The thesis in theoretical layer deals with issues of pedagogical secondary schools, particularly in methodological approaches to preschool education. The author will focuses on this topic from the perspective of high-school of pedagogy teachers. She will elaborate on psychological characteristics of a preschool age child in the context of integration and polyaesthetization. She will characterise processes by which personal values are formed. She will deal with dynamics of contemporary changes of both society and family and with perception of education in kindergartens in the field of personality concept of education. The research will introduce opinions on contemporary needs of pedagogical practice and its reflection on professional pedagogical, scientific and academic grounds that will be ascertained through the means of interviews with teachers having a long-time experience with teaching at pedagogical high schools in the Czech Republic and by survey among secondary pedagogical school's students.

Hanková This thesis focuses on the experiential pedagogy about the implementation of personal and social education. The research aims to investigate and describe the determinants of the experiential pedagogy, particularly about the didactical thinking of group teachers who plan and implement teaching personal and social education in a Czech basic school. The theoretical grounds of this current study are based on the extensive comparison of heterogenous terminology of experiential pedagogy, general didactics, and didactics of personal and social education. This study adopts the qualitative research paradigm with multiple-case- studies research design. The data have been gathered from thematic writing and focus group interviews which were analysed by the content analysis method with the support of axial analysis. The analysis of didactical thinking is concerned with the objective and the experience as a means of learning and reflection and revealed that teachers determine their didactical thinking and practice by the knowledge of the group and individuals concerning psychological safety. The task of contemporary education is not only to equip pupils with skills and knowledge, but to give them postures and values as well. That is one of the goals of the so-called cross-curricular subjects, which were brought by the education reformation accomplished several years ago. This area is as new for many teachers as it is for pupils and that is the reason why this master thesis was created. It provides basic information about cross-curricular subjects and supplies options for their practical implementation in the education. The theoretical section aims at the characterization of Czech and foreign cross-curricular subjects and their mutual comparison. The research section, among others, contains practical suggestions interconnecting the cross-curricular subjects with natural sciences education, and some of them have been verified in practice. Questionnaire survey follows, finding out the position of high school students towards the cross-curricular subjects and towards key-competence developing activities. Students also expressed their opinion on the practical suggestions application during education in this survey. In conclusion of the study, the observed results were evaluated and compared with the literature and author's opinions.

Eliška Bucvanová. Diplomová práce. Citizenship - Theoretical Bases and Teaching Practice ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH Weak civil society can be seen as a possible drawback of Czech democracy. One of the possible ways of building it is citizenship education provided within the compulsory school system. Citizenship is also the main subject of this work, which uses qualitative research methods to find out how the concept of "citizenship" is understood by teachers at a selected primary school, what information they provide to pupils on this subject and how. Since the scope of the paper would be insufficient, it does not intend to map the state of citizenship education in the Czech Republic: its aim is to find out how teachers approach the subject and whether their opinions coincide, and to compare their views with the information contained in literature. The results of the work show that the selected school is at a comparatively high level; however, the teachers' attitudes to citizenship education and its aims lack consistency and comprehensiveness and, also, the pupils' knowledge highly varies. This can be due to the fact that citizenship education has long been in need of an integrated approach and, very probably, also training opportunities for teachers that would help them develop their professional skills. The aim of this work is to contribute to finding the best wals, to prevent violence and bullying among pupils in primary schools. As one of the possibilities offered is the use of Drama Education. In the practical part are evaluated the views of teachers on the use of drama education in the prevention of violence and bullying. The main part is the project focused on primary prevention, wich was verified in practice. Based on experience, are written to each activities recommendations and advice for future implementation. Verification project in practice confirms that the use of methods of Drama is one of the possible ways, how to address the prevention of violence and bullying among pupils in primary schools.

Work gives a picture of the current state of teaching of health education and determines the extent to which schools meet the requirements of health promotion. The theoretical part describes the historical development of health education curriculum in primary schools since the early twentieth century to the present. The practical part deals with the integration of Health Education in schools, through the analysis of educational programs and survey.

The main objective is to monitor the situation of children's home of clients in the institutional education. The diploma thesis deals with parent education at school at theoretical part. Its aim is to provide the necessary methodological ideas and principles which can promote better preparation for teachers of primary and lower secondary schools to implement parent education. The present work highlights the importance of family upbringing for the child's personality, the majority of the current instability in Czech families and the history of problematic areas and deficiencies in preparing children and adolescents for their future role as a father and a mother. The theoretical part is completed by defining the necessary requirements for teacher personality which dedicated to teaching about family and parenthood at the school. At the empirical part, there is a questionnaire to a sample probe 72 Czech teachers of first and second degree qualified to teach elementary science, health education, civic education (education for citizenship), family education, personal and social education, respectively other objects within which pay attention to family and parenthood. It was concluded that the attitudes of teachers to teach these topics in the choice proved to be rather positive. The diploma thesis is focused on host care in the Czech Republic. The first chapter deals with attachment and its explanation. The second chapter describes alternative care in the Czech Republic. The list of alternative care forms and types of institutional care are included in this part. The third chapter is focused on host care and its legislative framework, forms, advantages, risks and the process of host care mediation. In the fourth chapter there are introduced specific examples of host care. The fifth chapter describes the survey methodology focused on host care. The sixth chapter contains thequestionnaire survey assessment. To define the issue, the author uses specialized literature aimed at substitutional family care and host care, Czech laws (i.e. Social-legal protection of the children law, Civil code, the law of institutional care accomplishment). She also derives from websites occupied by host care, such as civic association Děti patří domů, The Centre for Adoption and Foster Care. The aim is to verify theoretical facts followed from specialized sources and the description of host care in the Czech Republic.

The integration of drama education in the primary education is one of the frequently discussed topics in the contemporary education. This diploma thesis deals mainly with the use of drama as a supplementary teaching method for the work with literary texts. The main aim is to compare the efficiency of literary education that uses standard educatory methods with the education that uses methods and techniques of drama education. The theoretical part deals especially with the terms personality of a child of lower school age, literacy and drama education. The practical part emphasizes the strong impact that own experience have on children readers and therefore underlines the efficiency and applicability of drama methods and techniques not only in the literary education, but in other subjects as well. It also contains the used methodic and results of the research based on questionnaires which were used for recording and tracking of the memorized information.The focus group for the research consists of pupils of lower school age.
