This thesis analyzes determinants of housing construction in regions in the Czech Republic. The main research question is the impact of standard of living on housing construction. The living standard is expressed in terms of net disposable income per capita and housing construction represents the number of housing starts. Other determinants included to the model estimation are rate of unemployment, housing price and number of mortgage. Analysis works with the panel data from period 2005- 2015 and all variables are used in the logarithmic form with one year lag. The model is estimated by random effects model. The assumption about positive impact of living standard on housing construction is not confirmed, because of the statistical insignificance of variable net disposable income. In case of other variables expected effects are confirm. The increases in rate of unemployment and housing prices have the negative impact on housing construction. And opposite the number of mortgage has positive impact on housing construction.

The thesis creats a Feasibility Study focusing on housing project "Panorama Kyje". Theoretical part describes particular analyses which are used in Feasibility Study and is focused on housing construction. The analyses are made in practical part for project "Panorama Kyje" which Ekospol a.s. is planning to build in Prague. The analyses are focused on economical and technical conditions or environment and also describes the risks of this project.

The availability and quality of housing is very closely related to the development in the building industry and to the economic opportunities in the given state. This thesis deals with the relationship between tax policy and new housing construction. Taking influence on the building industry through tax policies - that is to say, through indirect instruments - is particularly advantageous thanks to the low administrative overhead, as no further redistribution from public budgets is necessary. Hiding behind this advantage, though, are a number of difficult-to-estimate quantifications in the form of tax allowances or, conversely, of the amount of the tax burden. Indirect instruments can influence residential development activities in both positive and negative ways, and this thesis addresses both. Aside from tax instruments, the state may support new housing construction through direct instruments, a term which covers various forms of loans at preferential terms, grants and subsidies. The aim of this thesis is to test the hypothesis about the effectiveness of housing policy in terms of housing construction through direct and indirect instruments.

Development of housing construction in the context of regional population development in Czechia Abstract The main aim of the thesis is to analyze and describe the development of housing construction in the context of regional population development in the Czech Republic in the years 2000- 2019. Spatial autocorrelation (LISA) and Webb's graph, which is used in analyzes of regional population development, were used for data analysis. Areas with above-average and, on the contrary, below-average housing construction are observed in four five-year periods. These areas are mutually compared in terms of their population development. The main result of the thesis is the confirmation of the assumption that in most cases, areas with above-average housing construction are also characterized by above-average population growth and are located in the hinterland of large cities (especially Prague) as part of the suburbanization process. The main goal of this thesis is to point out grave risks during the preparation phase of an investment plan from the investor's point of view. The preparation of construction investment plans will be introduced using the construction preparation models of the state-owned Česká pošta, a traditionally very experienced enterprise when it comes to capital construction projects. In the theoretical section the complete preparation of capital construction projects will be discussed. In the practical section I will present particular projects that weren't void of problems, and the causes will be determined. We will find out that these causes are not random, and present a permanent risk. In the closing section the measures for elimination of these risks will be presented.

This Diploma thesis deals with possibilities of utilizing earth as a building material for con-struction of detached houses using the rammed earth technology. Research in domestic and foreign literature led to description of the historical development of building from earth, overview of historical technologies and historical development of the technology of rammed earth. Subsequently, the thesis deals with nowadays very relevant problematics of sustainable construction, which is closely related to the use of natural materials, such as earth. Furthermore, the thesis describes the technology of rammed earth with examples of already realized buildings, both in the Czech Republic and other countries. The last part of the research describes selected methods of testing the physical-mechanical properties of rammed earth used abroad. The first section of experimental part deals with the design of earth mixtures for three specific sites (Dolany, Valchov and Dolní Těrlicko), using a computer model in Excel. The rest of experimental part contains the design of methodology for the production of test specimens for the pressure testing, and selected tests are performed for better knowledge of the physical-mechanical properties of the designed earth mixtures. The last part of the thesis discusses the problematics of legislative process of permitting rammed earth buildings and practical construction recommendations.

The Master’s thesis deals with achievement of high-quality logistic activities concerning work with exhibits which should lead to the increase of cultural value of the National Technical Museum. As for the content of the work, it includes theoretical knowledge from the branch of museums, the description of the current premises for storing of the exhibits and the analysis of the curators’ activities. After the analysis some embarrassments are discovered and possible solutions are designed afterwards. The construction of a new depositary hall and the creation of a new division are the results.

The object of this diploma thesis is the design and review of a bridge on a ramp. The bridge is part of a junction between the expressway R35 and the highway D1. Three case studies were made. The bridge construction is solved as continuous beam with six spans. The resulting design was made of prestressed concrete according to valid standards. The gradual construction was taken into consideration.

This thesis evaluates the influence of thermal insulation of residential building design for expenses associated with operating the property. The thesis first analyzes the current problems in our panel construction, basic concepts related to energy performance of buildings and methods of supplying heat to the building. Is discussed in more detail the way the building insulation using ETICS. In assessing the economic returns are two options proposed austerity measures. The work includes Energy Performance Certificate apartment house, on the basis of the assessed amount of energy saved for the variations of thermal insulation. Both variants are also measured by isolating the needs for economic evaluation. The conclusion assesses the turnaround time of each action.

A quantification of costs of an insulation on multi-storey buildings and determination of returns on investments in the insulation due to cost savings for heating energy is the subject of this thesis. Analysis of the current statuses of prefabricated houses in the Czech Republic, possibilities of insulating, and characterization of thermal insulation materials are involved in the thesis. It is also included a description of the method for determining the energy performance of the building. The core of this work is the statistical comparison of the prices of two residential buildings in Trebic using the bid prices. These residential buildings, which differ by the number of floors, are assessed concerning impacts of the insulation works. There is also calculated the amount of saved energy for heating which is further used for determination of return on investments into complete building insulation.
