as well. Construction Reinforced concrete arches are arranged in a triangle layout, creating a spatial truss. There is a train station in it. Trains ar placed on it. Typology The station is treated as free space, which is subsequently filled with different functions. These functions may be, if necessary, modified.

Ponava – potenciál rozvoje území / Ponava – potential of area development

Holý, Martin January 2012 (has links)
Problem - Ponava is an area with relatively large areas of brownfield sites. Ponava should be territory with clearly defined texture blocks, mixed functions , high proportion of total housing and urban character. The area solved in this work was selected as most suitable for the creation of the initiation core, ie core starting as development of the whole territory. Uncertainty about the future, including needs to be in 5, 10, 20 years doing the classic urban planning dysfunctional method of working with the territory. Solution - My urban concept seeks to provide sufficient flexibility in terms of use of buildings and open spaces. It is particularly advantageous because it can hold more small investors, who can work independently. Each part of the territory may work alone, just under the current situation and needs of society. The concept is simple division of the area in a regular rectangular network by the same part of the individual and their subsequent filling. Placing buildings is chessboard, thus ensuring their adequate sun and at the same time easy permeability of territory in all directions. The spaces between buildings have in the outer parts character of living square with a strong influence of the adjacent street. Inside these areas is the interspace quiet and mainly serves the local population.

PROMĚNA BRNĚNSKÉHO BRONXU / TRANSFORMATION OF BRONX IN BRNO

Najvarová, Lucie January 2014 (has links)
The strategy reacts to social exclusion of inhabitants of the Cejl district. It supports employment and intends to build a dynamic public space, that is missing in the area. Social urbanism focuses on the interaction of inhabitants between each other and with the spaces, and creates conditions for new workplaces. The massive broken block gets the order. The park defines a system for future development and opens up new possibilities of usage. Thanks to its low cost construction, the park can work immediately. The order created by the park allows the future objects to emerge freely and spontaneously. The design is not definitive, but it works in every phase or combination.

PŘESTAVBA PRŮMYSLOVÝCH AREÁLŮ A ZÓN - BOX FACTORY OLOMOUC / REBUILDING OF THE INDUSTRY AREALS AND ZONES - BOX FACTORY OLOMOUC

Serenčko, Igor January 2014 (has links)
The main aim of the project is to create a multifunctional complex, which should provide an overall space for public entertainment, art and culture. It is also important to say that this project is trying to focuse on the younger generation and their needs. On the other hand, the region seeks to promote leisure for all ages. Program of the project has provided a clear definition of the concept and objectives that should be achieved in this infrastructure. That provides a number of options, such as how to split function in the area, or how to create a functional program for new and existing buildings of the whole area.

Česká bytová výstavba 1958-1970 / Czech Housing Construction 1958-1970

Novotná, Eva January 2018 (has links)
The presented dissertation concerns selected topics on flat construction in the 60's - experiments and prefabricated housing estates - and examines them closely in four different layers - political, ideological, architectonic and social. The work is structured into four main chapters, which constitute four pillars to uncover the history of flat construction and its context. The initial hypothesis of the dissertation was that the birth of panel housing estates at the end of the 50's, as well as its form and content in the upcoming decade, was influenced by the different starting points of the four mentioned layers. The viewpoint of state socialism and its ideology stemmed from the situation, when architecture in the whole socialistic block seized to be the instrument of Stalinist political representation in the spirit of the socialist realism and it became an important instrument of social reform on the promoted path to communism. This opinion, projected on an economic level, lead to an assumption that an affordable and high-quality collective housing makes the society effectively economically modernized. The living in these housing estates was intended to become the "display window" of the socialist lifestyle as well as the means of a morally higher type of consumer society. In the atmosphere of...

Možnosti a přesahy tradiční lidové architektury jako inspirace pro ekologicky šetrnou architekturu současnosti / Possibilities and Overlaps of the Traditional FolkAarchitecture as an Inspiration for the Environmentally Friendly Architecture Today

KURINCOVÁ, Marie January 2009 (has links)
The work deals with the possibility of use the traditional knowledges and methods in construction with regards to today's lifestyle and technology, emphasizes the importance of the legacy, respect for countryside, individuality and surrounding environment. Above all I try to summarize the information about the current situation in architecture of family houses, which influence dominates in this area and which choices we have. I target especially the organic architecture mainly for wood constructions. At the beginning of the work I describe the issues of present architecture. I am dealing with the question if traditional and modern way of life must be in conflict, how we change our environment today and what could be the eventual effects for the future. The second part of the work is focused on the traditional vernacular architecture in South Bohemia, especially in the Bohemian Forest (Šumava) region, on types of construction, use and processing of materials and their integration into the countryside. The final part is applied to present ecology architecture. Firstly I summarize and identify the objects in general, subsequently I focus on the wood constructions, which correspond to traditional knowledge and experience in the manufacture and processing of wood.

Torzo krajiny. Příběh barokní krajiny severních Čech / A torso of a landscape. The story of a baroque landscape of northern Bohemia.

Drápalová, Kristýna January 2016 (has links)
(English) This study has two aims. First, to reconstruct the landscape arrangement of the northern tip of the North Bohemian Basin at the end of the baroque era, focusing on compositional relationships between landscape dominants, both in a scale of pilgrim areas, castles, churches and monasteries and in a scale of chapels and small sculptural and architectonic monuments. The second aim is to, on the example of this - in baroque era extraordinarily rich landscape - examine the phenomenon of the Czech baroque landscape by comparing conclusions of the reconstruction with the widespread conception of compositional principles of baroque landscape. For this purpose, a comprehensive catalogue of architectonic and sculptural monuments in the researched area at about 1780, was compiled. Thereafter a map was created, that shows not only the objects as such, but also the compositional relationships between them. The most important resource for the map was a collection of maps of the First military mapping of Bohemia. In the text, the landscape is described through the perspective of a baroque pilgrim, browsing the landscape along the old roads of three selected routes. The conclusions are then summarized in the final chapter. As a result of my study, I came to the conclusion, that neither the researched...
