Návrh mokřadního biotopu v katastrálnímú území Zbýšov

Gernešová, Lucie January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of the wetland biotope in the cadastral area of Zbýšov (Vyškov district). The main aim of the proposal is to create a naturally close wetland biotope, which would allow for the occurrence of wetland plants and animals by its conditions and at the same time it would contribute to the increase of biodiversity in the given area and at the same time it would become a functional component in terms of water retention in the landscape. The subject of the proposed area of interest is the appropriate location of excavated flow and impassable pools with unstable water levels during the year and the selection of appropriate accompanying vegetation. The work also offers information on possible financial resources for the proposed measures.

Klasifikace vegetačního pokryvu z dat DPZ pro účely vyhodnocení rizika nákazy klíšťovou encefalitidou / Tick-borne encephalitis risk assessment based on classification of vegetation from remote sensing data

Červená, Lucie January 2012 (has links)
Tick-borne encephalitis risk assessment based on classification of vegetation from remote sensing data Abstract The main aim of this thesis has been to find out how to classify various categories of forest vegetation with a different risk of exposure to the tick-borne encephalitis based on the Landsat imagery. The legend used here is derived from the one used in the projects by Daniel, Kolář, Zeman (1995) and Daniel, Kolář, Beneš (1999) but has been reduced to only five classses with no overlaps in their definitions (I. coniferous stands, II. mixed stands, III. young deciduous stands and stand ecotones with a highly heterogeneous structure, IV. deciduous stands with a homogeneous structure, V. deciduous stands with a heterogeneous structure). The supervised classification with the Maximum Likelihood Classifier has been used on the Landsat imagery from various seasons. Difficulties concerned with the presence of clouds and varying Sun elevation across the imagery had to be adressed in the course of the work. The training sites and the control points have been defined by the field research and interpretation of the relevant orthophotomaps and Landsat imagery in 5-4-3 RGB composite. The mask of the forest has been created on the ZABAGED data basis. The time horizon of 2006 - 2010 has been the primary focus....

Botanický průzkum nivy revitalizovaného úseku Jedlového potoka (NP Šumava) / Botanical survey of a restored segment of the Jedlový stream (Šumava National Park)

PADRTOVÁ, Markéta January 2019 (has links)
The Jedlový Potok is a tributary of the Teplá Vltava River and is situated in the Upper Vltava Floodplain in the Šumava National Park. Part of the Jedlový Potok has been restored in 2015. The aim of the thesis was to record the flora on permanent plots in the Jedlový potok floodplain in the third year after its restoration. Four type of habitats were distinguished in the Jedlový potok floodplain. An extensively mown wet Cirsium meadow and Phalaris arundinacea marsh occurred in the riparian zone with a more fluctuating water table while a short-sedge fen and an Eriophorum vaginatum mire formed a peatland zone further away from the watercourse. Phytosociological relevés were recorded and groundwater table level was measured on two permanent plots within each habitat. Eighty plant species were recorded on the permanent plots. A total of 124 vascular plants was identified in the whole area of interest in the Jedlový Potok floodplain, 17 endangered species included. The botanical survey confirmed the spatial pattern of biotopes typical in the Teplá Vltava River floodplain and a high richness of the floodplain flora.

Effects of charcoal and wood fuel production on Ghana´s vegetation - A case study of Varimpere in the Wa West District

Osei, Priscilla January 2015 (has links)
Unrestrained population growth especially in the developing countries, the necessity for existence as well as the desire for comfort are the major causes of environmental resources depletion in the world with particular reference to Ghana. One of the most exploited environmental resources in Ghana which is mostly not replaced is vegetation specifically trees. This paper aims to look into the effect of charcoal and wood fuel on Ghana's vegetation. A combination of qualitative and quantitative methodological approaches were used in data collection and analysis. These methods include: questionnaire and interview. The findings show that charcoal and wood fuel is the means of revenue for the people of Varimpere village leading to desertification due to the source of domestic fire in use. Also other means of domestic fuel such as wind, solar, kerosene, electricity, coal and gas are not made available at affordable rates and therefore does not encourage the use of continuous and constant supply. Shea and Mahogany trees were the most preferred species due to the quality of charcoal and wood fuel products it produces. The findings also revealed that forestry services division whose role is to regulate the cutting of trees was not playing this role well due to inadequate personnel, logistics among others. The study concluded that measures of mitigating desertification such as afforestation and planting trees programs. Also some mitigation measures included creation of other jobs such formation of women groups to encourage the expansion of the Shea butter processing industry.

Doprovodná vegetace vodních toků

Hamata, Jakub January 2016 (has links)
This thesis pays attention to description of river developement, functioning, and their influence on the watershed landscape. It also focuses on the topic of relationship between rivers, riparian ecosystems, and human society. Those information showed the importance of river existence within the landscape and urban areas. The final part of the literary overview describes how rivers should be implemented into the spatial and landscape planning process in conditions of Czech republic. The methodology for river ecological quality assesment contains three basic levels: the level of the watershed, the level of dams or ponds, and the level of the river itself. This way it is possible to design stabilization and developement measures effectively and conceptually. Special attention has been payed to design a methodology that requires reasonable equipement, reasonable amount of time, and delivers useful high quality data. The methodology has been applied in chosen part of the Pšovka river. Chosen area has been analysed and evaluated accordingly to the designed methodology. Stabilization and developement measures have been designed on three basic levels described above. Those measures aim to stabilize and improve the quality of the watershed, and river including its riparian ecosystems. This is achieved by designing regulations, technical constructions, and vegetation elements.
