Vård av patienter med ESBL. Var hittar sjuksköterskan aktuella vårdrutiner

Bakgrund: Statistik visade att i vården och i samhället har antalet bärare avmultiresistenta bakterier, t e x ESBL ökat. Som skydd mot smittspridningtillämpades basala hygienrutiner. Lokala riktlinjer framtagna av infektionsexpertisfanns tillgängliga på intranätet där de kontinuerligt uppdaterades. Syfte: Syftetmed studien var att undersöka var sjuksköterskan hittade aktuella vårdrutiner vidvård av patienter med ESBL. Metod: Empirisk tvärsnittsstudie med kvantitativforskningsansats. Enkätmaterialet analyserades i Excel 2011 och öppna frågoranalyserades med manifest innehållsanalys. Resultatet redovisades med deskriptivstatistik. Urval: Legitimerade sjuksköterskor på nio vårdavdelningar på ett mindresjukhus i södra Sverige. Resultat: Av de 85 som svarade använde 86 % sjukhusetsintranät som en informationskälla, tätt följt av Vårdhandboken på 73 %. Det var33 % som hade kunskap om hur ESBL spreds och 82 % kände sig trygga ochsäkra när de vårdade patienter med ESBL. Slutsats: Majoriteten avsjuksköterskorna använde sig av intranätet för att finna aktuella vårdrutiner.Andra sökkällor som användes var Vårdhandboken, hygiensjuksköterskan ochkollegor. / Background: Statistics showed that in health care and in the community, thenumber of carriers of multidrug-resistant bacteria, such as ESBL has increased.As a protection against communicable diseases basic hygiene routines wasapplied. Local guidelines developed by infection expertise were available on theintranet where they were continuously updated. Objective: The aim of this studywas to investigate were the nurse found the current care routines in the care ofpatients with ESBL. Method: Empirical cross-sectional study with quantitativeresearch approach. Data from the questionnaire were analyzed in Excel 2011 andopen questions were analyzed by manifest content analysis. The results werepresented as descriptive statistics. Sample: Registered nurses at nine wards in asmall hospital in southern Sweden. Results: Out of the 85 who responded, 86%used the hospital intranet as an information source, followed closely byVårdhandboken at 73%. There were 33% who had knowledge of how the ESBLspread and 82% felt secure and safe when they were caring for patients withESBL. Conclusion: The majority of the nurses used the intranet to find currentcare routines. Other repositories used was Vårdhandboken, the hygienenurse andcolleagues.
