January 2011 (has links)
Dissertation/Thesis / M.A. Spanish 2011

Concerning the transition of learning : A case study of the LMS and e-learning situation at university department level

Rådemar, Joakim January 2016 (has links)
Uppsala University (UU) is a complex institution, which combines geographically disparate campuses, as well as distance education programs and metropolitan sites for international students. Like many other universities, UU is currently reviewing its elearning and Learning Management Systems (LMS) situation. In effect, signalling the desire for a strategic change in the future management of learning and teaching arrangement. This thesis analyzes UU’s strategic position and current drivers of change from a LMS and elearning perspective. Conclusions drawn on the results suggests both retarding and accelerating measure for effective LMS and elearning engagement. The author contend that adoption of a LMS systems is likely to enhance an elearning situation if engaged with indicated drivers of change. Illuminating potential LMS transition process, including summation for the upcoming transition.

Směrovací protokoly pro MANET sítě se zaměřením na QoS / Routing protocols for MANET network with focus on QoS

Potfay, Attila January 2013 (has links)
The main task of this master’s thesis is to simulate the routing protocol AODV (Adhoc On-Demand Distance Vector Routing) to the Network Simulator ns-3 environment, and to realize a model of MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) network with the support of Quality Of Service (QoS). Further implement the protocol AODV in real devices and the involvement of such nodes in the simulation process using the simulator ns-3. This work provides the theoretical basics: it deals with the primary characteristics of MANET, describes in detail the routing protocols MANET with support of QoS, provides information about the Network Simulator ns-3 simulation environment, describes in detail the existing implementation solutions of the protocol AODV in to real devices and provides information about the methods of involvement real devices to the simulation.

Fahlén, Matthias January 2013 (has links)
Web-based information systems are now a common practice for companies to optimize their operations. By making use of web applications such as web services, resources and data can easily be shared within the company at a local and even global level over the internet, by accessing these resources and data from centralized databases through the web-service. This work was performed at Syntronic Software Innovations (SSI) in Gävle and it is based on their specifications and requirements that the system has been developed. This thesis describes how such a web system can be developed, as well as how the techniques and tools available today are best suited for the purpose. To answer these questions, the design science research method has been used. The techniques and tools that the research showed to be best suited for this purpose will then be used to practically develop an IT artifact in the form of a web system where a web application - or web service - contains the functionality to connect to the database and retrieve data, and a client to which the data will be retrieved. The IT artifact is then evaluated using the method of "black box testing", or verification testing, to determine whether the system met the requirements in the requirement specification. The research shows that it is possible to develop such a system by means of the research method used.
